Anyone knows where can I get the Froyo-compatible (CM 6 RC1) HTC Live Wallpaper for Slide? I've tried using what CR included in his modded OTA but it didn't work on Froyo.
Thanks!
I installed CM 6 RC1 yesterday and it has live wallpaper built into it. One was set as the default. Do you not have the feature, or are you looking for different ones to download?
Oh, there are live wallpapers in it, but I want a specific one -- HTC Live Wallpaper. It is similar on colours to the sense rom wallpapers.

Hi,
Ive had a look around but cant seem to find what Im looking for. Has anyone seen a dark theme for HTC apps - basically where the colous are inverted in apps like google talk / email / messaging - was thinking this could save quite a lot of power especially for IM apps. A lot of apps like newsrob are already including this feature but built-in apps obviously arent as easy to update so am looking for a theme.
Hi,
there is a theme called DarKedge Ui which theme all the apps and messaging but not yet ported tohtc desire...still waiting !!! did you found something concerning your request ??
Darkedge is for stock roms only not for HTC Sense roms. The apps are totally different.
Sense is White on Black so there is no more Option to save Battery. DarkedgeUI is for standart Android to convert your theme from Black on White to White on Black ....
Do you think then it is possible to bring the Darkedge theme to htc sense roms ?

I searched through pages in development but couldn't find anything on it is there a way to make the picture widget to work on CM7?
No htc widgets will work on cm7. They rely on the sense frameworks.
You cant even use the sense widgets on stock rom if you use a different launcher.
Thanks, any widgets similar to the one i am looking for that can be doeloaded from market where you can swype to change pictures
Not that im aware of, if i use one at all, its the stock one that only lets you pick one picture.
Hi,
first of all, sorry for my bad english, it's not my native language
On to my problem:
I'm using RaduGs Tasty Ginger 2.0 and managed to install live wallpaper support.
I installed different wallpapers but when selecting one, they don't give a preview. When choosing one, there's only a black background on my homescreen.
When going back to wallpaper selection, choosing one and then FIRST hit settings, then just go back, i do get a preview!
When i now try to set this wallpaper as the standard one, i'm back on a black homescreen.
This happens with all ROMs i recently installed (radug, elelinux, cronos), but only with lw using opengl.
i tried for example "multipicture live wallpaper" or "Maps Live Wallpaper", they do work.
When choosing "Wave Live Wallpaper" or "Original Flurry Live Wallpaper", they don't work, only as described above.
Is there a workaround?

The Hero doesn't have 3D support so a lot of the live wallpapers you find on the market won't work on it and will result in a black homescreen. And I believe most ROMs use old OpenGL libraries.
To be honest it's not worth installing them anyway, they are very slow on the Hero, and even if they run smooth it brings the rest of the phone to a halt. Not to mention the battery drain.

I know, but the mentioned Wallpaper do work, but only after hitting settings an just press the back-button. only when applied as wallpaper, there's a black homescreen.
If i'm not completely wrong, RaduG uses v1.1 of opengl, so it's up to date, isn't it?

You're right, the g2 is too slow for some of these wallpapers, it's only to play around a bit
But i'm willing to get a htc desire or samsung galaxy s gt-i9000. i'd only wanted to know, if someone else can confirm this to figure out if it's a hero or a gingerbread and froyo thing.

Please let me know if you get this wallpaper to work on here. I been trying to find this as well
My Tab is Unrooted, anyway this can be installed like any other live wallpaper ?
Pete
Anyone Find anything ?
What would cause it to not run on our tablets and on phones ?
that's a big negative here. apk wouldn't install and the update didn't seem to do anything on my EOS ICS rom.
Ok so here's the deal for about a month now "have had the phone for about 4"any live wallpapers I apply besides stock ones (galaxy, sense, grass, nexus,) lag my home screen pretty bad and its across any rom, (mikshift, cm7, shift deck,) I just don't get it maybe someone else has noticed this?
