I called and made a ruckus about signing up a year ago for an evo knowing I can upgrade a year later. Retentions gave it back to me so I am still debating getting the 3d.

I'd assume there is no EVO trade-in credit if you go this route.

I wonder how long it would take to mail the 3d to your house if you go that route. I'll just hold on to my BB preorder......and keep my Evo4G for a backup.

How do we go about doing this? Do we need to order online? If so, when can we order?

We order online or call them and order it. I'm already set up. Even though I'm the low tier premier member I still get my full upgrade until the end of the month. I had to call CS and go into the store just to make sure and yes, I will be paying only 199 even though my full upgrade isn't till next year. Woot!

Strange, you waited a month and received the 003 HW version. I ordered mine 2 days after it came out (arrived next day) and it was HW 003... (still have it BTW, just had the screen replaced and that's it)

Same here. Got it on launch day and it is 003. Haven't had any issues with it either. It lasted the full year with no bricks, issues, etc.
Oh, there was one time when they had to replace the internal speaker, but, that was a long time ago...

How far out did you get your evo3d upgrade reset?

Anyone who has got an early upgrade please post how much earlier than what you were supposed to get. also state from the 1 or 2 year mark.

I was due June 1st for the for the $75. They bumped it for the full upgrade on both lines for that date.
And a mod will probably move this :/

My friend was due August 2012 he got his reset to evo 3D launch date LOL. Gotta know how to work your magic...or just do like me and sleep with 11 old women for 50 bucks each or one really fat one for 550.

I bought my phone on 7/31/10. After the Silver/Gold change, my full upgrade was in spring of 2012. I called and they moved me to full upgrade effective 6/1/11.

Mines was due June 2012. Third line of a family plan. Got it reset to June 2011. I haven't used it yet. Probably for the nexus 3/prime or sgs2. I used my airave line to get my 3vo.

What do you say to them to reset your upgrade date. I have spoken to them and they told me $75 and mine is up 7/4/12 . What can I say to change this date to now ?

I called on Saturday, my 150 was not going to come until November, after 5 minutes of waiting, the csr came back on and said you'll be set in 24-48 hours, when i check last night I was good to go. Going to Radio Shack to trade this one in for the 3d, should cost me about 60 dollars after trade in.

My wife called and complained about our Samsung Moments this morning, we still had 190 days left to $150... upgrade amounts were updated in less than 1 hour. Went to the Sprint store after we got the update texts and got $99 EVO x 2. Very happy!

What number did you guys call to get this changed? I believe mine is due in August but I'm not sure and previously I had a $150 upgrade until it was changed to $75. I'm not so sure about the Evo 3D but I would love to get a Sprint version of the Galaxy S II

Resets are no longer done due to the Evo3D so if you still get it, consider yourself lucky.

You can try the number located in this thread. That's the one I used. Like the above poster said tho, they probably aren't gonna do it anymore. Still, it couldn't hurt to call.

The number still works. They said I had to speak to the manager and he got on talking about a 75 dollar upgrade for the one yr so I started complaining so he said he would pit in to reset my contract and it should be done in 24 hours. Sweeeeeeeeet thanks guys.

When I called, I was told that if you were eligible for the full upgrade (hit your 1 year mark) and then they took it away from with the silver/gold break that they would give it back to you. I'm guessing that if your 1 year mark is anything after the 3D launch that you are probably SOL. So I hope you got your Evo on launch day, otherwise enjoy this forum for another 10+ months.

sold out in less than 20 Minutes

well, every half hour here in Australia I was refreshing the nex4 16gb store page, every half hour didnt really seem to be enough, because the 16gb version was sold out here in less than 20 minutes. what its going to be like for the rest of you guys, im not sure.
also for anyone that was relying on the email going out to notify you that its availabe, dont, I never got one!
just some info there for you guys.

Was lucky enough to pick up a 16GB Nexus 4
Checked my phone at 12.03pm Adelaide Time or 12.33pm Sydney time and saw the "Add to Cart"
Now just gotta wait for it to get shipped. ^^

I am in Melbourne Australia, I doubt the nexus 4 sold out. Here is what I think happened:
Someoen made them available too early for us AUstralians by mistake and went 'woops' later and put it back to coming soon.
This could well be true because:
1. 12:15 PM for available release time is weird
2. Not a lot of Australians know about the nexus 4 as most Australians are iSheeps and they wouldn't know about this availability on november 13th unless they were reading android news.
3. And with not that much people knowing about it, and just in general tit would be impossible for them to run out of stock in less than half an hour, even the iphones which is marketed profesionally isnt even able to do that (get sold out in less than 30 mins)
4. Many people have called google and they have said that there will be no seperate times, 12 AM PST
5. 1 more hour and 15 minutes until 12 AM PST guys lets keep our hopes up

But the 8GB version was available for a longer period of time. If what you assume is true, they would have fixed all accidents at once...

