Unlocked HD2 with GoPhone SIM...MMS Help - HD2 General

Hey everyone, I've been a long time member/modder here. I have my first GSM phone now and am having an issue I can't figure out on my own. I have a tmobile branded HD2 thats unlocked, using an ATT GoPhone SIM card. I've got everything working great except MMS. I downloaded the ATT MMS fix, but that hasn't worked. I've also tried to manually set up the MMS settings. I've searched and searched, was wondering if anyone has a quick solution for me. Thanks!
Jay

find the regular connectionsetup.cab (have a look through my previous posts, i posted a copy a few days ago) and install that.
The tmous only has settings for t mo, whereas the regular one has settings for pretty much all the networks. ( I think it has at&t, not had any confirmation of that, but worth a try, far easier than manually setting it up)

I'm searching but can't find it. Any chance you can post it up? Thanks
Jay

kk, no worries

That link is a confirmed fix for anyone in the same position as me. Thank you for posting that .cab
Jay

Thanks for confirming. I have been giving that response out to at&t users for a while, but never bothered to get it confirmed.

MMS problem on Vodafone UK - please help!

Hi guys,
I consider myself a pretty good with these devices but this one's got me...even the good ol' search facility aint giving me what I need.
Basically I got an unlocked Orange SPV M3100 with a Voda UK contract SIM.
I setup all the connection details and MMS server as i've found on web but also the HTC utility which sets it all up for you. I get the internet ok but no MMS!
'Error synchorizing' or similar is what I get - it doesnt even try to fire up the data connection - immediate response and i've triple-checked the settings for the MMS server. Anyone point me in a better direction?
Much appreciated.
My bet would be the MMS port is wrong, it should be 9201. Has the same problem after using a vodafone settings cab, everything else worked, just no MMS.
Double check your settings against the 2nd post in the thread below, i have used this setup many times and these settings are all 100% right.

Hi mate,
thanks so much for your reply. Still not working but I suspect it's something to do with the new WM6 (LWVS) rom i've got..it doesn't seem to be happy with it.
I've never had a problem before with any other version...weird.
Try Black, ive had no problems on vodafone and im flashing 3.01 as i type. I also find radio 1.40.30.00 works very well on vodafone, get it from the wiki if you havnt already
Just tried Black 3.01 as well and same problem...i must be doing something stupid..i've found several sets of instructions (all the same) and used the HTC utility which installs the settings for you (you select your country and operator) and I still get the same issue.
The thing I find really weird is that the MMS application doesn't seem to even attempt to initiate a data connection - just errors straight away.
I've not flashed back to LWVS Rom as it's my preferred flavour but i've got to be doing something wrong or missing something.
My radio ROM is 1.41.00.10 - not related to that is it? I'm about to try the version our mate has suggested above but if anyone has any other ideas...please do let me know.
Thanks!
It appears i'm a turnip!
It works - now that i've had a test sent to me! But if i manually press send/recieve it errors so probably was working all along! stupid error messages.
Thanks for your help though James - much appreciated.
im having this same problem on tmobile usa. any pointers guys. ever since the first version on wm6 i haven't been able to send or recieve a mms

Cannot send or receive MMS [tmobile]

I use Tmobile. Before i bought the Touch Pro 2, i owned a Nokia Supernova. I randomly lost the ability to send and receive picture messages. Since i was planning on buying a new phone anyway, i figured the problem will just be fixed when i do that.
It has been a couple months now with my HTC and the thought had completely left my mind until this week when various MMS messages needed to be sent and received and it was not happening. I then remembered the problem and realized that a new phone has not fixed the problem.
I have googled the problem and i have found it is common, however, everyone's experience with tech support has been the same "Hard Reset the device"
1. i doubt that will fix the problem since i have flashed 2 roms since i got the phone. Energyrom with CHT. The first just being an early build than the second.
2. the ONLY "solution" that i did find, did not work for me. [http://forums.t-mobile.com/t5/T-Mobile-Touch-Pro2/Can-t-Send-MMS-messages-HELP/m-p/268108]
And so as a last resort, i have come here to ask for some help.
Other than the 21 steps found in the above link, i have also tried the "Automatically Configure Connection" option on my device.
Thank you in advance.
Been having the same problem since my Tmo usa touch pro 2 and now the problem is back on my hd2. Tmo is not doing anything about this problem and its really pissing me the hell off man.
my sms/mms work fine on my unlocked tilt, even work on my nokia 6510. OP, ahve you contacted them and let them know about the issue?
I have used what is in that link for my old htc wizard, and now tilt. Worked great. Are you using the stock ROM or custom? I might recommend running a custom ROM and/or downloading the "connection setting" wizard.
hi. i have unlocked x10 and not been able to send or receive either. hard reset nothing. checked apn settings but nothing. with o2 and was advised that my sim card was 4 years old and only 2g. aparently i need a 3g sim card and he thinks this will work. have to wait 3 days for it. but strangely my previous phone was sony satio which was also a 3g but worked fine. but this is not uncommon aparently. so hopefully new 3g sim card will work. hope this will be helpful.
I have a touch pro 2 as well and under connection there should be a seperate tmobile connect that says tmobilee mms make sure everything in there is configured correctly,
I'm on prepaid, so I'm not sure if it's the same for those on contract.
One setting I found I needed to change to get MMS to work correctly (besides the obvious), is to change the WAP Version to 1.2....

