Hi, im looking for a kind 'flashable .zip' developer that can help me make a flashable APN zip file that i can flash through recovery after installing a new custom rom. So i dont have to type my APNs manually. I have tried Cyanogens APN list but it dosn't have my APNs so thought I would try my luck here and hope that some kind soul stops by .
Hope to hear from someone

This looks fairly easy to do after looking around.
http://www.londatiga.net/it/how-to-create-android-update-zip-package/
The relevant file I think that that needs updating that you can pull from your device for reference or you can make from scratch should be /system/etc/apns-conf.xml.
apns-conf needs to be formatted like so:
http://pdk.android.com/online-pdk/guide/customization.html#androidNetCustPlat
I'll have a go myself later if nobody else volunteers or you seem to run into any trouble.
Thx for the reply and the links. But i still need some help, tried folloeing the tut you linked, but it wont work for me so a little help would be much appriciated

I had a look at Cyanogenmod's APNlist.
<apn carrier="TDC Internet" mcc="238" mnc="01" apn="internet" user="" server="" password="" mmsproxy="" mmsport="" mmsc="" type="default" proxy="" port=""/>
<apn carrier="TDC MMS" mcc="238" mnc="01" apn="mms" user="" server="" password="" mmsproxy="194.182.251.15" mmsport="8080" mmsc="http://mmsc.tdc.dk:8002" type="mms" mmsprotocol="WAP 2.0" proxy="" port=""/>

I had a go regardless as it's good training for if I need to do something similar in the future. No guarantee that it'll work, can't see why not though.

cool!...but is there a little bit more I could do?
Yes, there is.
First, decide what it is exactly you want to do - cook a ROM, write a program, mess with your device settings etc.
Then read the relevant portion of the WiKi.
Then check out Google.
Finally once you have a more specific question, like "what tools there are to program in language ***?", come back and ask us and we will try to help as best as we can.
Good luck!

I've installed the same version as you and I've no problem with the BT, except the problems it has before the updating.
Why don't try to do a hard reset?

I have installed several times the rom, have done hard reset several times ys igue equally, it(he,she) does not leave me to activate it and says to me that I have a problem of hadaware. If it(he,she) does not import for you diem the parameters of the BT in the record. Thank you

Thank you very much for your prompt answers.
Christonge I am going to ask for a favor you since you know much of this, it(he,she) looks if you can extract the original rom in Spanish to see if it(he,she) follows(continues) the problem since with the files raw I do a mess to myself.
Thank you very much for everything

Is there a step by step process that I could use to correct the mms issues?
The apn i backed up from the plain jane rom worked for me on verizon. Although it does not fix it on Cyanogen or kaos asop roms, not sure why.

Or you could just use the APN i included in the previous post. Saves from flashing over twice.
Here's my APN backup from my Cyanogen-based ROM. MMS works for me, sending and receiving. May be the same as the one posted above...

Backup your APNs first and then try the one he posted. Can't hurt to try. I'm not sure if it'll work or not.

Thanks for the information. I tried with stock and handsent but did not work for me on Froyo 20.
The attachment I posted and the attachment from Sheen160 are very similar. The one from "Ivan's" ROM uses 'null' for values in most fields whereas the other one just uses "". I suspect they mean the same...
One big difference (maybe) is the "MMS Protocol" value. Mine reads "null" while Ivan's reads "2.0".
just wanted to let everyone know that the on from Ivans worked,The apn i had installed would send my mms as a private user to the people i sent it to for some reason.anyways thank you people!!!
Personally I feel there's much too much new threads either complaining on the new stock ICS ROM, or spreading panic/FUD.
Wouldn't it be much easier for everybody to have all non-essential posts in one thread?
If so please post it all here, leaving remaining Note fora relatively clean.
Please.
yep, i think we need official guides:
1) if the ICS roms are safe
2) the safest way to get from GB to ICS
3) the safest way to get back from ICS to GB

I know <sigh>.
Probably my command of English is insufficient to express my intentions in clearer way, but I wish - so hard it almost hurts - that the flood of ICS related rubbish would stop. All the whining and moaning and especially boasting of those who did not follow flashing instruction and survived.
There is a few well documented informative threads on the subject, which contain all there is to know, but the valuable information gets flooded by all the rubbish, increasing confusion of those who need to know, and frustration of those who do. I know it's impossible to make the rubbish disappear, so - I thought - let's channel the waste to one sewer, errm, thread.
Yeah I know, not gonna happen...

Don't use Verizon myself but by all accounts it doesn't matter.
There was a chap in the paranoid Android thread who did indeed use Verizon, says it can be done.
You might want to have a look and message him.
Thanks I'll take a look in that thread.

No worries man..I wish I knew the answer.
If I had to guess, id say you can make calls but data is affected.
So that means a hard coded file needs to be edited.
Find the physical APN file and you have your fix.
Let's see what he says