Then how did Sparky_boi order one genius, you were too slow, I gotta wait until next month to ship it from States via a relative and wanna make sure it comes with a case and screen protector so its gonna be a LOOONG wait

I tried to order N4 and N10 and added them to my cart and tried to checkout but google just gave me an error and deleted my cart.
After repeating the precedure 5 times the devices eventually got sold out.

Any word ontwhen the next batch will be released, or even guesses?

I am in the same boat. I don't have my own credit card (Use paypal for everything) and was getting the info sent to me at 11:50, which was SUPPOSED to be before the sale. Someone jumped the gun *cough*Google*cough*
Saw the sale start, I had a 16GB N4 in my cart, at the final order process, but couldn't fill out CC info and watched them all sell before my eyes. It has been a sad day.
Oh well, best we can do now is wait it out and see when they start stocking more. I am curious to see how people review it once they start getting it tomorrow, and am looking to see if battery life meets Optimus G levels. Also this gives us time to buy accessories / wait for more to come out (Anyone else hoping for an OTG Micro SD integrated case)

I couldn't buy an N4 this morning. I have my GNex listed on ebay, sale is ending any second now. Maybe I should cancel it. Pretty frustrating.

Gonna look at trying again. Don't know why but I've not been getting any luck with the website.

Won't have my PayPal funds or debit card until Friday... so I had no real chance at even trying for a Nexus 4 today :/ No telling when Google will get more stock though...
Might even consider getting a Nexus 10 almost, I'm $6 short of funds in my PayPal though But I'll figure out what to even do when Friday comes along...

By restocking do you mean the 'restocking fee'.
The only reason why I am waiting for the phone is because of the restocking fee.
As soon as it goes away, I will order the nexus 4. I cant risk that might make me pay $50.
I think it will go away in 2 weeks. If it goes away in a week or this friday, it will be the best thing.

The restocking fee is part of their standard policy, and it applies to all the devices that google sells, provided you don't live in the EU or Australia. If you're in the US, its not going away.

Wait, what? The restocking fee is applied to opened and returned that aren't defective. It's nominally a charge for the repackaging they have to do. It has nothing to do with them having the phone in stock or not.

least I have time to buy a qi wireless charger and hopefully find a case that isn't the crappy bumber

I wanted to by one in the morning but arrived at work at 8.50 am and all N4s were already sold out. Bummer. Maybe it was a sign I got anyway already scared after all the bad benchmarks and the thermal throttling. I bought now the HTC OneX+ for 199 bucks and it has Jellybean. At least I have LTE and it will work fine. Still have my GNex to play with 4.2.

Restocking may take couple of days if those internet rumours are to be believed btw just don't kill yourself in the mean time !

Just sit tight for a few weeks. They will have more soon

The Nexus 4 is supposed to become available from the Play Store again at 12PM Pacific Time. I'm planning on ordering one once it's in stock. I'm guessing the prices will stay the same (Why would they change?). Who else is planning on ordering one?

I think I will be purchasing another. I want to return mine to T-Mobile since I bought it $499 off contract, plus tax. Everything amounted to about $543 - so I'll be saving a good chunk of money purchasing the Nexus 4 through Google.

I'm debating it - 8GB is bullspit. I would like to take my chances and getting a 16GB. It's honestly not thaaaat huge a deal though.

Getting one and putting it on the $30 T-mobile plan. Gonna mess around with it and probably resell it or trade it for a yellow lumia 920

I think there will be enough. The N4 sold out fast on Nov. 13 but by now the hype has calmed down.

In order to get the N4 you might have to move to Firefox from Chrome for the next half hour. I know on Firefox there is an add-on/widget that reloads any page you want every 5 seconds. Just keep the Firefox window with the Nexus 4 Play Store page open and see-able so once the device is available, you'll be one of the first to see it and be able to order the N4. I might think of doing that lol.

are you talking about the checkout erroring out? i think that was because of the mad rush to buy the phone the first time. servers couldnt handle it or something. hopefully it's not as crazy this time around.

Yes. The problems only happened because so many people were rushing to buy the device and the servers crashed or something like that. This time I don't think there will be that big of a rush to buy the N4.

For me it was 5 business days. I got shipping notification on Monday evening, UPS got it on Tuesday morning, and I got it 7 hours later that same morning.

I was thinking about ordering, to resell my current 8gb and snag a 16gb, but 1) 8gb is enough for me and 2) I think the resell market is going to tank once this second batch comes out and supply meets demand.