i think it would help my situation (as well as others who are looking) if you would please post your settings under the T-Mobile MMS selection. because i have no idea if it is configured correctly.
What about for imagio
I am having similar problems, I have an imago and cant find out how to get mms, everytime i send a message it gets stuck in my outbox and received messages are blank, anyone know how to fix this, also i cant find the apn screen anywhere
Did you checked if your APN settings were still ok ?
After me flashing my phone i couldnt send/recieve mms either, Checked my APN settings, and they were not configured anymore. Went to the site of Vodafone and there it said which data i had to enter.

MMS

Hello, I know this question has come up many times. I hate to start a new thread about an old topic but im flat out lost. I just switched from my iPhone 4 to a Samsung Focus. It was sim unlocked and running 7.5 mango when i received it. Everything works fine on my carrier (i have a small local carrier) except the mms. Is there any way to edit the MMS settings yet or dev unlock it? Honestly I have no idea even where to start with all this. Any advice is greatly appreciated and again I'm sorry for starting a new thread for this old topic. Thanks
Download network connection from the Samsung zone in the marketplace.
Thanks, but since I posted this I have Dev unlocked the phone and Interop unlocked it so i could do the turn on APN settings. When i do that and reboot it says it cant find my data settings, I think because my carrier doesn't offer 3g and I've been told that edge wont push out the settings. I also tried the Samsung app network profile and it only gives me the ATT option. Any other options for me to get this working?
Thanks for the help
another question...is there any way to edit the ATT profile that the Network Profiles app pick up?
Hello again, I was just wondering if a solution has been found for this problem?

Can not send/receive MMS on AOSP/CM

Hello everyone
Usually I can find the solutions to my problems by just googling or searching on this forum. Not this time though.
Every since my GS2 I've been using AOSP/CM roms as I like these the best. Back then I could never send any MMS and didn't think much about it. Now I have my GS4 and I already sent some MMS using the stock ROM. I was surprised that I could indeed send MMS as I always thought it would be an issue with my SIM card.
Now this weekend I have flashed PAC rom (was also using this ROM the most on GS2) and yet again, I can not send nor receive any MMS. I have checked my APN settings and everything is correctly set. Deleting the settings and reinserting them doesn't help.
Anyone else having any trouble like this or know how to solve this? Not being able to send MMS is really a deal breaker for me :\

Hi CobyBE,
Which country do you live, what network are you on and do you have contract or pay-as-you-go

Hello Emayljames
I live in Belgium and I'm on Proximus network, it's a pay-as-you-go SIM card.
I have the exact same problem. I remember having this problem on my s2 or s3 too. Can't seem to remember if I found a fix for it,or if it got fixed in a rom update...
It's a real bummer though,'cause for now I have to use Sammy-roms,and I hate that! Hope there's a fix for this soon!

Has anyone successfully gotten MMS to work with Note III & Straight Talk?

Hello everyone, first post here.
I had an old Straight Talk sim which only did HSPA. Everything worked perfectly, but missing LTE of course. I ordered a new Straight Talk sim and now I have great LTE speeds, but I find that I can only send MMS messages and cannot receive any (downloads fail).
I was just wondering if anyone here got it to work, and if so what settings have you used? I've tried almost everything that I can at this point.
Thank you in advance.
Edit: Sorry, just noticed we're not supposed to ask questions in here.
