I have an alarm set up for 7:30am from Monday to Friday. Sometimes I wake up before that so I go to Alarms & Clocks, and tap on the alarm so that the alarm clock isn't green anymore. The alarm clock icon also disappears from my task bar at the top.
Then when 7:30 rolls around, the damn alarm clock goes off. Is this a bug or am I using it wrong?

It occured to me today that on my old (and beloved) XDA IIi if i didn't fill in a description when setting an alarm, it sometimes caused problems. So i thought i wonder how it works on the hd2
So i've been running an experiment for the past half hour.
1 - set an alarm using wm clocks and alarms,
2 - set another alarm using the sense alarm screen.
Result.
The wm alarm activates and plays the selected tone
The sense alarm activates but DOESNT make any noise, only the popup and the flashing LED.
I'll be setting all my alarms through the wm clocks and alarms screen from now on!
Update. I confirmed the above 4 times, with the same result, however as soon as i turned on the 'enable dismiss x time in notifications' tweak in bsbtweaks, both alarms now sound the alarm tone.
Curiouser and curiouser.
I really really love my HD2 but the only thing that I have a problem is the alarm clock. The alarm goes off and plays the notification but then doesnt repeat or a long pause between the notificatios. Is there a way to have the notification repeat till you turn off the alarm or a free alarm app alternative?
I'd love to know a good alternative app too because it doesn't seem I can select anything but the default alarm rings. I'd love to be able to play music instead
The best alarm I have found is G-alarm (not Free) but well worth the money. It allows for mp3 as alarms. do a search and you will find it
My problem with the stock alarm is that the pop up notification box no longer shows unless I tap on the notification bar first. I think it used to before I did a hard reset. Basicall when the alarm goes off I want to see that pop up box on the bottom where I can dismiss or snooze. It was so much more convenient then having to tap on the notification bar after unlocking. I also have BSB tweaks installed and have the dismiss x time option enabled.
EDIT: Found the solution in All Settings. Just had to enable the pop up.

settings - menu - all settings - sounds and notifications - notifications tab - select reminders - tick display message on screen
Attached is the free older version of G-Alarm.
Ok, as I understand it if you tap the alarm tab on the Sense Home page it is supposed to go to an HTC alarm app?
My HD2 does not do this. I tap the Alarm tap and it just lights up for a second. Thats it. No alarm app. The only way I've found to set an alarm is to go to settings -> all settings -> clocks and alarms and set it there.
Am I missing something?
click on the clock. then at the bottom, you have 2 choices, clock settings, and alarms.
Sadly I don't. Tried a soft reset too then tapping the clock again. Nada. I'm thinking it might have gotten f'ed up by one of the cabs I loaded.
Is there any good free alarm app for HD2 out there to download?
I downloaded Klaxon last night. Seems effective and free.

Hello
Hello I have the serious problem with Alarm Clock on my STOCK-NON-Rooted SGS5 (900F)
The config:
Localization services: ON ( not matter what type)
Alarm Clock set to specified hour
Weather and dual clock on lockscreen: OFF
The problem:
Alarm Starts with normal Sound
Device wakes up, on statusbar you can see Localization Icon blinking
After few seconds alarm is silenced - but still on the sceen you can see options to disable it ( disable / snoze )
The only remedy I found is to disable GPS/Localization services completly...
Does anyone know BETTER solution not breaking the device functionality?
Thanks in advance!
Looks pretty bad...
Noone has any clue how to fix it?
Maybe I should send it for warranty repair...
Device is pretty uses because alarm clock and GPS are very important functions of the device.
and in case that one function breaks another it really sucks...
Hi everyone!
Since 5 days ago I have the following problem:
A permanent Alarm icon suddenly appeared in my status bar along with mysterious alarm times shown in QuickSettings and on Lockscreen. See screenshots (they've been made with a 10 seconds time gap in between).
Alarms do not seem to be caused by any app that I can think of. When I click on the alarm in QuickSettings nothing happens (normally the responsible app would open).
What's strange is that the alarm times shown in QuickSettings and LockScreen are different and absolutely random. When their time is almost reached they reset themselves (alarm shown in QuickSettings auto-resets about ~12 h ahead, on LockScreen — about ~15 minutes ahead).
Obviously, I don't have any alarms/reminders/appointments/scheduals set in any app.
OxygenOS 2.2.1 (clean install), rooted, Boeffla kernel, no Xposed.
I have tried: setting alarms in Timely and Google Clock and letting them go off, uninstalling Timely alarm app completely and Google Clock (system app) updates, wiping ART+Cache from recovery.
Any help is much appreciated!
Thanks in advance.
I have the same strange problem.
There seems to be an alarm set to 1 minute in the future.

Can you provide more information please? What OS/kernel you're on, what apps do you have installed that may create alarms?
