[Q] Bluetooth connection - Vibrant General

Not sure if this is another annoyance that goes along with the screen lag/GPS/3G/phone reception plethora of issues, but randomly my bluetooth is just disconnecting for no apparent reason. The really annoying thing is that the little bluetooth indicator in the status bar still shows that it's connected (has the 2 > < things showing "on") so that I assume it's connected & start talking into the bluetooth. Has anyone else had this happen and/or know of a fix?

Have the same problem with the HTC Desire, don't know if it's the same with Samsung Vibrant...

Thanks for the tip. I just posted on the OP's thread as to whether the fix will work on a Vibrant.

Question about Settings that are being reset...

Hey guys....
Other than the know problem with the Bluetooth turning off...I have experienced the following problems that are also very annoying:
1. I turn have turned off the optical mouse and at least once a day, with no particular apps or other programs to form a pattern, it will turn itself back on!!
2. and this one is killing me.... the Signature line for my Exchange email does NOT remain to what I have changed it to. After a reset (I think) or maybe random like the optical mouse, it will revert back to the default "sent by my Xperia X1 verbiage.
Has anyone else experienced something like this, if so does anyone have a work around or are we all waiting for a update or a new ROM?
Thanks.....BTW this is STILL the BEST device I have used...and I have uysed a tonne!!

I don't know about the issues you describe but another thing is that when you change the behaviour of the left and/or right button it is also resets these action back to default when changing panels.

Bluetooth disconnects

(Hope I dont dubble post now)
I had some issues with my BT headset (SE DS-205). It disconnected my link to the phone between calls, not everytime but close enough. It was annoying as hell!
(Might be that I ****ed something up when I "customized" my phone, but couldnt find anything ) *grin*
But since I changed my dialer-pad to HTC Touch HD dialerpad. My problem is gone! And the dialer feels better all together.
( Found @ http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=442154 )

This is a known issue and we had another thread talking about it. Please continue on that thread and complaints to SE

For "between calls", you mean "during" calls or after calls "end"? For the former one, I don't think we have the same problem, while for the latter one, please refer to this thread.
I just received response from Sonyericsson. The main part is:
"Unfortunately we can advise that this is the normal functionality for your products and is standard across all phones and headsets, the play/stop button will be needed to reconnect, this has been enabled as a a power save feature."
It seems there is always a reason--Oh, it's normal, you have to accept it! It doesn't make any sense at all. Also it seems they are not gonna focus on it, and probably the fix has been stillborn.

Random Popping Sound

Has anyone here had any random popping sounds from there phone. Every now and then I will be sitting there and my phone will start making these faint popping sounds. It is loud enough for me to hear it. Should I take it in and have it looked at. I can hopefully avoid this as I would need to return to stock, but not really a big deal considering I have done it multiple times anyways.
Thanks.
yep, mine does it too. when this happens it usually means that my speaker output is going to be very, VERY low. The only way to fix is it to reboot it only happened when i started using 2.2 roms.

Random question (but this mattered for me). Do you have "shopkick" installed?

Random popping and ticking coming from the handset speaker
Hello everyone.I am also experiencing this issue with the handset speaker popping and ticking. It seems to be associated with bluetooth and aggravated by USB charging.
I am curious what headsets other users that are experiencing this problem are using. I am using a Jawbone ERA and I suspect that it may be related to the advanced capabilities of the headset.
I have spoken to users that have Motorola headsets that say they have never had the problem.
I have also received a replacement phone and had the same problem with the new one.
The more info we can gather the closer we should get to a solution so please chime in with your info.
Thanks!
ya take it back to sprint... hope ya got TEP!!! thats what i did today cause along with that *popping* the phone would ring through my earpiece spkr... at least until i rebooted..

This has been a well known bug on all froyo builds. There is no workaround or fix as of yet. Gingerbread does not have this anomaly from what I've seen.
I am personally using a jabra extreme headset FWIW.. I would also get the popping sound after the phone was paired to the radio in my truck (Clarion CZ-500)...
I'm currently running EE03 (the ACS leaked swiss cheese version) and do not experience this anomaly.
Hope this helps
The popping sound is due to pairing with bluetooth and then unpairing / charging. I thought it was only a2dp related but I guess not.

