Hi all,
Quick question regarding the "Smart Sensor Settings". I like the "Smart Profile: Face Down" option that silences your ringtone when the phone is turned upside down, but it switches the ring from audible to vibrate. I almost never have my phone on audible, vibrate is my default setting. Is there any way to create profile that will switch the alert from vibrate to none?
I'd prefer freeware, but I'm not opposed to using something like Tasker if it can do that trick (ONLY during incoming calls).

Is there a way to setup my Moto360 to always give me my phone's notifications, even if the phone is on silent or do not disturb?
Looks like I found a way. I edited the sound profile for vibrate only to not vibrate at all. Now when I'm on vibrate mode the phone doesn't do anything, but the watch does notify me. What sucks is now I don't have a vibrate mode, though. There's also the "Mute connected phone" option, but without an easy toggle on-off button it's useless to me.
Still open to ideas.
In my Android Sounds & Vibration Settings I have "Vibrate when ringing" set on, and a default ringtone. I'm using a Canadian VOIP dialer called Fongo.
With my Axon in Vibrate mode, when I call my Fongo number the Axon will only vibrate once, like a message notification. The call will continue to ring but the Axon is silent/motionless.
In the Fongo app Settings, I can turn on a separate "Vibrate When Ringing" toggle. This fixes the ringing issue, and will continuously vibrate when a call is ringing. However this breaks Silent mode function, so if the Axon is in Silent mode, it will actually vibrate rather than be silent.
Anyone know how I could fix this issue? At work I need it to be 100% silent in Silent mode, and need it to vibrate continuously when receiving a call in Vibrate mode. The vibrate setting is audiably loud in my quiet workplace (film set) so you can understand how this is an issue.
Hi all,
is it possible, with the current OOS or an additional app, to achieve the following:
I want "do not disturb" to work like this:
- starred contact calls: phone vibrates
- non starred contact or unknown caller calls: phone stays silent.
so far, I cannot reduce the ringtone volume to zero. Furthermore, I sometimes need a loud ringtone, so choosing a silent ringtone will not solve my problem. Additionally, I sometimes need a full silent mode.
I found a workaround for this problem with dnd mode which had worked on oneplus 3, but stopped to work with some version of OOS. Can you help me?
+1 to this. I would like to Silent be silent, do not disturb to vibrate only and the third option lets there be sound.
Hey guys,
is there no way to customize the sound profiles?
I can't let the phone just vibrate instead of muting it or turning sound on with any of the three profiles.
One profiles totally mutes the phone and doesn't allow to turn sounds on. The other two don't allow to mute the phone or set it on vibration.
One of the three profiles even only let's me toggle if the phone should vibrate for incoming calls. Nothing else!
I used to use Tasker to control ringer volume depending on certain scenarios (eg. when my smartwatch is connected I want to have the watch on vibration only and when I leave it at home, I want ringer on). I cannot do that with 6T because of that annoying hardware ringer slider. If the slider is on silent, the volume cannot change using software. Also when the ringer is on, the volume cannot change to 0 using software.
What's the minimum intervention I need to do to have that? I already rooted my device. Is there a simple hack that will allow this or do I need a different ROM? Do you know any ROM that supports it?
Anyone?
I found the solution myself after all. It works if I configure Tasker to change "Sound Mode" to Off or Vibrate, together with changing the "Ringer Volume". On my Samsung Edge S7 changing the "Ringer Volume" was enough. On Oneplus stock ROM it seems that Ringer cannot be set to 0 unless "Sound Mode" is Off and it cannot be set to anything above 0 unless "Sound Mode" is not Off.
So nothing to do with the ringer slider position after all.
And there is "Do Not Disturb". "Priority" will enable DND and "All" will disable DND. I use "Sound Mode/Vibrate" to set my phone to vibrate when connecting to my car to silence notifications not interuppting any music.
