Hey guys,
I've put Android on my HD2 and it works great. Except, whenever I make a phone call i cannot hear the other person and they cannot hear me.
I thought it may be due to the Radio ROM and was going to flash another to try and fix it but Data works fine? The web works great on it so surely the radio must be okay?
I'm using:
HSPL3
EnergyROM by NRGZ28
Leo_RADIO_2.12.50.02_2
Desire V5 Froyostone
Sound works okay in general, when i dial numbers the speaker works, just on calls. SMS works okay
Even though i'm having a slight niggle i would like to also use this thread to thank everyone here for their hard work on porting Android to HD2
I got to ask BUT are you running the CLRCAD program beofer you run Haret to boot into android?

The WinMo build i've flashed loads to a home screen with a Launch Android button, I assumed it was scripted to run CLRCAD first, but i'm not sure?
I'll restart the device back into WinMo and see if i can manually launch Android rather than the button on the cooked rom
***Additional Info***
I restarted the device and forgot to remove the memory card so booted straight to Android and hey presto, sound works great
I think on first boot it must not launch CLRCAD but after that it does. I feel a bit n00bish now haha but thanks
Try other build of win mobile Rom, i have same problem when I using energy Rom

how did you get the sound to work...i have the same problem...everything works for me but when i try to make calls...the sound buttons work...just can't hear a person when i call or they can't hear me either...i have the 2.10.50.26 radio...and my rom is the 2.13.531.1......and i did run the clrcad first then the haret file...but nothing...any help would be appreciated.....thank you..

I used the 2.12 radio, I boot without SD card into nrg Rom, used file explorer to locate Android folder on card (put back in at this point) and start. Those files then it works

My sons phone was doing this, he had Energy Rom Reference and had sound issues, flashed Titanium and all has been good, didnt change his radio, using a .50 one, didnt recopy the Android folder, simply wiped the phone and flashed.

I may flash winmo to titanium but keep radio and Android version the same

Am using Energy base WM rom and mattc 1.5 Android. Everything was working perfectly until now the sound AND mic have gone completely, even with the headphones in. Am using radio 2.12.50.02. Is there a more 'compatible' one.
Seems a strange bug to have so wondered if anyone had this issue.

Thanks for the quick reply. Becuase I am using Eneregy base ROM which is built for Android, it automatically boots the files from the SD card. So I am assuming it knows to run CLRAD first.

i would say try another rom like elagancia and do it manually. but if not wait and see if anyone else has the same problem and maybe they can help better
Do you think it's likely the problem is around CLRAD not being executed properly/at all?
I have problems with andriod on my htc hd 2......
after i have run the haret.exe after about a minute the screen goes black...
i am using a desirebuild v5....

go back and read the guides again...check the radio..u should use radio version >2.08.50
search is your friend. and this is your first post? just sell your HD2 now.
also, post questions in general. and dont create a new thread in here.... if you absolutely have to ask a question in development then post it in the right thread, dont start your own.

How long did you wait for android to boot up? Normally it would take about 5 to 15 minutes.

Plus, you could also try installing a different build, as desire V5 is quite dated now, you should be able to find something that is quicker and/or more stable.

Phone issue
I downloaded the 09/20/10 Desire build beta 2 by Darkstone and everything works great on it except for the phone feature. After I install and boot the phone up android loads up and all the other features like the camera,video,market place and apps work fine but when I make a call I get the robo voice on the first call but after that I get no sound at all on any outgoing or incoming calls and the phone wont play any ringtones when I get an incoming call not even the default ones. I tried to run the HSPL3.PKG file but when I run the HSPL3.exe file I get a message that says "This application has failed to start because RAPI.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem". If anyone can help me figure this issue out I would really appriciate it.
hspl3 is required to flash a radio. your phone not working is probably an issue with an incompatible radio. hsplpkg is an executable for windows. run that while you have an adtivesync connection via usb. After hspl download and flash radio 2.08-2.14. I suggest radio 2.14. Also do a lot more reading and less posting.

