Hi,
I'm looking for some good lock screen replacements.
Time of day, email/sms count, battery power, weather? would all be nice to have on a lock screen.
Prefer free but I'm willing to shell out a couple bucks if there aren't any free options.
Thanks!
- GOTO Lockscreen
- Widget Locker
Anyone know of any flashable lockscreens? Not apps. As I'm also quite bored of the drag down unlcoker.
widgetlocker is worth the money! couple of different unlocking styles + add any widget that you want... love it!
cheers
b
Agreed. Just bought WidgetLocker and it's well worth the two bucks.
Try lock 2.0 its pretty good... has a stupid iPhone lockscreen so you can tell your friends you have iOS
Does any of those programs replace HTCs answer/reject call screen? I usually reject the call when the phone is in my pocket.

Nope. No app from the market would be able to do that. You'd have to change rom for that. But even then its either sense down slide or vanilla across slide.
Widget locker has an option to hide the popup till you unlock. I haven't tested it but its there.

Is there anyway to get that "vanilla across slide" for sense rom. Atleast HTClocksreen.apk deletion doesn't work.

Nope, not unless a dev has removed ALL of the sense lockscreen, which most dont, and replace with the vanilla.
However, I think someone posted on here about adb pushing the vanilla lockscreen (rotary or slide) to sense roms. Not sure if it replaces the call slider but might be worth a try.

Thanks for the info.
Widgetlocker has gives you rotary locksreen among others but it doesn't affect on call slider
With widget locker is there a way to prevent the default lock screen from popping up first?
I purchased it last night but the delay where the default lock screen shows up first is pretty disappointing.

Thats what I was saying. No apps will change the call slider. Hence why I said to try the adb push method.
Search the forum for the adb push vanilla/rotary lockscreen as that might change the call slider.

Have you put it as default for home button etc?
Mine works like it should be and I see it only for second very rarely.
I've just installed LockBot and have set the theme I like..
Looks good - BUT !!!
When a calls comes in the Desire reverts back to the default lock, ie: slide down to answer... This is what I was hoping to get away from.
How do I get LockBot to work as a Lock and slide for answering ?
Thanks
It's just a substitute lock. It can't be used as a call slider...
Ahh.. are there any call sliders available ?
Thanks
Not from the market.
The call slider is part of your rom (ie AOSP slide left and right or Sense up and down) and cannot be changed by a market app

I use widget locker , this replaces the" slide down " thing .. fab ... as I can now have a calender etc on the lock screen...
WL cost a few quid
Hi
Will widget locker give me the froyo style lock/sound icons ?
Will it stay locked on an incoming call, showing who is calling before I unlock it ?
Thanks
Will widget locker give me the froyo style lock/sound icons ?
If you want .. there are loads of icons out there for this app ... as it's a paid for .. it's has loads of add ons.
Will it stay locked on an incoming call, showing who is calling before I unlock it ?
Yes ... the default incoming call starts... but the screen is still locked.
Thanks.
when a call comes in and the screen is locked, I presume this uses the default slider to unlock.
Any 'easy' way to change this to the froyo style unlocker ??
Thanks

You can change the icons for the sliders, but it will still be the same slide actions.

so it will always be slide down to answer ?
Not slide across ?
Yes. You'd have to edit some lines of code in the Dialer.apk (or whatever it's called). But even if you delete the HtcLockScreen.apk, so that you get the real Froyo Lock (not just a replacement) the default Sense Answering-Lockscreen will be there when a call comes in.

Any solution to this, please?
Say I wanted to pull a lock screen from a rom and add it to another. Can it be done?
I want to get rid of the sense lock screen and use a cyanogen type.
Thanks in advance.

Edit. Got it. Perfect. Thanks.
Read into replacing the Sense alarm clock too, as I believe it can only be snoozed/dismissed through controls in the htclockscreen. Could be a little problematic in the morning.
Now if only it was that easy to change the Sense answer/reject slider for the stock one...

How do I replace the alarm clock? I never thought about that.
Edit: Found it. Not as good of a fix though. FC on the new clock. Guess it's back to sense lock screen for me. Anybody have the apks for it?
J/K. I backed them up.
pull camera from another build?
Hi, I have a similar question. I have a build that the camera's zoom doesn't work and the LED cannot be turned off/on during recording. On another build the camera works perfectly. Perhaps I can exchange the files on the two build?
Thank you very much for your help.

I know there is a clone, but it's stripped of the location weather and message preview.
Sorry to thread jack, but are you having low call volume or does yours seem to be okay? On earpeice that is
seemed fine...had to turn it up the first incoming call

If you want to go to the stock launcher you can. I searched around for RAZR M home screen and found one with the Circle widget and Quick Settings which is basically all I wanted stock. Now I need to find a way for Smart Actions to work lol
