Dead after use PDF Flashing instruction from samsungfirmware

Hi,
i download the last version from SamsungFirmware (P1000XXJK5 ##), odi 1.31 and the pti. in the pdf from samsungfirmware is standing first part is to flash the pti with repartition and in the secound part, there is to select PDA, PHONE and CSC. But in the firmware is only one tar file for the PDA.
What firmware is a complete one with the correct CSC and PHONE files?
i think the problem was the repartiton, on the youtube video, there will be done without repartition and only flash the PDA part.
kind regards
Obviously you only flashed a partial ROM (PDA component only), but by repartioning you wiped out your existing CSC and MODEM components.
As I understand, you can only flash a partial ROM over an existing one with the same PIT. However, since you have effectively reformatted, you now need to flash a full ROM again, and then flash your partial ROM over the top.
An example of a complete ROM would be JJ4 as it includes MODEM, PDA, and CSC components.
I suggest that you start again with this ROM, or another that contains all 3 components and uses the correct PIT for your "final" ROM. You should then be able to flash you intend ROM over the top of it (PDA only, no repartitioning).
Regards,
Dave
Thanks Foxmeister,
i have downloaded the most roms and JJ4 is allready in the process. the big problem is, that samsungfirmware.com not write, what rom is full and what's only a PDA Partition Rom.
edit: now it works, i have make the full flash with the MODEM and CSC Files from JJ4 and the new PDA directly, this works too, without problems and after searching i could switch the language too, the JK5 has any kind of cyrilic as default.
kind regards
ju

Does CSC or PDA matter when flashing firmware from another country.

I am extremely new at this but if I want to update my firmware to, let's say, Germany firmware (PD1), will i need to keep CSC or PDA in mind? Or can I just flash the Germany firmware without those?
What are CSC, PDA, and baseband?

you have to take care of different partition layout sizes, with the new odin packages this should be no problem, if you only flash the pda (or AP) part.
otherwise you will fail at the flash procedure mainly with hidden.img and/or cache.img!
in any case: flashing your "stock" rom for your region or carrier will fix things if anything gets messed up!
another thing to consider: try flashfire from chainfire, its a new an advanced tool for flashing firmware files!

Any Complication with Installing a Different Region's Firmware?

My phone's csc region code is MTZ (Zambia), and I am planning to flash a Mexico unbranded firmware. Is this possible?
I had an S7 edge (tmobile) from the US before, ,and I have never experience call drop before. Ever since I got the international S7 Edge, I got a lot of call drops...is this normal? is the firmware to blame for? if so, should I install a different firmware from other region?
I think you have to flash your csc region code together with your choice unbranded firmware without the csc

When you extract your firmware you replace the csc with your original one and flash all the files with Odin. Warning your device will be wiped

Sorry, I'm still new to the flashing stuff but the CSC file is the same for all firmware from the same region right?

OK, if you have the original firmware/rom for your device just extract with 7-zip if not download that and also download the newest one and extract that as well. You'll find five files just replace the csc from the original firmware/rom and import all four files into odin except Home_CSC and as I said before this will wipe all your data so backup your important files before flashing.

Thank you so much for your straightforward and clear instructions. I've been looking around the forum and the people's explanation gets too technical for me at some point. Haha

How can I extrace CSC from official ROM and flash into custom ROM?

In order to enable VOLTE, I need to flash the CSC for my current carrier to custom ROM. However, it is difficult to get the CSC files.
As I download the official ROM, it is a big file end with .MD5 and can be opened using WINRAR and a lot of files can be obtained. I do not see a file relevant to CSC. Can anyone tell me which file is for CSC? Or is there other ways to get CSC file from official ROM? Thank you.

extracting csc file from firmware?

How do i extract the CSC file in .tar.md5 from the main firmware file? I want to flash it in odin. I notice when i flash the whole firmware in AP, my CSC does not change.
