Not able to use the pic album anymore - how can I repair it?

For some reason, I can't use the pic album anymore. When I open it, the sceen is frozen, and no pics comes up.
I have downloaded XnView to use instead - and that is a great program. But it is a bit irritating if I am using the camera, and then want to see the pics I had taken, I can't do it directly from the camera mode.
Somebody have a solution - and know what is wrong?

Thats funny! i have the exact same issues as you.. my oem picture viewer looks like its freezing up.

i started a post on this exact problem, in my case i am running the eten dialer and it is a known issue. i hope someone can lok into this is. it is a real PITA

Well, I am running the Eten dialer too - did not know loosing the pic album was a "sideeffect".
Maybe that is the price to pay :wink:

HTC Album Problem

When i open the HTCAlbum for photos it automatically closes after about a second. I can't get it to stay open and not sure why it is closing. I have installed another photo viewer S2V and tried to change the touch cube to use this for the photos, but when i click on it, it gives an error message on the lines of it is not a trusted application.
Has anyone got any solutions on how to get the HTCAlbum working or for the photo button on the touch cube to run S2V?

Did you found the solution? I have the same problem. It started when I uploaded some pictures on my microSD card. Please help...cause it's closeing by itself after few seconds....

Hi all...
Does anyone here experience the same thing as me ?
Take picture with Camera, review with HTC Sense via Albums, notice that the colour of the pic distorted in the album page but not when full mode picture preview...
Any known solution to this ??

Its a known bug, its the same with my HD2. I have read reports its been fixed on the latest rom but cannot confirm, there is another thread about this issue somewhere.

"Photo and Video" doesn't work?

first: i apologise to you for my bad english!
this is my problem: i upgraded my rom 2 days ago from htc website, installed all the hotfix, and nothing more else.
From htc-sense if i choose "Photo and Video", it shows only 99 photo, but in my SD there are more then 300! is it normal? also i have copied a video, but obviously it isn't displayed.
Anyone know how to fix it? '

as far as i know this was always case of manila picture Tab eversince first releases.maximum of 99 pictures.

is it possibile to change it? For exemple.. a registry key? '

Crappy Quality of Pictures Thumbs in HTC Album

Hello dear HTC Leo Community
i'm facing a really annoying problem and so far the google results didn0t give me an answer.
Does anybode has the same problem or had the same Problem and know how to fix it?
The Thumbnails in my HTC Album are shown very very very crappy
i still have the original rom installed.
if i click on the pictures the quality in fullscreen is normal but all my thumbs are really ****ed up
would be glad if someone knows whats to do i already searched the registry but ididn't found something which is pointing on this setting

You must install the official camera patch provided by HTC on their site. It will fix the thumbnail preview as well.

Or update your ROM to the latest one as this includes the hotfixes...

i now installed the hotfix and it didn't work the thumbnails in my htc album are still the same
has anybody eventually the correct link with the file i'm not sure if i picked the right one.
and another question, when i update my rom what happens woth the software like cookie home tab or these things?

When flashing a new ROM, stock or otherwise, it'll wipe all programs/apps on the device so either back them up or remember how you set it up in the first place

so i don't want to flash the rom
cuz most of the apps i isntalled on the storage card but all shortcuts will be gone
the rest i yould easily backup
can you please post the link to the correct htc album patch? i didn't found it

hotfix does not correct old thumbnails.
after hotfix, all new thumbnails will look perfect.
Hotfix is out 3 months now, why did you not applyed it till now?

Does this also fix the crappy quality of the pictures in picture contacts?
The faces have a very poor quality (pixellation, not defined) although the source pictures have an excellent quality and are big.

ps: can i change the setting that i can switch the musicsongs with the vol up and down buttons?
all the time when i want to switch song i have to get the phone out my cover then unlock and then go to the music tab
and another issue
is it possible to configure the device, so it wont stop the song playing when you disconnect the jack?

i now applied the patch
and the pictures seems to be a little bit better, but still not shown absolute correct in the thumnails
before it was really poor in quality means you could saw some pixels and no clean transition
now i can remark some stripe pixels its really weird but i will keep an eye on it

Your old thumbnails will remain like that, new ones wont. I learnt that yesterday!