SG3 Know Faults Thread

Thought it might be a good idea for all the know early faults to be in one place like the camera zoom fault in video mode etc.
Few guys including me are having issues when using bluetooth. I.e. paired to in car bluetooth. It seems caller cant hear me even thou i can hear them clearly.
Another thing when bluetooth is connected even though you have the loudspeaker option on the phone when pressed it doesnt work. Surely this should be disabled option when connected to bluetooth if it doesnt work anyways?

Could it be related to bt4.0 ?
It could be to do with that. We will have to wait and see when more people connect theres up to there car. Baring in mind the vehicle is fairly new as its a 61 plate merc sprinter 313
Taken from my post at Reddit. Not just faults but also some annoyances.
After 3 days of testing I have a few things that bother me:
When adding any app as a accessibility service (e.g. Lightflow), the Touchwiz Launcher will start telling you where you are right now, e.g. "Homescreen 3 of 5", "Opening folder". Can be fixed by using Apex or removing the app as an accessibility service.
Waking up the phone isn't always instant.
No USB storage mode, only MTP or PTP. You can't use the phone while transferring files.
Boot animations use Samsung's proprietary QMG format --> no custom boot animations for now
While you're in a call, sometimes you can't use your mobile data connection. Wifi works though.
Attaching headset/earphones shows various audio applications that can be launched in the notification area. These apps cannot be customized.
The accuweather widget has a maximum refresh time of one hour. Setting it to anything less than that is not possible. Also, it doesn't always update the current location.

Nothing serious as it seems.
.... and that Accessibility bug has been around a lot longer than the SGS3 - so a fix maybe has to come from Google?
Sent from my GT-I9300 using Xparent ICS Tapatalk 2
Its leakage from the touch buttons normal. Its a very minimal light leakage up to the screen . And i have the dark blotchs

I'd say the non instantaneous lockscreen would be annoying, and MTP would be a real disadvantage. The S3 doesn't allow you to use your phone while in MTP.
I have a Purple tint in the middle the screen . Do you think it Can disappear with an update

That's a known problem with ICS, had it on my Galaxy Nexus too!
Can anyone tell me what the speaker volume is like on the S3?
Also having bluetooth issues. Paired my s3 to a 2 year old toyota RAV4 and the pairing work ok, however poeple can't hear me at all. Got to work this morning and paired with a new Hyundai ix35 and all work ok. Have got my RAV 4 booked in a toyota next week to see if theres a software upgrade for the stereo. I hope this can be rectified...

Oneplus 8/8 Pro Continued Radio Issues on VZW?

Anyone else seeing this on occasion? It seems like every few days I'll have some sort of radio issues on this device, and it's continued despite having all recent software updates.
Sometimes wifi or LTE will suddenly die, even though both icons appear completely normal in the status bar...a handful of times I've had the mobile network suddenly die and have an 'x' over the status bar icon while showing zero bars. Sometimes a toggle off and back on of the problematic radio will fix the issue until next time, and sometimes a full reboot is necessary.
Aside from the minor screen tinting issue and this issue I really love the phone, but it does become somewhat annoying. And I know it's not just this device, as both OP8P phones I've had have done the exact same thing, and my wife's OP8 does the same thing too....so it's gotta be a software/VZW/etc. thing. Is anyone else here seeing similar things and/or found any resolution other than having to toggle/reboot? Thanks!
I've noticed this same thing too (OP8P on VZW) but for me it seems to only really happen at work which I find odd. Haven't found any permanent solutions myself though unfortunately. Just kinda randomly happens occasionally.
OP is working on a fix, at least for t-mobile germany. Read that in the german t-mobile support forums. Likely a bug in the SD modem. However I don't know if that addresses the wifi issue.

Interesting...mobile data seems to be the far more often culprit in my experience (and more critical, since certain things like SMS/MMS/calls/etc. get killed dead if that goes out). Any chance you still have the link for that post?
