Change sense lockscreen with original lock

Hello,
I tried to search but couldn't find any answer.
Is it possible to disable sense's lockscreen (and keep sense launcher...) and enable Android's default lockscreen (Eclair) without any additional app?

Thanks for your answer. I think your talking about htclockscreen.apk, as I don't have any file named lockscreen.apk, but I'm not able to delete it without rooting the phone

Then i don't know if it's possible without root?

You'll need to root or, if you have a higher powered device, install lockbot from the market. It replaces your lockscreen and it has eclair, eclair-2.0.1+, iPhone, and Sense lockscreens. The Pro version has a few more.

Actually this is not enough, i'v removed this .apk but when call is received the lockscreen is still sense - you must slide down
tried on HTC Desire Pays rom 2.1 based

We need a solution here...
All lockscreen apps don't work as they should, as the lock is disabled (htc legend) when the home or menu key is pressed.
The problem of default lock screen is that because of the slide down (instead of lateral slide), the lock screen is often disabled when the phone is in my jeans pockets and then it does unwanted calls...

Yes that what I'm actually doing, but still... it's annoying to put the pattern at each unlock
I sent a msg to htc costumer service to see if they have a solution.

I tried LockBot Pro, but it's buggy and slow as hell.

Hi, found this topic when searching for "Caller ID lock screen"... and see that it seems to get no solution.
WIth HTC Desire HD, the problem remains: the caller ID lock screen can't be changed for a horizontal one. It will be usefull to avoid that my pocket automatically answered a call when I pull the phone out before seeing who is calling...
I still dig for this kind of "S2U2 Caller ID" (horizontal slide to unlock instead of default Sense vertical which is too sensitive when phone is in my pocket).
If someone gets ideas?...

Why do you need a lockscreen at all? Can't you just turn the screen on/off?

Yes you can there is a thread on this, search for vanilla lockscreen on the desire topics.

Froyo lock screen - Notifications

hey everybody, quick question:
coming from htc sense roms I'm used to the screen lock showing missed calls and sms. so there is no need to unlock the phone to see if I missed anything.
with the froyo roms I don't have any notifications on the lock screen, so I actually have to unlock the phone each time I want to check if I missed something. is this how froyo lock screens work? or is there an easy way to have the missed calls/sms on the lock screen?

Purchase Widget Locker from market

the notification bar still shows up on the lock screen. Just look at the little icon's to see if you missed anything.

Looking for lockscreen replacement!

Hi,
I'm looking for some good lock screen replacements.
Time of day, email/sms count, battery power, weather? would all be nice to have on a lock screen.
Prefer free but I'm willing to shell out a couple bucks if there aren't any free options.

Agreed. Just bought WidgetLocker and it's well worth the two bucks.

Try lock 2.0 its pretty good... has a stupid iPhone lockscreen so you can tell your friends you have iOS

Does any of those programs replace HTCs answer/reject call screen? I usually reject the call when the phone is in my pocket.

Nope. No app from the market would be able to do that. You'd have to change rom for that. But even then its either sense down slide or vanilla across slide.

Widget locker has an option to hide the popup till you unlock. I haven't tested it but its there.

Is there anyway to get that "vanilla across slide" for sense rom. Atleast HTClocksreen.apk deletion doesn't work.

Nope, not unless a dev has removed ALL of the sense lockscreen, which most dont, and replace with the vanilla.
However, I think someone posted on here about adb pushing the vanilla lockscreen (rotary or slide) to sense roms. Not sure if it replaces the call slider but might be worth a try.

With widget locker is there a way to prevent the default lock screen from popping up first?
I purchased it last night but the delay where the default lock screen shows up first is pretty disappointing.

Thats what I was saying. No apps will change the call slider. Hence why I said to try the adb push method.
Search the forum for the adb push vanilla/rotary lockscreen as that might change the call slider.

You can do this, but u need to use the default phone.apk.
there was a fix on the forum here but i forgot where it had slide to answer option even.

Have you put it as default for home button etc?
Mine works like it should be and I see it only for second very rarely.

Changing Wildfire Lock Screen?

Hi guys im new to the forum and, i dont know much around. Could you guys tell me how i could change the lock screen to standard 2.2 Froyo lock screen? I dont want to use the Sense lock screen and i have already tried out lockbot which fails to work miserably.

I'm sure you'll be able to find it on google or on the internet somewhere , and lockbot is crap imo.

I've got default android lock screen by using wildpuzzle + remove htc widgets package.
Just wondering weather to use widget locker or try and mod this one.

i shyed away from it in the past because it would show up when screen was locked and unlocked within the 5secs...

Yes it works perfect with the stock android lockscreen, it never shows up after i unlock widget locker.
Just don't forget to enable 5 second root rule just in case.

first go to settings -> applications and enable uknown sources....then copy the app to your sd card ...when you do all that use any file manager and go to your sd card and find the app you want to install...then just click on it
use the market app to download a file manager if you dont have one jet

Realy stupid, isn't it I was wondering myself what the hell that was, and when it was raining a saw a very crapy animation of droplets falling on my screen. So the square thing is a weather animation - i think it's supose to tell you that it is cloudy outside
Just look in the setting, you will find an option somewhere where you can choose to show the animation at every screen, show it just when unlocking the home screen or disable it.

i have the same problem....apperantly you have to disable weather animations but i don't know where

Hi!
Is there a lockscreen app for Android like the one on WinMo's S2U2?
I realy miss the way it locks the screen until you slide to answer it, when inside your pocket i always answer or dismiss the call when pulling the device out of my pocket.

I've tried a couple of those, but non of them are as good as S2U2
I want to be able to slide to answer, that almost eliminates the chans that you answer by misstake when pulling out of the pocket.

Widget Locker. It's a paid app but has just been updated and has a lot of customisation options for your lock screen. You can have the iphone/S2U2 slider if you want but it gives you more choice if you want it... Recommended.
