You tube not working with 2.15 radio - Droid Incredible General

Installed forever and update radio to 2.15. I'm still on stock 2.1 so not sure if that may be a reason, but you tube will not play a video, the screen just turns black and freezes. I did get the video to load once but it just played audio not video. Any suggestions on how to fix this, or any one having simular problems? I'm thinking it might be because i still have 2.1.
Thanks!

Don't think 2.1 is the issue:
I've got my DInc set with 2.15 radio, stock 2.1, stock recovery and S-OFF, been watching You-Tube videos for a few minutes without a hitch.

Hmm, that's weird. Where can I re download the youtube app from? It didn't appear to be in the market

Set if you can find a system dump and push the YouTube file via adb. If you can't pm me and ill get ahold of one for you.

I just pulled this off mine, since you and I are using the same software. Unzip this, and adb install the apk to the phone.
Hope it works!

Google listen with official 2.2 rooted

Ok I'm stuck I can't seem to get listen working, it worked in 2.1 but not in 2.2
It keeps saying I need to reg Google listen.
Grr this @#$%ING me off.
Any ideas
Uninstall and re-install? Works fine for me (except it tells me there are download prohibitions against streaming which I have to over-ride, but that's probably some other setting somewhere that I've adjusted without realising or which has defaulted after 2.2 )
But Listen does work.
I use Listen on 2.2 without issue everyday, but I'm not rooted.

New Netflix app

Hey so anyone able to get the new Netflix app from the market to work? What experiences are you having? It is supported on the G2 which is similar. I am running Miui and it starts but stops only after a few seconds. Maybe someone with a stock glacier can try it. It was posted today in the market
Sent from my HTC Glacier using XDA Premium App
Doesn't appear on the market, so i got a mirror and installed. No dice, it crashes as the video starts. But no worries, i spoke to customer service and they said the list of supported devices will grow very quickly, and said the MT4G is probably the next phone to get it. BTdubz I'm on stock rooted.
Doesn't work on CM7 at all. The audio plays, but you get no video.

This is my experience as well. I'm running nightly 68.
They are working on it in the themes and apps section. Apparently it works perfectly with the coredroid rom on our phone, so it is not a hardware issue. They are checking out the files now. I am pretty confident they will have a working version by the time I wake up tomorrow.
Yeah sounds promising it's been a long wait

yeah hopefully they get it figured out in the themes and apps section
So I installed the netflix app and edited the build.prop exactly how it said in the one of the guides and now my phone just keeps restarting. I can't do anything at all. How can I fix this issue?

2 things:
1. weird that your phone is bootlooping after only changing the build.prop... do you have a backup in clockworkmod recovery? that would fix it. I changed my build.prop 2 days ago to try this and i was able to start up just fine.
2. Changing the build.prop unfortunately does not make it work

Mytouch 4g-White
Root Method-gfree

CWR-3.0.2.4
Rom-Royalginger v2.0
Kernel-ckisgen-smartass-v1.1
Stock Glacier. Nothing custom. All I did was root it. ENG S=OFF. Thats about it.

Need help!!! I would really appreciate the help!!

I'm currently on Bionix - v 1.3.1 and for whatever reason my phone just started acting up. Mainly my video player. It won't play any videos, from what I've recorded on my phone to youtube videos. The only temporary fix is to reboot. I've been looking for a solution but no one seems to know one.
Anyway I'm thinking of reflashing my phone hoping for a permanent fix but just thought of flashing a new rom. My question is must i bring my phone back to stock 2.1 or can I simply just flash it as if it was an update to an existing rom???

I'm not entirely sure, but I always just odin back to jfd if I want to install a new rom. Starting fresh.
I'm not sure how bionix and voodoo and different kernels may come into play though.
I'm not an expert, so maybe someone else should chime in.
I have a guide for going back to stock in my signature.
Try TRigger 3.2 (or 3.3 beta) OR Zen... both in the dev section.

I'm not too sure about the supposed netflix fix with the htc update. As far as I can tell the netflix app is gone from the market. Suppose I take the update and decide I want to reset my phone to factory. I obviously can't install netflix again because its not even available to be download from the market anymore.

if by factory you mean unroot dont do it just wait the update will be here and netflix should show up again
No I mean to do a factory reset. Lets say I have unrooted gingerbread update from before and I update to this upcoming one. I decide to do a factory reset to go back to OEM state. I will obviously have to reinstall my apps again from the market. But the netflix app is no longer available to be download from the market. Which leaves me to believe that there is a problem on Netflix's end.
Another thing is that I am on Froyo now and I am still having problems with Netflix. It doesn't seem like Netflix's problem is limited to gingerbread.

theres a updated netflix version on the android market website to 1.2.2 idk how to download it so its not totally off market just our devices cant see it at the moment or netflix has it hidden from us one way or the other there will be netflix today

once it installs there is an update, then it will work. Confirmed to work on the Evo and 3vo
Had the NetFlix app already installed from prior use, and it actually never stopped working for me. Went to open this morning got prompted for the "New Version of application is found" Clicked ok and get "Not found" The requested item could not be found. Confirmed not working.
NetFlix must be playing with the update. If I hit "Cancel" it will sit at a White screen and Netflix will load.
Currently running Version 1.2.1 build 843839-1.0.0-30 that I downloaded from a share somewhere.
Running Sprint Stock OTA 2.3.3 never rooted.
Did not work

