I'm having this same problem. Anyone found a fix for it yet?

I was having this problem before. For me it was due to my apn settings. Check to see if you have a proxy set in your apn settings.
ie:
Name: T-mobile US
APN: epc.tmobile.com
Proxy: Not Set <-----make sure this is not set
Port: Not Set
Username: Not Set
Server: internet2.voicestream.com
MMSC: http://mms.msg.eng.t-mobile.com/mms/wapenc
MMS proxy: 216.155.165.050
MMS port: 8080
MCC: 310
MNC: 260
Authentication type: Not set
APN type: Not set
Hope this helps.

will this ensure that i can send and receive picture messaging?
doesnt work. any fix??
Try this work around. Make sure that your numbers in your contacts don't have any dashes in them so say 2065551234 instead of 206-555-1234 worked for me. Works now! Try it and let me know!

If you are running ICS on your Vibrant on SimpleMobile, the old settings do not seem to work. So if you use the settings for the Galaxy Nexus, it works.

This is the only way I was able to get ICS to work with all data with SimpleMobile.
Hope it helps anyone.
using their website settings work for me. too bad they throttle the 40$ plan to 14kbs

I found the PERFECT Internet and MMS Settings for HD2 Android Web2go!!!!

I've been trying for days to get this to work, I would get MMS to send but no internet and wont be able to download an MMS. I would be able to send an MMS but my number would come up as someone different. I haven't found a working config online for the Android Builds on MMS so I hope this helps everyone. it doesnt lift the 300kb limit, but I'm just freaking excited it works.
Go to Settings >> Wireless & Networks >> Mobile Networks >> Access Point Names >> then create a new APN with these settings
Name: T-Mobile
APN: internet2.voicestream.com
Proxy: 216.165.155.050
Port: 8080
Username: not set
Password: not set
Server: internet2.voicestream.com

MMS Port: 8080
MMS Protocol: Wap 2.0
MCC: 310
MNC: 260
Authentication Type: None
APN type: not set
I hope this helps anyone that has been trying to use web2go on there HD2 Android builds!!! And I also hope this isn't a repost because I'd be highly upset because I couldnt find the configuration anywhere! Enjoy and please let me know if it works for you guys!

I am using the settings quoted. and i have their unlimited Data Plan. I have full Internet, Texting, and calling. But no PICTURE messaging. Thanks!
wow, I owe you a lunch for these. I can't believe I didn't try using the internet2 server for the mms server before. Thanks so much!!! I removed the proxy and it still works! I received the mms in about 4 seconds. Nothing else has worked and I've tried for hours and hours and almost gave up.
okay, only half working. I can send fast now, but can't receive anymore. It worked once then dead. I'll keep trying, but at least I'm closer.
Here's a more complicated, but maybe more effective method. I figured it out after trying several other methods to lesser and greater extents. This works for me but it may not work for you.

Wait at least a minute. I'm using Handcent. You should see your connection disappear when you try to send as it switches over to epc.tmobile.com from internet2. I am getting 3-8 second sends at 100kb with similar receive times.
I think the trick is to do this and wait about 2-3 minutes. At first I had problems with the browser. It told me that I needed to upgrade to get internet access. But after about 3 minutes it started working.
let's see. trying again...
picture sent in 8 seconds
received in 5 seconds. 83kb
world of frustration is over for now

glad it worked for you. I'm still only getting success about 60% of the time, but it's the best I've had.

[Q] Problem with sending MMS

I have used multiple Android builds and have used Desire, Froyo, etc. and with every build (currently using DarkStone's 2.2 build), I have had problems sending and receiving MMS messages. I cannot send nor receive them at all. I receive network errors every attempt, no matter the build, no matter if I update the zImage. Has anyone else had this problem or might know of a solution?

Are you able to access the net? It may be your APN/DNS settings, etc.
Yes, I am able to access the net. Everything in the build seems to run pretty smoothly, except for sending/receiving MMS.

Check in your APN and what's there for you MMS?
Everything should be explained here:

what are DNS SETTINGS, how do you change them (to what) and why? I seem to have sporadic success with mms. if these settings can make my transmissions reliable i would greatly appreciate it.

They are listed in your build.prop file: using a file explorer go to system/build.prop change dns settings. As a default they are set to google's and some carriers do not recongnize.

Sorry about that, there is nothing that needs to "match" between the two...I was wrongly pointing to the match of my settings for both.

T-Mobile US APN Settings for MMS

I have found about 20 different posts that all list different APN settings for T-Mobile US. Does anyone know what they should be for sure? Please only post if you are able to SEND MMS. I seem to be able to receive MMS, but can never send MMS. I have gotten it to work a couple times on some builds but the same settings don't seem to work on other builds.
Posting the settings is great but if you have a backup file from "APN Backup and Restore" that would be even more convenient.
Thanks
I fought with this same problem for a while, trying every setting i found in all the threads. One way i finally found that allowed me to send and recieve was to make 2 APN's, one with the standard epc.tmobile.com and nothing else, and another named t-mobile mms with the following settings:
APN: T-Mobile MMS
Proxy: None
Port: None
Username :none
Password: none
Server: none
MMSC: http://mms.msg.eng.t-mobile.com/mms.wapenc
MMS Proxy: 216.155.165.050
MMS port: 8080
MCC: 310
MNC: 260
I got the idea for using multiple APN's when i looked at my girlfriend's my touch slide's settings. Hope that helps!
Thanks. I'll give that a try and let you know how it goes. I read once that there are different settings for PPP and RMNET. I wonder if that's why I was able to get it to work on some builds and not others.

Thanks for these settings that u shared. This was the only APN that worked for my friend to get mms on tmobile prepaid with an AT&T Xperia Play 4g. They only get 2g/Edge, but I feel they even got an increase in speed from the "telekila"APN that was on the phone even if its small increase within 2g. Thanks everyone.
What are the correct apn settings for T-Mobile prepaid? Speedtest.net is reporting my location WAY off and pings are through the roof even though data speeds are just fine.

APN Settings for AT&T?

First off, I have a Desire Z (Bell Version) that I have rooted with stable version of CM 7.03.
I have been problems sending MMSes for a while now. I've looked up the various settings listed all over the Internet, but nothing has worked. I've tinkered and I rebooted the phone everytime I changed the APN settings.
Here's what's on my phone currently (this is after doing much tinkering from the various settings I've found on the Internet):
Name: AT&T
APN: wap.cingular
Proxy: Not Set
Port: 80
Username: [email protected]
Password: CINGULAR1
Server: Not Set
MMSC: http://mmsc.cingular.com
MMS Proxy: 69.209.11.32
MMS Port: 8080
MCC: 310
MNC: 410
Authentication Type: PAP or CHAP
APN Type: default,supl,mms
Now after deleting this APN and resetting to default, this is what I have:
Name: ATT
APN: wap.cingular
Proxy: Not Set
Port: Not Set
Username: [email protected]
Password: Not Set
Server: Not Set
MMSC: http://mmsc.cingular.com
MMS Proxy: wireless.cingular.com
MMS Port: 80
MCC: 310
MNC: 410
Authentication Type: Not Set
APN Type: default,supl,mms
After going to the default settings, I still can't send MMSes and it's driving me nuts.
Anybody have any ideas?
EDIT: Just noticed there's version 7.1 out. Anybody notice that MMS works between the version I have and this latest stable one?
