Alarm is not working - HD2 Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting and Genera

I can not add alarm entry on my Android install. Is this an unkown issue?
Where should I report bugs?

Download app called zedge ringtones & wallpaper
search for alarm ringtones choose the ones you want and assign it to alarm

Done that but when adding an alarm entry nothing shows up whenI tap on "alarm sound". when I tap on "done" it does nothing.

1st: report in thread were you get the build
2nd: are always the same?

I didn't download it from a thread but a webpage http://gamesquare.co.uk. it alayys do it.

No go to zedge select downloads tab select Ringtones if you already downloaded some select one of the ringtones from your list that you want you will see a tab that says Set click it and choose alarm when you go to alarm clock you will be able to assign different ones

thanks a lot. it works

now that alarm works, but I can't/don't know how to stop it when it goes off.

Did you delete the HTC lockscreen? Have to delete the HTCWorldClock as well and install default clock or an alarm app from market...
...from the XDA app on my HD2

my install does not have any HTC software. it is a plain Froyo build. I have the default clock/alarm installed. But I am using LauncherPro though. I didn't see an option to stop the alarm.

I ran into that today I hit something on the screen that hid the dismiss button had to set another alarm for it to appear and turn it off

Have you set it again to see if something pops up ?
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA App

yes, just did. nothing pops up.

Just install an alarm app from market for now then since that build has no alarm dismiss

I installed the app Clocl+Alarm it solved the problem

+1 - I'm using Alarm Clock Plus v2 from Market. No problem dismissing alarms with it.

Motorola Droid X clock question

I have moved to the thunderbolt, but love the desk clock from the droidx with the ability to touch anywhere on the screen and snooze the alarm, but also able to clear the notification from the notification bar to cancel the alarm. Is there anyway to export this so it will work on the thunderbolt?

The Motorola clock relies on parts of blur to function, so I'm not sure it's possible to use on the Thunderbolt
Thanks I was hoping. I hate being asleep trying to find one small button to snooze the alarm

You could try though, use root explorer to copy the apk to your SD card, and then install it on your thunderbolt

Is there a way to change level on intensity of the htc hd2 vibration. I don't care about vibration style, but about the intensity on it. So if there is something that can be done please try it

I've been trying to figure out the same thing. The only solution i found was downloading the Handcent SMS app, and changing the vibration to "long" in the settings for the app. Hope this works! (On Android)

Notification priority

Hi fellow XDAers
I wonder if there is any app or mod that can make me choose what notifications should always show on top?
I have a weather app that shows the weather as a big notification (4x2 I believe). Problem is that whenever another notification pops up the weather notification gets pushed down and shown as a smaller version. I would like to choose the weather as prioritized so it always stays on top.
Thanks

I don't know of any mods or apps.
Try Xylon ROM, it has that very feature built in to it. Maybe other ROMs do as well. You can then find it under the ROM settings>> lockscreen.
*Edit *
Sorry. Misread your problem. Sorry, I don't know of any such mod or app. But it would be handy indeed.

Is there any way to get viper mod or lmt launcher to stay out of notification bar

Every time I restart the phone they come back and I go to app info and they are unchecked. So I have to check them on then off again..

You can install xposed framework and the notify clean module to get rid of them. That's what I use along with a lot of other people.
So I'm not doing anything wrong just have to use a work around app. Thanks

For LMT, you can also long press on the notification in the notification panel and select app info - when the LMT info page pops up, uncheck notifications or if it is not checked, check it and then uncheck it and you will get a popup saying you won't get notifications - click ok and close. You do have to do this everytime you reboot your device tho.
download 'notificationsoff' from the play store. icon is a green square with some lines in it...just in case u have issues finding it. lets u turn off notifications for any apps u chose whether they r user apps or system.
