I am going to root my phone soon, have a question.

What can't I uninstall when I root it? I saw that you can't uninstall virtual voicemail cause it is tied into the system, need to know the others.
What major things should I uninstall when I do root it?
I don't any of the bloatware applications at all.
I removed Visual Voicemail and haven't had any problems.

It all comes down to a matter of opinion and need. What do you personally use. Do a search and you'll find that some people have found that the bloatware for some things like the pre-loaded Slacker Radio and Layar may prompt you to pay. So if you want those, remove them and install the normal ones from the market to get the free versions. If you go to the top of the Vibrant General forum there is a Tips & Tricks thread started by s15274n. Search for the word Bloat. He links to a great topic on removing Bloatware where you can find tons of advice and peoples opinions on what they have removed.

[Q] Which app controls lockscreen media controls?

First things first.
I have a rooted sph-l720 galaxy s4 flashed to the ForceRom.
ForceRom is the stock S4's OS except with a ton of bloatware removed. Link here - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2261943
I would post there but I don't have 10 posts so I cannot post in a development forum.
The Problem arises is that when playing any media the media buttons at the bottom of the lock screen do not pop up.
I believe it was one of the bloatware that was removed but i would like to restore just that feature and needed help pinpointing what apk
it was so I can restore only that apk to gain the functionality back.
The reason I am so interested in trying to gain that functionality back is when I play Pandora and Bluetooth it to my car's stereo I would be able to skip songs using the stereo. Now that I am using thisrom, that functionality is gone. I believe it is the lock screen functionality that it relies on.
Any ideas what apk it was? There is a list of apk's removed in the link provided.
Thank you for any responses!!

Original stock CLOCK WIDGET apk for stock rooted lock screen [can't find ANYWHERE]

Searched all xda, also did a google search, only found deodexed on a google drive server and that one wouldn't install
I need a STOCK clock widget for G2. Uninstalled it via titanium without making a back up but now that I have a nasty plus sign and "add widgets here] on my lock screen I want it back
Tried some other widgets, but weather, soundhound, and nextradio look nasty on the lock screen
[and yes, I searched, closest thing I found was our clock widget modified for l9 and that didn't work either]

[Q] Disabling Auto Updates from AT&T

Just got my S5 rooted. Looks like Titanium changed a bit since I last used it to disable the auto push of software from ATT. Can someone verify which app I need to freeze? I believe it is AT&T Software update, but just need to verify. Don't need to go though what I had to last night.....
Thanks
You didn't say whether you meant firmware updates or updates of ATT apps in general. There are usually two system apps that deal with firmware. An OTA update. And a notification app. Verizon and ATT like to rename apps though. You posted your question in the general forum, rather than the ATT forum, so a lot of people here like myself don't use ATT. I have seen the ATT app names posted and if you do a search you will find them in existing threads.
Then freeze or rename the firmware update apps.
If you meant all ATT apps, updates are usually controlled by each app. So your options would be to look through the app's settings to disable updates or disabling the app completely. The only way to block all ATT apps from updating would be to restrict app permissions or use a firewall.

Super Secure s6 edge

hey guys there are soooo many different forums here and i dont have time to search out proper threads
i just need to know if its possible to make my phone much more secure by rooting or deleting apps. I dont like apps sharing my info or locations.
all i need or want is the camera, some kind of map navigating service preferably not google, alarm clock, calculator, talk and text for 99 % of my planned use
and maybe a secure browser for last 1%
i dont need email[samsung]s planner, music or video player, s health, galaxy appsfacebook or any other social media, samsung gear, smart wallet, microsoft apps, google apps, chrome, telus apps, or any other apps that share any of my info
do i just delete apps?
do i need to root first?
package disabler pro on google play if your not rooted is recommended get rid of the bloat.

can you recomend a google map replacement?
what about secure texting thats compatible with everyone elses stock text app?
sorry, I do not want to be rude, but
questions belong to the q/a forum, not here in general!
it is VERY impolite to ask such questions with the remark you "dont have time to search"!
