How do you enable video chat using front facing camera on fring. I selected it on the settings tab but no video chatting.
i just tested this for you. As soon i click on video chat in fring it starts up with the front camera. I did not change any settings or did not had to do anything special.
Ill check more and get back to you.
I've looked at the 'how to' video to help with the setup of Fring.
I've got to be honest it looked so bloody complicated that I just unistalled Fring.
Bit of a shame as I have just resurected my MSN account to vid chat with my brother but it says it isn't supported anyway....
Yes I figured it out. You had to add someone in your buddy list to activate the camera. Thanks for your help.

A friend of mine showed this today to me, it is a chat multinetwork client, it works with Skype, Yahoo and many other networks and it is FREE also. and it works trough ear speaker too

Did Fring always support Skype!?!? I remember testing Fring a while ago and I'm almost certain it didn't support Skype back then... but I might be wrong!

I've watched some hd2 videos on youtube, about feautures and that...and there are contact photos on email tab. There is sender's email and next to that his face.
Well, I don't have any photo here, only after tapping email and opening it with outlook, I see photo of the sender.
Is there any option to toggle that photo on or off, is this only in some roms, or why I don't have this?

Did you try to add any contacts in the people tab?
Once you tap "Add fav.", you can select any contact from the popup.
If you added pictures to your contacts, you will see them, too.
The most of my contact's have photo attacked.
It works when they call me, it works with sms and mms, it works if email is opened with outlook, it works on people tab...everything works...only on email tab I don't have photo...
But I can't find any info if this is an added feature in new roms or is in every rom and it just doesn't work for me...?
Not seen it on any rom i've tried. But then the email tab is only a preview, it hasn't 'opened' the email.

But what we see is windows mobile running...I am sure this exist...maybe just not in official released roms if nobody knows about it...

Thats exactly what i as thinking. IF ONLY someone was able to make those sounds work. Is it possible?
I'm trying to enable the video chat and it takes you to a age to net your ozone number to receive a SMS message to confirm your phone. I've don't this with the +1 and my number and just my a code and number. Either way, no SMS to confirm. Any news on this? Thanks in advance.
I was having this issue but I emailed support with my phone number and username and they fixed the issue.

Works pretty good. I tried it with my wife and it's great. Fring does the same thing but I find Qik to be better since myncall always dropped with Fring and the audio was always distorted.

How do you send a video my MMS with an HTC Hero. Today, I tried to send a video by picture message and was told it was too large to MMS. Is there a setting on the HTC Hero to make sendable videos or is there an app for this? I am new to the Hero and Android.

If you record with the camera, from the messages app.
"Attach --> Video" or something like that.
Think that should do the trick.

It's been said it's a dev release. That it's been disabled for certain purposes. Please avoid making new thread's and read the feedback.
A patched Skype for SGS is now available with video chat, look it up in the forums
