Hello there!
I'm an Omnia 2 cook and I'm trying to make Sense 2016 work with WM 6.1 to see how goes the memory with it.
I've used my WM6.5 build OEM packages and SYS from 6.1. Everything goes fine until the system tries to load Manila... them it locks itself... I tracked down to sense since I've had enough time to disable it and the system goes up normally after that (I've had to remove the battery after managing to disable it on today).
I've seen somewhere that it has something to do with HTC Framework and Scroll but nothing further so I decided to open up a thread so, if there is a topic explaining it or someone could help me out, I'd be very thankful

6.1 needs HTC Framework 1.1 and Scroll 1.0. Double check if you have those included

What about the other apps? None requires the newer versions of the framework? Or there are those that need to be switched back to an older version?
Do you have the Framework 1.1 and scroll 1.0 (and could you hand me them ^^)?

I believe other apps would be more dependent on NetFramework. Maybe others can shed light on this.

Look for etoys' kitchen. I believe he cooks 6.1 Sense 2.5 ROMS.

Now I have another issue that I found that there were others with the same issue... My photopicker on 6.1 doesn't change the wallpaper... I click on the image or on the menu and nothing happens... The only thing working is the back button...
Is there any specific photopicker for 6.1?

yes dude this is done by pdaviet and ive installed it in my opal and its workin fine......

Some bad fact about this rom:
1. Sometimes the ROM is very slow, especially in work with Windows Media.
2. Very bad suuport of russian language. SMS, Tasks, Contacs, ect. ("Standard" WM Applications) work correct with russian encoding, but Audio Manager, Mobile Word, and in some cases Windows Media Player have wrong encoding.
But, it's very good!!! Very-very good ROM!

Sorry, I am not running a ROM with Sense 2.5 and therefore don't have a way to determining how the icons need to be sized, etc, nor a way of testing.

In the manilla settings tab it says it is version 2.1 compressed.

First time I did not succeeded
When I extract the iphone cab I get manilla files...And when I use WinCE cab manager I get the same result?
That is correct. They are manila files.
Can you post a screenshot of what your device with the cab installed so I can see what icons are showing up and what one's aren't.

running a imagio with 6.5 when I install the slider icons they show up verysmall. I tried just insatlling them after going back to stock and same result. any ideas?

not for me. this is running unbelievably well. no bgs that i have found other than when i install BG for all tabs. it moves the weather up onto the clock. not a bug really since that is an ad don for older sense Love this ROM!! thanks

hi... i tested right now this rom and its very nice, ut have some bugs to resolve.
In phone have some cosmetics to resolve, especiality the in button.
the landscape of manila dosent works very well, when you go in pictures the manila rotates after that the manina menu dosent appears...
if you resolve this bugs its very very good rom

have some task manager for this build?? because i lie to see what programs are running and close if i need..

What ROM are you running?
I have tested this on stock VZW 6.1 (TF3D 2.1) and stock VZW 6.5 (Sense 2.1) and do not see this problem.

It doesn't need screen shoots because there is no changes at all my Sense UI has its original look with no changes in the icons
Did you restart after installing them?
Are you sure you downloaded the correct version (Compressed vs Uncompressed)?
restart is a part of installation process.
i used both compressed and uncompressed versions and the result is the same.

Hey, I've just update my ROM form the HTC website. Now I've got Manila 2.5 and just searching thru the new menu and finding some things. I've noticed that you can't change your sms notification sound in Manila. But with some searching I found it a Windows menu
The thing that bother me the most is that I miss the arrow in the right top screen that gives a view of all running programs. Is there a kind of way to get it back?

You don't read anything about the WM version here, it's called: ROM Upgrade for HTC Touch Diamond2 Releasedate: 2010-03-18
For the first WM 6.5 upgrade it's called: Windows Mobile® 6.5 Professional Upgrade - HTC Touch Diamond2 Releasedate: 2009-11-03
Or is it only a manila update? (if that is possible).
EDIT: Just update to ROM version 2.53.404.3 and about to find out what's different.

Btw did you guys got trouble with synchronising hotmail? I use @msn.com and I can't get it intergraded into HTC Sense.
sorry can't help you there sometimes i use Windows Live via StartMenu but i hate that all the email-adresses come in to my adressbook when you connect
