Sorry man, but not a chance. Ignoring the fact that its 1.5GBs, its a full length feature film. Not worth it, go to the store and copy it off their SD card. If you own the Vibrant, they should let you. You can copy it to internal sd using any file manager, and copy it back to your external SD.
It's drm protected anyways, so it probably wouldn't work if you copied it from another device. After I flashed a rom on vibrant mine stopped playing :-(

I'm running on Eugene's Vibrant4 and I copied the file to a different memory card too and it still works on my phone just fine. You sure there isn't something wrong with the file?
Not sure what happened for me then. I think I'm just going to torrent it later for a non drm protected copy lol

I thought if you flashed the original firmware with odin. You will get the movie back. That's what I did.

Is the Irrelevant a new Samsung phone? JK
also, if you havent written anything to the SD card, you can recover it with the many data recovery tools available online.
Go to Wal-Mart, buy the DVD. Download DVDFab and Handbrake.

Well, after browsing around the general and q + a sections a lot, I noticed that there are quite a few threads about the Wireless Tether App not working on CM7 and other AOSP roms. I was confused about that, because the Wireless Tether app has always worked for me on CM7 and any other AOSP roms. Some people prefer the native tethering feature, but I prefer wireless tether because it allows 4g tethering, and various other reasons (acess control, it shows who's connected and lets me control that. Shows the download and upload totals, allows me to adjust transmit power, etc etc). Well, teh roxxorz and I began trying to figure out why it was working on my phone, and not anyone elses. I discovered that wireless tether started working for me on CM7 and AOSP right after I had used vaelpak's rom, which required a custom version of wireless tether. I also discovered that I had a folder on my sd card, called android.tether, which contained a binary file in it. Teh roxxorz discovered that he did not have that folder on his sd card. So just to test it out, I gave him the .bin file, and he created an android.tether folder on his sd card, and put the .bin file in it. He then uninstalled the wireless tether he had installed on his phone (we had been testing), and rebooted. He then installed vaelpak's custom version of wireless tether, and low and behold it started working. So I think I got that folder and .bin file from using the vaelpak version, but I'm not sure. Either way, I'll load up the vaelpak version of wireless tether, and the .bin file, and also teh roxxorz's instrucitons on what he did exactly. Hopefully it will work for any of you who are interested in getting wireless tether to work instead of the native app.
Also, you shouldn't need the custom vaelpak version of wireless tether, as it works fine for me with the version from the market. I think it's the .bin file on the sd card that's more important.
Just Download the BINfile.zip file that is attatched below and extract the actual .bin file out of it. That is the binary file you need to use.
teh roxxorz's instructions:
1. Created android.tether folder on root of sdcard [case sensitive]
2. Placed the binary file inside android.tether folder
3. Uninstall current app of wireless tether
4. Rebooted phone [since it messes up your wifi when it doesn't work]
5. Install the vaelpak modified tether you gave me
6. Open and run app; no problems, started successfully
Very nice write up k2buckley. I couldn't have said it any better. And as you do, I hope this works for many others.
NOTE! > If you're having trouble renaming the .bin file from the OP, on the second page of this thread I uploaded a zip file where you just need to extract the .bin file, and place inside the android.tether folder.
See page 16, post #159 for how to set up a proxy server if you have snail-like 4G speeds while tethering.

What you can do is when you save it, select all files as a save type, not winrar archive. Also uploaded it for ya.

naa what you need is to download like a stock g1 rom that you KNOW has the sounds your looking for... than you un-zip that file and search in it for a media folder, thats where you'll find the ringtones and notifications sounds.. than you can either add them to another Rom's .zip file which im not sure if that works lol or you can add them to your sd card.. im sure there's other ways too...
The old audio resources can be found here: http://n0rp.chemlab.org/android/
And there is an AOSP media pack on the FBL post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=929678 ("AOSP media")
Thanks AdamPI. I was ripping my hair out looking for something that would open the nbh files. I really appreciate your help!
Help me to solve this please. in the list of Music player there are a lot of sound files from the cache of gameloft(asphalt).how to do that there wouldn't be any files like these in the list?
Even i had this problem ....
This happened when i put those data file in internal sd and installed the game via a 3mb .apk
To avoid this i directly downloaded a 77mb .apk and installed it.
This is not a solution but one method to avoid them
Put a
".nomedia"
file in all those folders for wic u dnt wan the media files to b detectd.
There's r many apps for tis in the market for tis.
I personally use Gallery Excluder of MrFloppyCoding. Ntn special bt gets d job done!

And what about Microbes live wallpaper from Nexus? It has been ported to SGS, so is it possible to have this in OO?

hi guys
delete or create file or folder & ... not avabile in 4.4 ext memory card
fix it
. Using a root-enabled file manager, navigate to /system/etc/permissions
2. Edit platform.xml and find the WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE permission.
3. Add an additional group definition for this permission...<group gid="media_rw" />
4. Save the changes to the file.
5. Restart.
Or
download attachment file extract & move to system/etc/promission
link
or just install SDFix form Google Play

Give it a rest. We get it. The changes to external SD access have inconvenienced you. The changes are no surprise, so you shouldn't have upgraded if it was so critical to you to continue having full read/write access with every app.
Either use one of the fixes suggested in this thread or in the other thread you're complaining repeatedly in, or downgrade to 4.3.

its not about me, what about other people that see update, install it and find out that they cant use 50% of their apps? did you thought about that? and some people cant root, or dont know how.
I just use 4.3 but others update their XZ and would just find out that their phones doesn't work like before and just call XZ stupid phone and sell it, they gonna buy different phone and find out it again and they gonna see how google mess with idea of freedom of Android.
Its like some car producer would say that you cant use your back seats, and lock back doors, how you would feel about that?

This is a development site. Most people here are perfectly capable of rooting to workaround issues like this or even of checking critical changes in Android updates before blindly updating. I posted about this change in KitKat a few times in the large thread about the update that you've participated in, for a start.
Repeatedly complaining after you've been told how to fix your issue is doing nothing but pointlessly flooding threads in any case. Please stop.

Dude I can do anything I like and there is no error .. So if you really dont know why its not working for you simply just downgrade to 4.3 rather just thinking of others , if they like the phone they will keep it and if they dont then obviously everyone has their own choice to sell it or buy it. So please stop complaining and take some time to fix it if its not working for you then just simply downgrade ... AND CHILL

There's no reason for you to repeatedly complain about this in different threads after you've been informed of how to fix it.