I just installed Android 2.2 on my HD2 LEO, running it from the SD card.
AMAZING work for you who have built this.
The Android works better than the original windows mobile...
But if i have to turn off the phone, and the HD2 boots into it`s"normal" Windows 6.5, i guess i loose all settings in Android...? I haven`t turned the phone off, yet, because "why should i" ??
If i do loose power, is there any way to make a backup image that keeps all my settings, so i just load the image after Android boots up again?
Something similar to Norton Ghost in the PC world.
Any suggestions, anyone?

Android settings are saved in the data file. If you reboot, just run Haret again and your settings will still be there.

When i reboot my phone (power off and on) the Win MO 6.5 appears.
WHen i then try to run Haret og CLRCAD, it doesn`t work.
I have to hard reset my phone and then run HARET.
Any way to fix this so i at least don`t have to hard reset the phone every time i loose power ?
You shouldn't have to hard reset. You should just have to run clrcad and then haret. What exactly happens when you run it?

I got an error message about some "trusted signer" of some kind, but i restarted the phone yesterday, ran clrcad and haret, and now it works fine.
Don`t know what happened, but it seems to work now.
I got my HD2 in march this year, and last sunday I installed Android. For the first time i`m satisfied with my phone.

his bootloder is 2.12 or 2.13(i am not sure)
and Energy Rom (which version i dont know)..
i have downloaded the "Mattcfroyo 1.5 Android 2.2 with sense"
i just want to sure that can i directly copy past the mattcfroyo into sd card and try to boot into android
or i need to flash spl and Rom again??
will android works on energy rom?? and 2.12 or 2.13 bootloder(what every it is i am not sure)..
or i try to boot directly and if something goes wrong than my phone will bricked or not (or i can again boot into windows by removing battery and insert it again)..

If your running an energy rom just copy the android folder to your memory card and go.
Its begun. TMobile is starting to enforce tethering plans. I know you werent tethering but its got something to do with that.

if there is problem of booting android (if it hang ) at that time if i remove battery and insert it again than can i boot into windows again???

No one reads...I swear they don't. YES, copy the folder to the root of your SD card, YES if you don't like Android or it funks up just soft-reset and YES it works with ANY SPL.

Ive tried so many android builds some times when i run it the little android white letters appear as it should but there shrunk and appear at the left top cornerof my phon ive only been able to run it twice and android worked bt after a reboot it went back to the htc screen for hours and never was able to get it started pls someone pls help me ive been trying to slove this proble for weeks bt haven't been able to solve it please some help me!
format your sd card then try again. or flash different rom like chuckydroid or vbnrom.

energy rom is just fine, try 2.12.50.xxx radio, donwload the android build you want and unzip to desktop on pc, grab android folder and place on root of your sd...... you cant always use the android bootloader on this WM rom unless you edit the startup on android build...... on WM go to start>tools>file explorer> make sure keypads lights are on and hit CLRCAD first, then hit HARET and just let it go all the way, some builds take longer on first boot cuz data.img is being created so wait bout 5-10-15 min ........ dont forget to turn off auto backlights on WM before doing all this.. good luck...
Maybe a change back to HSPL2 would help..
Do you happen do have extended battery?

ok, start all over again.... download and do task29, reinstall your energy rom upgrade radio again, apply settings i gave you and try to boot again..... let me know how it goes
What type of sd card are you using, try a different sd card... That eliminates the sd card as the culprit.
I have the original 16gb sd card that comes with the phon and im sure its not corrupted bcuz it works great
can u explain a little better what kenel and linux is or if i hve to update tha too i really dont undestand what that really is?

Hey Ill be installing android soon when I get back my phone from warranty, and I dont know what auto backlights are(my motherlanguage isnt english) and how to turn them off?

This is what i did
I flashed the newest hard spl i think it is number 3.0 and changed the radio to 2.12.50 and after i put energy rom on it what will upgrade my ram to 570 or something. I am very happy with that rom very fast and stable. Now im using FroyoStone Sense - V3.2][Kernel: linux_on_wince_htc 2.6.32.15] from darkstone.
Im sorry for all the winmo 6.5 hardcore users. I tweaked and played with it for a time now. But now im using froyo from my sd card (very fast and stable) I want nothing else. I hope there will be a rom soon so i can cook a android rom on my hd2 leo. I think the biggest reason for me is the amount of good quality apps.
