am using an xperia x1a with the stock r1a rom, when i go to settings and click on memory it shows total storage 279.21MB and total Program 200.48MB. is this right cuz i thought it was meant to be more than that and my xperia x1a keeps crashing. i also havent be able to update the firmware cuz the sony update software never regonizes my phone it stops at the point with its askes me to press the volume down and power button to get to the colored lines, after i do that and connect the phone nothing happens any help on that pls. thanks
Hi, I am having an issue getting my X2 into boot mode in order to update the firmware - even following the instructions on SE Update Service (press and hold volume down button and power button until white screen appears)
All that happens is the vibration feedback to indicate power on, then the phone loads up as normal.
I've updated another X2 and it worked correctly, the problem appears to be with this specific unit.
Does anyone have any suggestions on what may be causing this, or how to get this one into boot mode please?
Best to send it to service centre..
could it be because it's made in china? just a thought...
Just note that on the X2 you wont see the bootloader.
You know your in the bootloader when the phone stand on the SE Logo.
Then you can connect the phone and update it
Hi, thanks for the advice all
I can't send it to a service centre as I don't have a receipt unfortunately
I'm not sure what being built in China has to do with it not entering boot mode, most SE phones are and I've not had a problem with my other ones?
Thanks for the advice on boot mode - I successfully used SEUS an another X2 and the boot mode is essentially a white screen with the SE brand logo - sadly I don't get that white screen just the black screen with logo and vibration feedback then it powers on.
Any other suggestions or should I give up and sell as faulty/parts only?
Thanks

And the X1 was made in Taiwan. What's your point?
bootloader phone stand on the SE Logo
hm, obviously missed that one after X2 subfora where created...
Mod. edit: moved to correct forum, X2 General
try this:
read all steps first
turn off phone
pull out battery wait ten seconds
put battery back in (leave cover off)
hold the power button + hold volume down
press the soft restart button* (while still holding the power button + volume down)
keep buttons held down till you see the white screen and green logo.
note* push the button with stylus it is hidden under where the stylus goes in next to the camera.
plug into the computer and run SUES it'll say already have latest version update anyways? click yes
i had to do this when i bricked my phone, (my computer crashed while i was doing the update) it really saved my day.
x2 dead
I have same problem in my phone , during update with SEUS computer hang and now
my phone shows only vibrate.
i have tried volume down+power+reset
but it can't go to white screen or sonyericsson logo.
any other solution

xperia x2 died trying to update the software with seus
1 - no longer recognized by the pc by pressing (- volume and power)
2 - when power is pressed, the phone vibrates but does not start
anyone knows how to take him??
There is no way to flash from sd memory?
D e t a i l s ..........
We need DETAILS !
Did it happen during Download or after it finished download AND did the flashing start at all and if so HOW long (the bar) into the flash? Middle, End...etc.!
You have to take out the battery and then again press Volume DOWN and then the Power Button and HOLD both.... for at least 10-12 seconds for me, and after that the white screen with se logo should come up.
If this does not work, try again and again until it does. But always, REMOVE the Battery before doing it again.
By the way, what happens when you just start the phone?
exactly the same thing happend to me earlier this summer
went to se service center but they couldnt fix it so they sent it to se
they couldnt even fix it so i got a new device
same here...except it didn't even let me update, showed some error and now i can't turn it on. it vibrates when pressing power or reset button and that's about it.
now to make things worse i live in canada and bc X2 never even got released here I can't send it to service centre
how much do i hate SE?????????????????
how can I do a hard reset to htc hd2 chinese clone T8585?
the phone keeps boots itself and I can't get to windows (6.5) screen.
thanx!
mooki
if its the same as the hd2, then it's pressing volume up and down at the same time while resetting the device.
what do you mean restart?
a soft reset?
or power on the cellphone?
if you mean powering on the cell then it's not working
by holding the VOL - and VOL +
nothing happens that way and I guess it's because this is a clone
and not a real HTC phone. any ideas?

Didn't you got a Manual of your device??
Normally it's explain there!!!
Users here are owner of HTC HD2 (official one!!! No Clone) Things are not the same!!
don't you think I looked over the manual?
it's not explained there and I thought someone
here knows how to do it.
Just for the record, the HTC Touch HD2 T8585 is not a clone, that is the model number that the HD2 is sold under in Taiwan. The attached pic is a translated version of the HTC HD2 that Taiwan Mobile sells.
but how you hard reset it?

Next time you have a question you could first check the HTC HD2 wiki or use the search function. In this case you could have found out that the T8585 is not a clone, and how to hard reset it. Also, when others do your work for you, it would be nice if you thanked them.
before you judge me of things I did not do you can ask me
and I will answer you:
did you look for this issue on the forum before you post your question?
answer: yes I did!
I don't know if it's a clone or not but it's not made by HTC.
I bought it from DHGATE
http://www.dhgate.com/free-shipped-...creen/p-ff8080812af0030e012b04ff36ea4980.html
and finally I want to thank each and every one who tried to help me
here but I still did not manage to hard reset it, so this is why I probably
save the thanking part to the end...
cheers m8!

If you still can not reset the device by following the procedures described above, then it would appear your unit is defective. In this case, I suggest you contact the seller, and demand a replacement.
Edit: After looking at their specs on the website, it does not appear to be a real HD2. Is your screen size 4.3 inches or 3.5 that the website shows? If it is 3.5 inches it is a fake, then you should demand your money back. Even the CPU specs are not right for the HTC Hd2 T8585. Unless the website has the wrong specs, this would really appear to be a case of fraud.

Like I mentioned before sir, almost all users are HTC HD2 users here!
You have a clone; it's not the same device, not the same way of functioning.
So I'm afraid it will not be easy to help you out.
Tray to take contact with the factory of your clone device.

hard reset for hd2 clone bootloader??
Big Hello dear forum members.
If someone can help regarding the Chinese HTC HD2 (leo t-8585 +). In fact, I bought the above mobile phone, and I have a problem with poor signal quality, poor call voice. Many people told me that I need to put a new version of the radio. For me it is 1.07.10061. Now I wonder how it can do, how to find the bootloader on my mobile, how to put HSPL and whether it will be a solution for better sound quality and signal networks.
Other features:
ROM Version: K102_CHS_S00_V0.0.6
ROM Date: 6/30/2010
Radio Version: 1.07.10061
Protocol Version: DV3.0
Model No.: NEXPERIA SY.SOL 5209
Platform: Pocket PC
IMEI: 355037010040775
Thank you in advance

Were you with him when it was bricked? Are you sure it went off on its own?
(because as far as I know, the HD2 won't shut off for no reason, taking into account that the battery was fully charged.)
Also, since the device boots up, I doubt it is bricked.
If you have HSPL on it, than it is not bricked.
Try this:
1) Take out the battery for 30 sec at least
2) Put it back in and press the volume down button (and hold it), while you press on the Power button (an hold)
Until you enter the 3 colour screen
After you are there, just connect it to the PC and as soon as it says USB you can flash MALGDR or anything you want.
Good luck.
ughhh
man i think my hd2 is brickd like it wont even turn on it only vibrates a lil wen i press the power button any help please

When it vibrates, isn't it a sign that it's booting up? Try doing what Johev stated. Hold the Volume down button while it's booting up or even while holding the power button. If you can get to the tri-colored screen, your phone is safe.
