I was thinking and would make it easier for people to find stuff if there were subforums development.. like one for roms.. and 1 for kernels.. just throwing it out there since I don't have internet at home and takes forever on this app to go through everything.. wish I had a better signal than 1 bar or less at home to tether..
Edit: instead of just a Rom it kernel.. could be 1 for 2.1 and a separate 1 for 2.2 roms.

Have a look at our wiki that is stickied to the top of every section. Everything is well organized and lots of great info all over it. No need for more sub forums when we have such great wiki contributors
Thanks toast. But I went to the sticky and it says thread deleted.. sends me to a webpage from tapatalk to the internet.. can't find it. ill have to look at my brothers computer tomorrow..

Please don't start opening these types of threads in the Development section. If there were ROMs available, you would see a post for it in this section. We do not need to clog up the forum before we even get started. This should be asked in the general section as it has NOTHING to do with development. Just don't want this forum clogged with posts that are not real ROMs or development and make people (like me) click into forums that are not worth it.
you can report the threads to the mod w the triangle button on the top right so they can move it to the General forum.
At least thats what they had us doing in the G1 forum for a while.

Awesome. I did not know that. I wrote that from the mobile app which does not have that option (maybe a future feature) but will def keep that in mind in the future.

I am EAGERLY awaiting CM6 for Glacier. Sense has some neat features but in general it bugs me. With a clean version of Android plus Cyanogen's customization options this phone will be exactly what I want.

So I am one for organization when it comes to the Internet.
And I just thought to create seperate forums, one being for 2.1 roms and the second for 2.2 roms.
This would clear up the forums seeing that they are clustered with both rom types, also it would allow questions, ideas for development, or etc to be discussed.
Any Input?
Once froyo hits, we won't see anymore 2.1 roms. I doubt the mods would take the time to sort the threads out.

Q/A would be outstanding
And I do use the wiki, and that is a very useful tool, however when looking through the forums it can be confusing at times.
Im thinking about starting a new thread in development section. With every ROM KERNEL and MODEM. All always up to date. Im on xda everyday, so wouldnt be hard. I will update everyday when I get home from work. And try to make it well organized. Does anyone support this? Or should I not?

I wish you would do this in the Wiki instead. And by doing that you could also get help because anyone could update the wiki. I tried but it takes alot of effort and time is limited.

Been away for a while, have not modded my note, and feel like there must be some lovelyness I can flash or boot onto it!
What's the best rom out there for me at the moment?
I like oem feel on my phone, and have the freedom to change the little bits myself.
So something for function, not pretty signs etc, lol.

Common mate, check development section and flash the rom of your liking. Don't be lazy ;-). We already have zillions of thread of'what is the best ROM ', JUST search.

No, a simple Google search would have saved the good people of the mytouch 4g at xda the pain of having to see this redundant thread, search and read. READ I cannot stress that enough seeing as how you refer to rooting, and modifying as ”Hacks"

3. there are plenty of ICS ROMs being developed for this phone. built straight from AOKP source, AOSP source, ports, Sense based, MIUI based..
