Beautiful Home Weather clock offset in landscape - Droid Incredible General

I'm not sure if anyone else has noticed or reported this as I couldn't find anything when searching but Beautiful Home Weather widget does not display correctly when in landscape. The clock is offset a few pixels no matter which skin or size (home and smaller home yield similar results) I use.
Anyone have any ideas? My best guess is it thinks the Inc is a Droid with the 854x480 resolution and expects to have those extra 54 pixels when in landscape.

Panel Dimensions

Hi,
The Xperia screen resolution is 800x480. Yet I remember reading somewhere that the panel thumbnail was 400 something by 200 something pixels.
So if I am developing icons for a panel do I go with the 800x480 resolution or the 400 by something?
Can someone please let me know what dimensions need to be used for portrait as well as landscape mode.
Thanks!
You will need:
400 x 180 Landscape pic
200 x 120 Landscape pic
240 x 350 Portrait pic
120 x 175 Portrait pic
Can someone explain the difference...as to why the resolution is 800x480 but the panel size is 400x180?
So any icons I design, I need to make sure they fit within 400x180 for the landscape mode?

Click to collapse
I can only guess that they are smaller because they only work as a preview and probably loads faster.
But if that is the case then it is still debatable as to what size the icons needs to be as that is the actual panel graphics not thumbnails.
I was going thru the documentation and they mention something about double pixeling. And say something like make the icons the right size but state the width and height as half. I'll see if I can find where I read that bit so I can copy/paste the exact thing.
So right now I'm just as confused.

Wallpaper Size

What's the wallpaper size for the Desire? Want to make my own Pioneer CDJ one I've used on all my phones of late...and where do you save them once done?
I think its 960X800 same as Nexus One.
Nice one my friend - will confirm once I've had a play about
Why do any pics you set as wallpaper (even in 960 x 800) are so much more zoomed in??? Is there a way to rectify this?
Yeah, just try dragging one of the corners of the crop rectangle, you'll be able to set them at full size
nice, that solve it, hehehe. thanks

[Q] Is it possible to center a 4xX widget?

Is there either a way to center a widget that is 4 spaces wide, or set the screen to be only that wide?
I don't wanna screw up the resolution or change the density, but I really want to center this thing.
Thanks guys.

You can use a different home screen such as launcher pro, or adw launcher that will allow you to change the number of columns or resize your widget to 5x4.
Otherwise there is no way with samsung home.

Try out Zeam Launcher it was developed by XDA.
LauncherPro works fine for me.
i use launcher pro with 4 width wide, but using 4x1 or 4x2 widget clock/weather still makes it not centered >.<
anybody knows about clock/weather widget that looks like sense and free that will fit nicely on launcher pro?
I can personally recommend lcd density changer (reqiures root) combined with launcher pro.
I've set the density setting to 180, and configured my launcher pro homescreen to have 6 colums and 10 rows. I looks great and it feels fantastic. Also it takes much better advantage of the 7" screen
edit: I see now that you don't want to "screw up the resolution". But with launcher pro, you can even adjust the size of most widgets. If you press and hold a widget like you are about to move it around, but lift your finger of the screen when the widget "pops out". You can drag the lower right corner that appears, and thereby strech or shrink as you please. Be aware that some widgets look wierd if you push the limit
Set home screen column width to 6, it will be centered then - does on my device no problem?

Wallpaper slideshow without cropping - solution

Got a Nexus 7 on black Friday. I've used pictures of Serenity, from Firefly, as wallpaper pictures on my Android phones for years. When I tried to use them on the Nexus 7, I kept getting the frustrating cropping issues people keep talking about. I finally sat down this morning and found a solution. The first key is to use an app that doesn't scale the pictures. I'm using "Photo Gallery Live Wallpaper". The next step was to find the right picture dimensions so the picture on the wallpaper matches the picture file resolution exactly. This took some trial and error using pixel grids.
The Nexus 7 screen in portrait mode is 800x1280. The wallpaper picture sits 48 pixels above the bottom of the screen. So a 1232 pixel tall picture sits properly in the screen. Using the default launcher, the notification bar at the top of the screen is 48 pixels tall, and the navigation bar at the bottom of the screen is 64 pixels tall. So, the top 48 and the lower 16 pixels of the wallpaper pictures are covered up. For each of the two pans to the left and to the right of the center home screen, the background image moves 150 pixels. With the center home screen 800 pixels wide, this means that a 1400x1232 pixel image will display properly.
I've made 9 background images this size, and the wallpaper app seems to be cycling through them all properly.

Wallpaper width

On my previous Android phones the wallpaper was wider than one screen and it would shift a little with each home screen I looked at. My Note 3 doesn't seem to do this. I looked at wallpapers for it online and they were all 1920x1280 so I made one for my phone at that size but when I tried to load it the phone asked me the crop the photo down to the single screen size. Is there a trick to making it accept the full size wallpapers?
