Wildfire to Hero??

I was thinking as the new Wildfire has the same specs as the Hero bar more RAM could we just port over 2.2 when its comes out for the Wildfire (in like a years time LOL ) and then just patch the small bits up

But isn't the screen like qvga, and the hero is hvga?

Yeh from what I can remember both has 3.2" screens. However the Hero is 320x480 (HVGA) and the Wildfire 240x320 (QVGA I guess) so that should be correct!

As above, res is an issue.
A legend port would likely be better

By the time HTC releases 2.2 for either legend or wildfire, there won't be any devs around in the hero section.

Apparently, HTC have said that the Desire, Legend to get 2.2 by Christmas, now where have I heard that before??????
Now how much are those nexus 1's on ebaY again????

Help please

Im running a rooted desire at moment got my dhd today on upgrade i was going to sell it and keep my desire. Is this a bad idea? Just havent looked into the rooting scene with the dhd is it as easy and is thr as many roms ect?

I went from a Hero to a DHD so the jump was massive, but I'm not sure you will notice that much of an improvement over a Desire.
Rooting is very easy if you know what you're doing though, and there are some great ROMs available. Probably not as many as Desire, but the quality is there.

I'd use the DHD as it's newer and has bigger screen etc, but ultimately your decision

I wouldn't raise my hopes that high. I don't think the Desire C is similar enough to our device.

We need the DHD RUU for the camera nothing else is going to help us get the camera working..

I think Desire V RUU will be more helpful. It's almost the same as Desire Z. Besides Desire V has dual SIM(3G/2G and 2G) and no keyboard.
