Caller ID Photo pixelated? - EVO 4G General

I was wondering if there's anyway of making the caller id photo show with a higher resolution. Everything is pixelated and low quality. I've tried searching the topic to no avail. Any advice will be greatly appreciated )

It has to do with the images syncing to gmail and being compressed. I found a solution a while back. It requires you to export your contacts to the SD card and import them as PHONE contacts instead of gmail AND link each one. Its kinda lenghty but it seems to work

Even i find the same issue. Theya are thumbnail size. Anyone on this?
What resolution do the caller images have? So i can start converting my photos.
In the TV Series "Knight Rider (2008)" the Xperia displayed the caller photo in full 800 x 480 but i guess that was just a trick for the TV show if you think the photos are to small...

Sharper images on contacts in favorites tab?

It seem some of the images I'm using for my contacts are very dimmish and low quality, yesterday when I had SPB MS installed (I hard reset my phone today) I edited my contacts in there and then they showed up awesome in Sense also.
So what can I do to fix this?
I get much better contact picture fidelity if i've linked them with facebook accounts. Any existing picture I had of that contact is replaced with their current facebook picture, is automatically updated and is much better quality.

Anyone have a fix for the htc hd2 outlook blurry pcitures?

ive had to flash my phone and it resync'd with outlook and all my contact pictures on htc hd2 (ALMOST 100 of them have pictures) are blurry..
is there a easy fix for this? or do i have to manually fix them all by searching my caller id pics on storage card?
Thanks for any help
Seconded. This is really annoying.
for high resolution pics of contacts, use iconsoft phone extension, and add the pics to the contacts from there...
Third for this! I just did it with the one at a time, took a while >_<

tnx mate, that was great info, but, the trial software will last few more days, and I need permanent solution.
It would be great if somebody cam make freeware simple app "add/edit picture contacts in high quality mode". app designed only for that one task.

[Q] Question about the best image quality for Contacts

So, I just bought the Epic.. Coming from HTC Pro 2... Syncing with my contacts from my Exchange 2007 server and Outlook 2007.
So, I have loaded up most of my contacts with photos using Outlook.. The issue is, they degrade the image to 72x72.. Looks horrible.. At one time or another, I used Photo Contacts Pro for Windows Mobile, and it made the image quality 300x300 which was much better,
So, now on the Epic, I want to start replacing some of the contact pictures I have.. What is the best way of going around that? If I use Oulook (which is the fastest method), it will degrade the picture to a blury/jaggy mess... If I use the contact settings on the Epic, I see I can load them from my Picassa... But what resolution/dpi will that be at?
Is there a better method?
Bonus question: Is there a way to backup all the links I make with my contacts (ie: linking each to Facebook), so when I put a new custom ROM on, I woun't lose all that work?
Thanks in advance for any help!
I would say the problem is def the limitations of outlook. I have noticed this happen to me before when syncing my contacts from outlook to any device I used iphone the biggest problem. Now using android I have google manage all my contacts because its effortless. Just type in your email and they are there. I will note though that you can set the images of your contacts from gmail contact page but they still do not seem to be quite as high quality as when I set them via the phone. But once they are set threw the phone the quality will remain high on the next device I sync them to.

S8+ Large Contact Photos

My S8+ arrives and will load from scratch. Im replacing my Note 4 running 6.0.1. I'm trying to get all high resolution/large contact photos.
Here are different ways I have done it in the past;
1. I use Microsoft Exchange 2016/Office 365 to sync my contacts which I beleive does not allow the transfer of full res contact photos.
2. I have created a folder with all my contacts in it. I can use Cheetah Sync tool to update my laptop folder with the phone and then go into each contact and add the photo. Its a clunky way and everytime I get a new phone, I have to manually go in and add everytime.
3. I can create in Gmail duplicate contacts with the photos already attached. I believe those will transfer to the phone as full res. And then LINK the contacts.
4. I used Sync.Me to pull photos from Facebook. The problem is none of those were high res. I purchased the license but maybe I did not have it confiigured correctly or perhaps Facebook shut down the ability to do it with high res photos
Has anything changed in Android 7.0 or on the S8+ to make this any easier or automatic? I dont plan to root the device.
Any suggestions greatly appreciated.
