No problem at all. Get an account at mail2web.com (free) and you can then use the new push mail servie to get all at once.

re:Problem with the mail box

reroblem with the mail box
Hello
my question seems to be stupid but i dont know why it happens like that.
I can not set some new email account.
I already set a gmail, hotmail, but now i would like to set ea new professional one hotmail account, impossible. Each time i will be connected to www.mobile-live....
Any help please?
I believe it's only one Live account per phone (which is the same as Hotmail these days)
Hi!
Uhms sorry for bumping up an old thread but is this fixed yet? (having one hotmail/live account) or is it going to be a permanent thing? I've added a live account and I need to add another hotmail account. Is there any alternative?
Would appreciate help thanks!
xx

[Q] push mail

Just got my brand new desire hd this morning... looks fabulous.
Before anyone starts screaming that this question has already been asked, I would like to mention that I consulted "search" and didn't find any results.
That being said, is it possible to install push mail on the desire hd without going via gmail (thus, directly from my provider) ? And, if possible, what do I need and how do I proceed ?
I have a second question. I installed swype. I go to "lesson", I get a welcoming screen with the usual blabla and it ends with "push on next" (or something like that, my phone is in Dutch). There is however no "next" button on the screen. I can swype (during the lesson), but I can't get any further. Any suggestion (besides suicide) ???
Thanks a lot for all your very usefull answers
Jan
This question is in wrong section. Anyways, push mail is always there using Exchange accounts (non-gmail)....and on a seperate note where did you purchase the DHD from ?
Thank you for your answer. Where should I place my question ?
I do not use exchange but POP.
I bought the DHD at vodafone (in the Netherlands)
Cheers
Jan

It works, but not in the default mail client. Download "improved email" and it works great!

It was push email and ms exchange i'm looking for more info, not POP/IMAP.
Sent from my Desire HD using XDA App
I've managed to set up my hotmail account to push mail to my phone, but i cant get to make changes on the server from my DHD. so when i read, delete or move mail on my device, its not happening on my web inbox. i've got the option ticked in the settings, before anyone asks! anyone know how i can resolve this?

Are you using Outlook or any other email client on your PC?? If you are, then after you sync your PC with this email address, the mails from phone will be gone.
No, only using Hotmail and I have not synced with my computer.

[Q] Mail client...serious shortcomings, or am I missing something?

It seems that in the mail client I cannot search or sort the inbox.
Is this correct or am I missing something ?
If not then that is a major shortcoming.
Also, I cannot secify a number of days of mail to download.
I can do all these things in Gingerbread, why not in Honeycomb ?
Any ideas ?

Sadly these are shortcomings. That's why I decided within minutes of setting up my e-mail settings to subsequently remove them from the built-in default client, and to stick with a mix of web-based and local [Windows] access for now. At least I didn't lose any e-mails this way since it only downloads a copy of your messages, and will only delete e-mails if you tell it to (only for the Inbox).
