This is for all android devs working on the port for the HD2.I've had a chance to play with some ports and my results are quite good.I'm very surprised at how stable this has been for me and wish to share with all.My results is as follows. My ROM is a wwe 1.66 and changed my radio to 2.10.50.08.Useing the froyostone_sense port it has been fantasic and very very stable.Only very few issues,LED notifacations don't work and usb file transfer seem to be a'miss through.I hope this helps in further developments for the fantastic HD2.This is my first ever post but after reading many many post on this subject,I'm hoping this is a help to those on the same ROM.Hoping this will help many people out.If you need advice i would be pleased to help.Thank my girl friend for her patience more than me.

Thank you for sharing. Unfortunately, you posted in the wrong section. Development threads are only for actual development work and not for sharing experiences. I will move your thread to the General section of the HD2 Android forum.

I know most builds are not tmous compatible, but can we have some builds just for tmous usa only?

I agree. if there are more builds for tmobUS, I think it may help solve mms and data connection freeze. But we are still very appreciative of their current builds.

I am deeply appreciative for all the great work the devs have done. Just like the Rom section has tmous and all other roms sections. But Ty too all who answer me!!

I have tried probably almost every build on this forum.
They are all compatible. I am currently using Darky's newest build with excellent results.
Before that it was Mdeejays Evo; which I may go back to.
With all due respect; Give it a break. Do the research. There are many threads about how to resolve minor issues such as you describe.
I have no problems with most builds, but I did try the one tmous build recently available and it drained my battery faster than a drunk drains a pint. I had a full battery and a few hours later the phone shut down from lack of juice. That was a first.

Not only that, but CMYLXGO released a tmous compatible build before you made this thread. Please do some research before you make a post like this. And, remember the cooks are doing this for free. They're just sharing something, if you don't like it, or it doesn't work the way you want it to, learn how to customize it; or make your own.

You can patch any build , or download patched build
once i get more time and somebody actually helps me properly set up my dev environment, you'll be seeing more T-Mo US builds from me.
The whole lack of building from code is what has stopped me from doing further work.
Ty justwonder, instead of a nasty comment, you helped me.. I have read countless pages, and sometimes you don't have the time to look up stuff, sorry xda community if I bothered you... jeeeeesh

I don't know what you guys mean US-compatible builds. AFAIK, only the APN is what should make it compatible, and, if that's the case, then all that's needed is for you to put cyanogen's APN list inside Android/root/system/etc on your SD so that it gets written to the system and make most APNs available.
You can download the newest CM APNs list from here:
http://github.com/CyanogenMod/andro...6648414c834/prebuilt/common/etc/apns-conf.xml
Hey guys, i live over in the Mytouch 4g forums, and i am part of Team Inferno. I am a Rom/Kernel/Modding dev on Team Inferno and we want to branch out and support other devices. I made a sense 4.0 mod that will increase battery life an performance greatly, it can be used on any Sense 4.0 running HTC devices but i need testers to...test it haha. My mod adds governors without modifying the kernel.
Positions that i am looking for
Head Tester- Will get get the results from the other testers and send them back to Team Inferno, you will also test
Tester- Just test stuff
Thanks for all your help and you'll definetly get credit!!!

You'll be doing ICS roms, right now, i am working on Sense 4.0 mods so use your choice of rom for that, ill pm you more info. Are you available to immediate testing?
I am.
Just be patient. Im still not used to the terminology/abbreviations you guys use (not that you have used any yet)
Just for you to have an idea. It was only last night I came across more or less how to work adb. Or something like that. Just lemme know how to install the mod.
If you need a logcat, point me in the right direction of getting you one.
Edit: Just in case, I have an Inspire.
Could you link me to the forum of the rom you guys are working on?
2nd edit: found the thread. Looks interesting.

