home switching

i am on flipz new fresh 2.1b rom and it has the feature of live wallpapers and i was wondering how to switch screens to see the live wallpaper because i put sense ui as my default action and i dont know how to change it back. Can someone help?

clear the defaults of Home i think...
manage applications

there's a app called home switcher i believe

go to
settings > applications > manage applications > click on HTC Sense and click clear defaults

Launcher pro questions...

I see several screenshots posted here from people who use Launcher pro.
I do like those screenshots and there are some handy things about it what i like.
However.... I am a bit afraid to mess up my Desire. So i have a couple of questions....
1. If I install this app Can I switch easily between Sense & launcher Pro
2. How can i Switch
3. The most important Widget from sense is the contacts Widget, is there a widget that can replace this functionality ?
4. I also the mail widgets from Sense is there a replacement for those ?
I hav a stock rom with the latest Update. I don't want to root or dos something like that. Can I have a go with LauncherPro ?

If your in bed with sense why not stay there for now and see what happens on the 23rd when we get FroYo?

There are widgets out there... give Executive Assistant a spin
Why not just install it and see what you think... you might like it and ditch the sense stuff... which imo isn't that great!

Yes, switching is easy! You can either go through the "Manage Applications" menu (Settings -> Applications -> Manage Applications), select your current launcher and tap "Clear Defaults", or go to marketplace and download "Home Switcher" which makes life really easy if you're indecisive. ;P
You're also asked which launcher to use the first time you tap the Home button when one is installed or removed. You have to tap the checkbox at the bottom to set one as the default, so one of the easiest way to try it out is to leave it unchecked, then you get prompted each time, once you've made your choice, you can just tap the checkbox.
I'm not sure about specific replacements for those widgets, but in general there are solutions. You can add contacts to your homescreen directly the same way you add widgets (Hold a blank area -> Select "Shortcut" -> "Person").

How to set up ADW launcher as my default launcher?

Hi Guys,
I am using Openfire. I downloaded ADWlauncher. But do not know how to setup the ADW launcher as my default launcher.
Can somebody guide me..

Go to Settings -> Applications -> Manage Applications -> All, then find the LauncherPro, click Clear defaults. Then press Home button and choose ADW launcher and check it to be default.

[Q] DSIXDA kitchen launcher chooser

Hello all,
i couldn't find it with the search tool, so i'll just ask.
I am building my own rom with the dsixda kitchen, but i want to change my main launcher. (the htc sense launcher (sense3)), but i still want it to be in the background, so that Home Switcher can still switch it back. but when i add the launcherpro to the 'app' folder and cook the rom, it still launches Htc senses' launcher. how can i prevent the htc sense launcher from opening and just load launcherpro?
and another question, how can i change the main wallpaper?

Ok. To switch launchers and vise versa. You need to click on Application, settings, manage applications. Select all. In that list, look for your both launchers. For each of them, make sure clear default is not selected or checked. Once done, select home button on phone. You should see option to select which launcher you want to be the default one.

[Q] How to change launcher

I have Installed 3 launchers: GoLauncher, ADW Launcher and LauncherPRO (I think). Nao I'm using golaucher but I want to change to ADW. How?

There are 2 main ways (assuming you've set GO Launcher as default). Either download the app 'Home Switcher' from the Android market or go to Settings>manage applications> GO Launcher EX> Clear defaults (NOT Data) then press home and select ADW (and set it as default if you want)

Just press the Home-button and you should get the option to chose from all your launchers. If the option screen does not appear, go to Settings -> Apps -> GO Launcher EX -> Clear default settings (or something like that), then press the Home-button. Now you should get the option screen.

Launcher Switcher (from the market) works very well also, fwiw.

uninstall one of them，and reinstall that one，press home，u can see the launcher menu..

You can go to setting > apps > manage application > choose go launcher > clear default and press home, you will see launcher can be use,,,
