Sending attachments through web email

When I use pocket explorer to check and send email using my web-based email accounts such as yahoo or gmail, the button to attach files to the messages doesn't appear when I create email messages.
Is this a natural problem of pocket IE? Is there any way to attach files to messages using web-based email and pocket IE?
most likely this has to do with how much PIE supports scripts/java and other things. I'm not so informed of exactly what the problem is, but suffice it to say that it is not supported in PIE. You might want to try netfront.
sorry, you can use a webmail like gmail which supports pop3 and then you can simply load those settings onto the Magician and work from there, that's what I do and it's far more convenient. If you don't have a gmail account and want one, PM me your email address and I'll invite you.
aha, thanks for the info Xilicon! Thanks for the offer as well. I have a gmail account already, but I haven't set it up for pop3 yet. I'll do that soon as I can. Thanks again!

Deleting mail account from Wing?

Does anyone know how to do this? I set up my Wing to receive messages from my Gmail account, but now I've decided I don't want it on the phone anymore. I can't figure out how to remove the account.
open mail app the go to menu,tools,options...tap and hold the account u want to delete, then tap delete.....hope this helps
Ahhh, I always forget about the tap-n-hold. I'm an idiot. Thanks a lot!
Is there any other way to delete an account besides the tap-n-hold trick? It doesn't seem to be working for me with the ROM I'm using. Is there a place in the registry to delete these accounts? I know there is for Microsoft-based accounts (MSN, Outlook), but I'm trying to get rid of Gmail.
EDIT: Never mind. Going to Menu/Delete from Account Picker does the trick.

Dont suppose anyone can help me with my weird email problem!

I have a Nexus One working fine on Orange.
I use it for my Blueyonder email account which is set up just the same as it was on my Hero.
The problem is this:
I get the email notification to say i have new emails, then i go into my emails and the emails are there. Then it starts to refresh my emails and then before my eyes there all disappear! It deletes them before i have chance to read them.
If i then go onto my pc to check my emails there are none there. So its obviously deleting them from the server.
Now i have checked double and triple checked the settings. Its definitely not set to delete from server or even delete when read.
Any help will be appreciated as i dont know what is going on and I'm losing important emails.
I take it you are using the native email client?
Maybe this is not the answer that you are looking for but I use the Gmail App instead of the native Email client. That way I get the benefit of Push without having to refresh.
If you are interested in doing the same then all you have to do is..on your PC:
Gmail > Settings > Accounts and Import > Check mail using POP3: > Add POP3 email account.
Then all blueyonder emails will be pushed to the Gmail App and you can set a label for them as well.
Yes i am. I`m just upset that it doesnt work just like the Hero did. That was spot on..
I`ll try your idea if no one comes up with a solution for me. Cheers.
I agree with Abbsta... you should to add your blueyonder account to gmail and receive all your blueyonder emails in gmail account.
it is much easier and being a google phone it works well with gmail accounts...
I did what you said and its spot on cheers..
Just an update. Spoke to HTC had no idea why it was doing but suggested i use imap instead of pop3.
It worked!

Need help setting up email - New Android user

Hello,
I am very new to Android. I just received my Note 10.1 today. I am trying to configure my gmail and other mails on it. I want to use the mail app for all my emails instead of GMAIL app. How do I do that? When I initially booted the device, I used my gmail account and it automatically configured my gmail on the GMAIL app. I configured gmail on the native mail app as well. Now I have my gmail on both places, I want to use only the native mail app. Removing email sync under settings > accounts> is causing a sync error icon and it also cause the GMAIL app to crash.
Like I said I am very new to Android, this is my first android device. Can someone help me configure this? Hope I posted this on the right forum.
TIA

Hi, Thanks for reply. So you want me to use this new id to download apps etc on the play store, but use my main id for emails?
I don't use the Gmail app either. I use the Samsung stock e-mail client so my Exchange and other e-mail accounts are all in a unified inbox. Samsung's e-mail client can be set up on Gmail to receive "push" e-mail via Activesync. In the stock e-mail client set up a new e-mail account using your Gmail address and passord. On the first set-up page you'll see a "manual setup" option, select it.
Use these settings...
Under domain\user name enter...
google\"your e-mail address"@gmail.com
Under Exchange server enter...
m.google.com
Now you'll receive e-mails as they arrive in you Gmail inbox. This method is also less hard on the battery. Go in to Settings>Application manager and swipe three times to the left until "all" applications are showing. Scroll down to find the Gmail app. Open it and press "disable." Now all your Gmail will be routed through the stock e-mail client without being duplicated in Gmail.
P.S. - Gmail via Activesync is being discontinued to new users (legacy user's are protected) effective February 1, 2013.

Thanks for your reply. I have done the first part and it seems to be working. I see mails coming to the native mail app.
But I don't see an option to disable GMAIL app under app manager. All I have is force stop, uninstall updates, clear data, clear cache. NO other options. Am I missing something.

Oops. To disable an app you always have to uninstall any updates to it first. Once you do that you'll see the "disable" option.

I haven't tried that and at the moment I don't have my S8 with me, but tap and hold on your email app and when context menu comes app, tap "app info". There look for permissions and see what is turned on or off. This is just the theory and this is what I would first try to do.
Hello,
Thanks for the tip.
I'll write 5 mains email address each time I want to send one.
Regards
