HTC Toch HD Doesn,t RIng not even SMS tone
Don,t know why this problem comes.
After the restart of the phone it will work for sometime, than again the problem comes.
Not even the sms tones work.

is it only ring and sms notifications or all audio ?

What ROM are you using? Official or cooked? Has it always done this? When did it start? What has changed since that point?

ROm Ver:- 1.18.707.3 (23358) WWE (Official)
I purchase this phone i month before and am facing this problem first ime on 2 days back.
I installed one theme but that didn,t work. so i want to remove the from add and remove programms. But i can,t. It didn,t remove.

I got exactly the same problem - other audio works e.g. music and talking on the phone - it's just notification sounds that don't work - any ideas?

Make sure that both the ringer and system tabs in volume have a value other than silent or vibrate.
Make sure to have actual sounds binded to event, go to Start, Settings, Personal, Sounds & Notifications, Enable sounds for both events and programs, then go to the notifications tab and check assigned sounds.
Please report back!

Moreover, if you can perform the official upgrade to the latest stock ROM through HTC's website. It's definately worth it ...

As i already said above rings and Smstones are working fine. But for Some time only. May be for 1 or 2 hours after restart of phone.
But after that somene calls me or Message, the Phone doesn,t ring. And the Sound notification shows that sound are enabled both System and Ring.
than I have to restart the Phone Again than it will work again for 1 or 2 hours, and problem contiues again

If you are running the WWE ROM then you aren't using an Indian ROM anyway
There are links in the Wiki for the official WWE roms:

If you need help flashing them read the guide in my signature. I would also highly suggest at least flashing the official updates, if not a good custom ROM.

I would suggest posing that question in that particular forum then. Another thing- depending on what you are trying to "theme" you would need to install SDKCERTS.cab. Have you ever done this?

No i didn,t try the SDKCERTS.cab
But i install some themes with .cab ext and some with .theme
None of theme work.
I also tried to install the themes via tf3d.config.
But no success. Don,t know which themes are for my ROM ver

I had the same issue 2day.
What worked for me is switching ringtone.
Even switching back to the one I had afterwards worked.

You didnt do any research before posting this did you? your answer is NOT YET. Theres threads all over the place talking about this.

When people talk about flashing from NAND this is what they are talking about. Avoiding WinMo all together. On the first page you will see a post about it, and if you search you will find hundreds.

Usually, that problem has to do with your radio. Flash another radio. I've never had that problem with 2.12.50.02, or the new 2.14.50.04
And can you guys stick to the Android General forum or the thread that pertains to whatever build you're using. Don't start a whole new thread.

That is probably your ROM, I had that when I first bought my HD2. Flashed a android compatible ROM and it went away.

I had the same problem until change my ROM to "Duttys creme de la creme"!
The stock ROM is terrible! A lot of bugs!

What rom and radio are u using??

Maybe you should read more. You have to actually do a bit more than just put the files on the SD card.

ROM version: 1.72.206.3 (86372) WWE
Radio version: 2.07.51.22_2
I tried to put a new radio on, but to be honest it was a failure lol

Instructions:
- Extract the Android folder (with all files in in) to root of your SD Card. THIS IS IMPORTANT.
- After copying everything to your SD Card ensure you have at least 1200 Mb free space for data store.
- Go into Android folder(using your phone) and tap CLRCAD (for working sound), and after that just tap HaRET.
- On first run when there is “Creating a new datastore” just give it time to complete, and on first boot be patient and give it time to load everything.

Thank you, but ive read these numerous times. you have to understand i am an absolute noob at all of this. haha
my particular problem is that the android rom starts to load up and i get the tiny text on the top left hand corner of the screen, then it slowly fades away... and nothing.. its extremely frustrating! haha

this is normal.. leave it running a bit longer (takes a few minutes for the first boot to create a data store.. then it should boot up

Correct me if im wrong but any radio that has 2.xx.51.xx_x
That .51 being the main problem for some reason. You need to put a radio that has .50 in it. For instance mine is 2.12.50.02_2
Note the .50 in it. You need to first flash hard spl using this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=611433. MAKE SURE YOU READ THE WHOLE POST BEFORE DOING ANYTHING. Once thats complete you have to flash a new radio, which is actualy pretty easy using this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=611787 and this custom ruu file http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=4798017&postcount=1
I know this probably all sounds like alot, but trust me my friend I was also a noob when I first did all this. This post is for the people who are from South Africa and don't understand why they cannot use their serial number for any of the stock ROM downloads on HTC's site.
I will try upload this ROM for all to use in the future however if you wish to obtain this ROM now then you can register at www leaf co za and download it.

I have no real issues with the radio reception. The changes between the radios have not been really noticeable for me. I'm also actually on MTN and am in the Sandton/Randburg area.

I see from your post you are using the new energy rom . will give this a try with your radio version and see if it fixes up my reception . have you tried any other of mdeejay's androids and which one do you think is best so far ? regards

I have tried a few of the MDJ builds as well as Darkstone's and I must admit I do like the current one I'm using (link in signature).
NRG is also currently updating his builds and they are uploading at the moment

I don't really send many mms's but I did send one the other day but can't remember which rom I was on at the time. Will have to try again, busy flashing the new 23148 now.

What issue did you have with mms's? I tried on the new build and could not resize the picture down to the 300k limit that mtn sets, but as I usually install the HTC Messaging client I tried with that and this automatically resizes the picture and sends the mms fine.

it would fail to send......i would receive the the mms notification to download and that would sit on 0% and eventually fail. maybe i should try the messaging client that you use.....i will let you know if it works. thanks.

Cooked ROM for South African HTC HD2
Hi guys,
I previously had an HTC HD which I loaded with an Energy rom with WM6.5
All worked perfectly.
I now procured a HTC HD2 which I loaded with another Energy rom specifically for the HD2. Result is, I can modify, customise to my hearts content but alas, whenever I make or receive a call the HD2 freezes up and the other person can not hear me and visa versa.
What roms & radios are you guys using successfully?

yes,that too happens alot of times (When receiving a call it hangs,have to pull the battery out).And also when it is idle,it simply restarts.

Am sure they are.!! It is that phone hangs alot of time,no matter what rom am using,

uninstall viber.apk and reboot your phone ...
this is a known issue with viber and voip call applications ..
and please report this bug to viber suport.

well i dont have any voip apps installed on my phone.i use just the stock apps that come in the rom and whatsapp,facebook messenger.

it is a problem with your apps
please uinistall viber , if you installes it,
and unisntall other voip apps like: whatsapp, tango and ...
but i know this is a bug on viber.apk ( and in some cases on tango )

Uninstalling whatsapp,will check it for a day. thankyou.

if problem remained, plz try windows phone 6.5 ...
and check it again ...
if all thing will be ok, this is an problem on software cases ( like radio rom, rom, viber , voip call apps, and other apps ) ...
if problem remaind this is a hadware issue ( but , no ... )
and after this test, you can go back to android ... ( suggest: NexusHD2 [4.2.2] v2.7 )

No, you don't need to revert to stock SPL to run WM. You can use WM on HSPL.