[ROM] Official OTA 1.70.605.0 Rooted, Deodexed, Busybox, Debloated

Since I didn't see this yet, and I'm not a fan of the bloatware in the RUUs are they come from verizon, I decided to take what was released so far and remove the stuff I didn't like.
Original Thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1160374
Credits:
Jcase/AndroidPolice - original RUU for OTA
Retrokid223 - rooted update zip
Features:
1.70.605.0

AdobeReader
Bloackbuster_htc

SlackerRadio
TuneWiKi
VCast
VZNav
VZW_BitBop

Notes:
Based on original thread, until source is released for this kernel custom kernels will NOT work! You also need the official MR2 radio, the download link can be found in the original thread: Radio/Full rooted ROM
Anything else that I left in that someone wants removed, just mention here, I can tweak it again and re-upload later.

Updated to include zip to put Peep app back into the system
(First time ROM post for me, usual disclaimers apply: not responsibile if your phone dies and/or develops a complex and wants to take over the world, flash at your own risk - that said I have made sure it works by offering up my own thunderbolt for testing!)
Is there any way you could rip the desk landscape app that was included in the new update?

Got a screen shot to show me the app in question? Not sure what you are referring to.
Well I'm not too sure because I'm on Gingeritis 3D but on the bottom of the software update page (http://www.engadget.com/2011/07/09/verizon-pushes-latest-thunderbolt-update-solves-reboot-issues/) it says there is a thunderbolt desktop cradle app

Oh crap I feel like an idiot I looked at the list for the longest time. It says features and lists a VZW stuff under it. I completely glanced over the wording "debloated". Now I'm much less confused since i seen the word!
Haha no worries, ya the link u mention is what I source from, just ripped out all the Verizon stuff, and some of the other annoying apps that most time drop. Other than that, the system is exactly the same as the Rom you linked.

I downloaded the other link last night and just pulled everything using root explorer. Is there really wouldn't be much of a performance difference or then the bloatware correct?
I can not update or install anything from the market. Is anyone else having similar issues?

The only difference is some of the app apks are removed, and will not start (some of them have background services that put a little extra stress on the system).
It's the same kernel however, the battery life is much better on the custom kernels - hopefully the source will be released soon for this cut and imosyon/adrynalyne can do something more with it to get battery life back up.

Did you do a full wipe and install the radio from the linked page? I didn't put step by step instructions because I figured by this point that would be pretty spelled out. If I need to, I can update the OP with more explicit instructions.

I did a full wipe, and this is not the first time the market acted up for me. It use to do it on my Eris, Dinc and now the thunderbolt. But I can install through the website which makes this just strange to me. I was using Flyweight Final with the 2.5 radio and had no issues but updated to current radio that came with the official MR2 update. Right now it doesn't matter what radio or rom I use I can not download from the android market on my phone.
Any ideas?

Hmmm.... only thing I can think of to check is a flaky mobile data connection if you are using that...... if you have it available see if you can link your thunderbolt to a known WiFi spot with the new OTA radio and access the market from there. I don't think it's software-based as I'm currently running the exact same rom on my phone and can get to the market in both WiFi and mobile data situations.
Good luck trying to use MMS on this. I'm working on a safe and useful debloat and to do it properly, it takes some time. I'll have it posted soon enough.

I was having the same issue with my wife's Tbolt going from MR2 radio and Flyweight to this debloated OTA and radio. Gmail, browser, etc worked fine, but Market wouldn't download squat. Wound up restoring her nandroid of flyweight and left her on the OTA radio.

My ThunderBolt did the same thing for me with the non-Debloat that Jcase/RetroKid provided (again which none of these updates have some of the features listed on the official support PDF from Verizon)
MyMarket wouldn't even show the ThunderBolt in the account settings/devices list
it was just, gone, I synced it 3 times and still it didn't show up, i tried to download stuff, couldn't, so i was angry enough about the problems i started with and just flashed my MR2 nandroid from back in June and i'm back to normal.
this update was NOT ready for primetime, nor does it have the desktop app, or new App menu with the tabbed browsing, the same menu found on the Incredible 2 (which is Sense 2.1) when I confronted the devs about the rom not having some of those features they called me a liar and said well that was a Verizon typo, this update just fixes the reboot issues that is all " SO I have made a promise to myself to never deal with those bung-holes again. I absolutely hate Devs that think there either king of everything in this area or they think they can remove stuff and people won't notice or they can edit anything they wish and you have to put up with what THEY want. alot of good features and apps are lost that way.
anyway, that ends my rant
maybe i'll try this one but since its also provided by jcas/RetroKid I don't expect it to be any different...
anyone finding difference btwn this and bamf 1.8.6?
