Im having problems with getting the Wi-Fi to work since rebuilding my kitchen. First I was using OOBE packs but when I did that, the comm manager wasnt linking to the htc wifi atall, so now im using Wi-Fi Wizard v1.24.3.3 from the 2.14 WWE rom.
I can scan for networks, and it shows my home network, however when I press on it nothing happens, from looking at the task bar it seems its trying to connect (the wifi icon goes from red, to yellow, to red) but then nothing happens, no info message either. And I dont get the rotating loading circle next to the network name.
Not sure what else to try
Solved, I was using the wrong XIPKernel

Hi,
I couldn't find any other thread about this problem:
My O2 Xda neo has stopped detecting Wifi networks.
I activate Wifi in the comm manager, Wifi appears to work (the antenna icon appears, but not "radiating"), but never searches for wifi networks, only asks me to add a new one, whereas before a few weeks or so, it would display all the Wifi's found in my vicinity.
Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks,
n
i have the same problem...and couldn't find a solution for about 6 months on now....=(
Have you try on setting\connectons\wifi ? it has the list of avaiable wifi access points that were detected when you turn on wifi on comm manager.
(with the wm5 rom on my prophet, it auto connect to wifi access point whenever i turn on wifi on comm manager but when i use wm6 rom, I have to go to setting\connectons\wifi and connect to avaiable access point manually )

are u on Active sync or not? I remember that the Active sync on winXP have an option to disable wifi whenever you connect to pc (I use window mobile device center on Vista and don't remember exactly ).
sometime, when i can't connect to wifi, I check on setting connection and I found that the wifi icon with the name "WIFI" is replace with the same icon but with name "network card". I just soft reset and everything was fine then
Try Hard Resetting the Device
I have the same problem here with prophet g4 and wm6.1 konrad (tryed shadow's too).
Autosearch of wifi networks is missing.
maybe this our solution:
but how to proceed??
I wonder if this is hardware rather than software. Try an official WM5 (AKU2.2) ROM from the ftp/wiki and see if you still get this problem.
Can a hardware issue be fixed???
Hey all I am having the same problem on a Wizard wifi LED is blinking antena icon is up but no detection of APs I am ready to throw this thing. Some one hook a soln up please!!!
Am using O2 XDA Atom Life with Official WM6 ROM Update. The Wifi worked fine for sometime and then now I can't connect to my network.
1) The "Connections" tab in Wifi-Utility is missing
2) When I turn the Wifi On using "Wifi-Utility", It can see my network but when I click on, it goes to "Network Adapters".
3) "Wireless Manager" cant detect Wifi is on if I turn on using "Wifi-Utility"
4) The Wifi Icon doesnt appear though I turn on using Wifi utility (but the orange LED flashes though). When I changed the Registry DWORD to 3,5,8 the icon appear but its not getting connected.
Please help.
I also have a problem with WIFI on my HTC Touch Diamond Vodafone. It not turn on. I try many ROM's (original,...), try RADIO, SPL, Hard-SPL, but WIFI dont't work and i can't see MAC address. Any sugestion. THX.
I have an elfin now for almost 2 years. My problem started about a week ago. I tried to turn on wifi to surf the web but wifi just won't play. If I open up comm manager and press on wifi icon, the rotating busy icon comes up and in a few seconds, goes away and wifi icon stays white. If I try turning wifi on from the settings menu nothing happen either. After doing a hard reset, all is fine again and working.
I want to fix the problem without losing all my programs and save myself the hassle of reinstalling everything but nothing I try works.
If anybody has any suggestions, I would appreciate it very much. My phone is still under warranty so flashing is out of the question too.
Something I have noticed is that under the connections tab under settings, the wifi icon is not listed the same but has a new name of Network Cards. All network cards are still listed there.
help me !
I am in the same trouble. After up rom version "a touch of HD", my fone isn't able to use wifi anymore. I failed to make it recover again !
Hey guys,
I'm having some minor issues with my taskbar (Misfortune's v2) that started a few days ago...
The issue is, when I go to Comm Manager and activate WiFi, do my thing and then go back to disable WiFi again, the symbol in the taskbar stays that of WiFi - instead of the H, G or 3G normally. This sometimes happens when I connect my Blackstone with my PC (XP Pro) via activesync - but than it's the active sync logo that stays on when disconnected.
The only way to get back to the normal symbols, is to soft reset the device or switch off/on telephone in Comm Manager.
Is there somebody who can help me on this?? (For all clarity: I didn't install anything new on my Blackstone (the only thing I did was updating my usb drivers following Crackwhore's guide...)
Grtz,
Degake
P.S. I'm on Dutty's V3.3 extreme ROM...

you did install Misfortune's v2 task bar as well right?
maybe you could just uninstall it and see if you still have the problem
Just a thought
I have a Samung Galaxy S4, GT-I9505, Android Version 7.1.2, using LineageOS 14.1-20180309-NIGHTLY-jfltexx. Baseband version: I9505XXSPQA1. Kernel version 3.4.112-Lineage-ge8d93e0
It has worked fine for months. But on the 1st of July, while a friend was borrowing it, it was all of a sudden unable to see any wifi networks. My friend doesn't know what he did to it as he was just trying to connect his wifi. Now I can't find ANY wifi networks. None at all! All other devices in the house can find and connect to wifi networks and to the home wifi network.
I've tried the following:
1) Restarting the phone
2) Turning on airplane mode and looking for wifi networks.
3) Restarting the router
4) Factory resetting the phone
5) Flashing the same Lineage OS version from the SD card using TWRP.
6) Removing the battery for 1 minute and putting it back in and restarting the phone.
What happens normally?
I go into wifi settings by pressing and holding down on the wifi icon in the notification tray. When I get there, there is a blue moving bar near the top which makes it seem as if it is searching for a network. I still attempt to turn on the wifi using the switch to the top right. There's a message in the middle of the screen saying "Turning Wi-Fi on …" And then it searches and searches. Eventually the "on" and the wifi switch get greyed out and are unresponsive to any touch, but there is a moving blue bar just under it that makes it seem as if it is still searching, but it sees none. If I wait long enough and the phone screen times out and I turn it back on, in wifi settings, at the top it says "off" but the blue bar under it is still moving as if it is searching. If I press the switch, the same thing happens.
If I got into "Configure Wifi" the MAC address is set to 02:00:00:00:00:00 and the IP address is "Unavailable".
Doing all this gives me the impression that it is a hardware issue, not a software one.
But I'm wondering if there are any solutions that I haven't tried, or is there agreement that it is most likely a hardware issue.
My wife took it to a local market to see if they could fix it. The guy went to the TWRP app that was installed and claimed that somehow it had been used to delete the wifi software. It didn't seem right or likely. I don't think he knew what he was talking about.
Can anyone help at all please?
get a new phone lol serranoltexx is old
@amenyahu
Hello, If you have any FULL Backup include EFS, preload etc. Restore. If you don't have backup, you can try flash STOCK ROM using for ex. samfirm - https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-tab-s/general/tool-samfirm-samsung-firmware-t2988647
Also you can use one of thread https://forums.oneplus.com/threads/...-02-00-00-00-00-00-after-3-5-5-update.480733/
Let me know if there is any progress.