The question or which ROM is the stablest is one of those very subjective things. "Stable" means different things to different people, though the Gingerbread ROMs tend to be the most bug-free and feature-complete. There is a ROM index at the development forum listing most of the ROMs available here. Just try a few for yourself.
Well Ok then I mean , Which is the most feature complete??

Like I told you, the Gingerbread ROMs (though the ICS ones are also quite stable and the JB ones are getting there). Beyond that, I strongly recommend that you try several out for yourself. The development forum's index will be a good resource. Additionally, each ROM's thread's first post will describe the highlights of that particular ROM. The most active ROMs will be clustered around the top of the dev forum.
Thanks pal

I have used BlackOut Incredible v3.1, Sabsa Prime v5.0 and TrickDroid v1.1.1.. I advise you to use TricDroid if you want sense 4 and BlackOut Incredible if you want sense 3.6. Both are stable.
Here is an up-to-date list of HTC Desire HD Custom ROMs from XDA.
Here are a few older custom ROM screenshots.
I enjoyed MIUI (Gingerbread version) for ages. The ICS version is also good. Many people like CyanogenMod. As people have said, it's a personal thing based on how you enjoy the feel and look of the UI.
I currently enjoy using Blackout ICS Incredible v3.1.0 which is my first HTC Sense ROM in a long time.
Hopefully ROM threads include screenshots for you to get an idea of things. For the other specs or included or missing things, you need to read the thread.
Of course all of the Desire HD XDA ROMS are listed in the Desire HD Android Development section.
Should it be a rom with sense or not? I would try cayanogen mod 7.2 or andoird revolution hd. but by the way, you are the only one who can say that is good for you
Thanks all. That was very kind of all of you

my advice:
take time to read the forum rules, before someone fight you away!
I don't know how much you've used xda but people get really pissed about these posts. My advice is read the rules and watch what you post. But to answer your question (and what the mod will probably say) you have to try different roms because everyone has their own favorites and their opinion on best.

Asking what the best rom is is like asking what's my favorite food to a random stranger. I would say you go to the Android development or Original development sections because all of the roms are there. Also, it depends on preference really, some roms offer customizability, while others are offering smoothness. Still, it is up to you.
I really like mlaws dirty ROMs they are stable fast and have all the current mods kernels and gapps all in one package.
Read around and see what ROMs have features you find useful try it if you don't like it flash another, but I would at least test it for a day or so .

The best way to find a rom, is to read the Rom threads, and find one that works for you.
Everybody has different opinions, and different roms work better on different devices.
Also, Best Rom threads are Taboo at XDA

You've been here long enough to know that there is NO 'best' or 'fastest' ROM. It's subjective and the answer varies from user to user. I think the easiest thing to do would be to quote myself here:
Nigeldg said:
Hey, what's the best colour?
What's the best food?
What's the best phone?
What's the best song?
What's the best movie?
What's the best car?
OH WAIT, YOU CAN'T ANSWER BECAUSE IT'S AN OPINION BASED QUESTION!
Seriously, I'm getting really tired of these best ROM threads. There is no correct answer, and yet you people still create them. All that happens is that they're closed by a mod or they turn into 10 post spam threads where new users open old threads to post questions in the dev forums. If you just wanted the ROM most people use then why not look at the thread view count and post count?
To quote PG101 (I think) 'coming to XDA and asking for the best ROM is like going into a bar full of drunks and asking what's the best drink'.
I wouldn't have posted this if you had admitted in post #6 that you're wrong through Marvlesz and Kameirus's pure logic, but you've somehow tried to justify posting an idiotic question which is quite annoying.

Typhoon CM7 v3.8.9
this is based on Lastest CM7 Build, so this is NOT ICS, this is Gingerbread...
but this rom is BLAZING FAST and VERY STABLE to daily use..
or if you want to use android 4.0+. i recommend NexusHD2-ICS-CM9 or NexusHD2-JB-CM10 Build..
can someone tell me which is the best version of CM10

I think this has gone on long enough. There is no 'best' ROM, there are only favorite ROMs. Thread closed.
