Hi All,
Why I don't see a pop up window when their is an active calender reminder or the alarm is on? the window appears only when I enable it.
Is their a tweak to fix it?
Thanks,
system settings/personal/sounds
on the second tab, where you can configure the ringtone, there's more than just the ringtone. You can set the sounds, vibration and notification behaviour for all events. There's also a reminder event.
But I noticed that the reminder notification gets disabled from time to time. Don't know why.
Hi, can anyone confirm if there is supposed to be a popup notification for alarms and calendar notifications. I seem to only get a notification on the task bar which I can click on to bring up a popup window.
Is there a setting for this somewhere? I would like to have an automatic popup screen with the dismiss/ snooze options.
Thanks

Click to collapse
Yes mate, there is.
Go to Settings, Menu, All Settings, Sounds & Notifications, Notifications (tab), and select event type of "Reminders". Make sure "Display message on screen" is ticked and click OK.
That should do the trick
OK, found the cause of the problem. By activating the BsB tweak for an LED display for notifications seems to prevent the popup notification window.

Hi,
It may sound a bit silly, but is it active in the settings?
Settings -> Menu -> All Settings -> Sounds and Notifications
Check that 'Programs' / 'Notifications (alarms, reminders)' is ticked.
Check, under the Notifications tab, that Event: Reminders has the "Display Message on Screen" option is ticked.
yep this worked, just found it before your post, how would this option have been unticked i didn't do it. could software install have caused this.
Hi,
I bought Samsung Galaxy s4 a week back. I found a bug in alarm clock. I set alarm time and enabled repeat weekly option as well. Now the problem is, If I get any alert on my phone like SMS or mail, I cannot change the alarm tone until I switch OFF and switch ON the device. Even after switching it ON, if I get any alert before I change alarm tone, the alarm tone list displayed keeps flickering forever. Also, I cannot STOP or SNOOZE when alarm is ringing. Does anyone have any idea why this is happening? I did a software update and my device's software is up to date.
Any help in this regards is appreciated. Thanks in Advance.
Sudhakar.
have you tried simply clearing out the cache and or data on the clock app and then restarting the app and reset your alarm to how you want it? if not do so and see where that lands you.
This related to my S4 active, but I'm hoping the S4 is similar in this respect. I get a calendar reminders all day, and I don't dismiss them immediately as I often attend to some of them a bit later.
So for me the LED notification is useful to alert my that a new calendar reminder has gone off, but after I unlock the screen, swipe down the notification bar and select calendar notifications to see the list of notifications, and then lock the screen, I expect the blinking LED to stop, until a new reminder comes along.
Unless I'm losing my memory this has been the case with the S3 and other similar phones I've owned, where if you swipe done and look at the notification then lock the screen, the blinking stops. I tried it with email, and that works, if I just swipe down to see that there's an email notification and without dismissing lock the screen, the blinking stops, so not sure why it doesn't work with the calendar. Any ideas?
I also noticed the blinking is fast for the calendar and slow for gmail, is that on purpose?
Thanks.
