System Process Suspend. I noticed it runs at a constant 30% until i restart my phone. Anyone else having this problem or even know what event triggers this?
Flash is nice and all, but its not enough to compensate for all the crap froyo is dishing out.
so far my issues with this are wifi not connecting, any audio out ( mp3 or stream ) sounds like utter crap, and now this battery drain.

I am not having any of these issues at all, my wifi connects, my battery doesn't drain like crazy, and my Pandora sounds like I am in a concert hall!!
Were you rooted before the update? Have you tried factory reset?
nope i was never rooted. i dunno, i search around the interwebs and it seems the things i am mentioning are common occurances to froyo.
however, none of these have an answer of why it happens in the first place, besides the streaming audio part.
its funny how for the past month or so that people have reported these problems to google, they do not even give it the customary "taking it seriously" line.
so has no one noticed their locally stored music sounds flat also?? this is the one part that intrigues me since that was how i first noticed the music quality suffered.
my music sounds fine with froyo :\ however i am on a custom rom not stock froyo. Also have no wifi problems and battery so far is on par with 2.1 (was hoping for a big increase in life but oh well least it doesnt seem worse to me)

Looks like for me the initial battery drain was because Market was syncing the apps. Go to Market, menu, downloads - do you see all your apps, or just paid apps? If you only see paid apps there may be some kind of sync going on between the actual installed apps and the market service. I had a lot of apps, so it took almost a day for all apps to show up. Once they did, the battery was about the same as with 2.1.
Also Market was slow throughout the "syncing period" as well.
Pandora does have two settings now, high or regular quality. After I updated to 2.2 and used it for the first time, it sounded like crap. Checked settings and it was set to the lower quality output to conserve data/power etc. I switched to the high quality and it's been back to normal.
hahaha what version are you running 2.1 2.2 cause for me i get better sound with low quality over the headphone jack then i did with high quality.
for the op i noticed a big increase in battery life with froyo maybe do a factory reset or start removing certain apps maybe remove your task killer
this sucks man
maybe this is the cause
http://www.droid-life.com/2010/08/05/new-facebook-update-is-draining-batteries/
i do not think it is the facebook app, i dont use facebook.
the main source of my battery woes is that suspend process, i saw a few posts about it, but it seems like either there is no solution or it just happens to us unlucky few so no one cares.
just out of curiosity, if you were to use systempanel and look at the percentage of that process, what are your values? my phone was on for like 6-7 hrs and i got like 2hrs of cpu time on this process.
the wifi thing is very well reported in about every forum out there and the single point failure has been the update to froyo.
the audio issue is still a mystery to me because everyone else has issues when it comes to streaming, however i also get it with local mp3's.
i am starting to extremely dislike the qc of googles product. it does not seem to be a sense integration issue, so the fault lies in froyo it seems.
Pandora / Streaming Audio fix
tinyurl.com/33cmqbt
that is only for rooted phones
We don't have this issue in CyanogenMod...
that may be the case.
correct me if I am wrong but that is not possibilityfor people who did not root beforehand
I for one have noticed a slight decline in battery performance with froyo. What I've noticed is that I have a lot of apps opening in the background that somehow are not getting closed by autostarts or autokiller. I may have just not targetted every instance where they're triggered to open in the background but this was not happening in 2.1.
Facebook 1.3 definitely caused a huge battery decline for me. After I turned off notifications in the facebook settings the battery went back to normal. It's causing partial wake time, which is killing the battery. According to the android app facebook page they are working on fixing it.
i thought i read somewhere that froyo is not working with task killers and stuff like that? correct me if i am wrong
ok so another observation based on a suggestion from another forum.
when i look at the systempanel app for my cpu usage. i will never drop below 500.
some have stated that they use setcpu for force it under and it will not.
this still has nothing to do with my crazy suspend process chugging along, but it doesnt help my battery life any either

Personally, I think that everything that's at fault isn't Googles code, but porting that code to different hardware then what it was designed for (Nexus one).

So I am reading the tips and tricks article - GREAT article by the way! - and I come upon the note stating to not use task killer (shown below in bold).
SHOULD I USE A TASK KILLER?
Absolutely not. You have the best OS and one of the best spec'd phones ever. You would be doing more harm than good. If you do have one, uninstall, reboot and let me know what you think!
In addition, even Google at Google I/O 2010 addressed app developers and asked them to no longer include "quit" or "close" as options within their apps. I think Andronica (another great android site) summed it up well with their article, found here.
XDA user iunlock created a thread with some good debate based off this sticky. You can read all the thoughts by clicking here. In short, the overwhelming majority agreed and some have commented on seeing an increase in performance after deleting their task killers. Awesome job guys.
That having been said, I went a day. Sure, it ran smooth, but my battery life stunk.
I'd like to hear from other users on the pros/cons of using a task manager on your Vibrant. Not trying to start a flame war, just wanting to hear thoughts other than my own (and the little voices that come from the ear piece of the phone )
Personally I am completely for it, as long as you are not killing off critical processes or apps that you use on a regular basis. Bottom line here - know what you're doing.
Feedback please?
I had the exact opposite reaction after getting rid of the task manager, battery life increased.
I kept ATK, battery life improved with it. If i play games and then hit the Home button which i always do. it stays running in background and kills the battery. Didnt really notice much of an impact with performance but my battery life increased
I use task manager. people can say what they want, but lowmemorykiller is designed to kill apps when the system needs memory. our phones have a lot of memory so they are capable of keeping so many apps open, if no one believes me download a task killer and just open it up to see how many apps are really running on your phone, its ridiculous, especially if you still have the bloatware. I don't necessarily use it because my phone bogs down from so many apps (that reason was back in the day with my g1) i do it because theoretically your battery life should go up. What's worse, a task killer running, or the last 20 apps you've used? All I know is my phone runs fine, smooth, and has battery life that I really cant complain about. It's hard to really tell what is correct though, I mean theres's hundreds of posts about the gps on our phone and mine launches up, finds my exact location within 30 seconds, and navigates perfectly. Got mine the day it came out, so ive really never worried about what other people have said, i just find out for myself. try both and see what you observe to be best.
I own(ed) a G1, Google Ion, myTouch, CLIQ, Behold II, Nexus One, myTouch Slide, GARMINfone, and Samsung Vibrant.
I have never used a task killer / manager on any of them and have never experienced lag on any of them.
My battery has also lasted from wake (9am) to bed (im usually in the bed by 11pm, sleep comes much later) on all of them and that includes at least 2 hours of stereo Bluetooth music. WiFi, GPS and Sync on all day. Bluetooth and brightness are managed as needed.
I'm no developer, but I have flashed my fair share of roms, and run plenty of tests. I don't know what is best, but I do know that they are NOT NECESSARY. Are they helpful or useful to you? Possibly. If you want to use one, have fun. I see no reason for me to start now...
EDIT: I also play a fair bit of SNESoid, GENSoid, and now PSX4droid....
Also, I don't have a car charger or office charger. I only charge overnight.
If you have to use a charger during the day, you blew it.
Task Mangers slow my phone down more. I don't use them.

I know, read. I referenced that in the first line. It's a low memory killer, my phone still has 100mb of memory available even with 15-20 apps open. I'd rather have those tasks not running if i've finished with them. Plus apps also reopen periodically by themselves, auto-kill on a 3rd party task killer will kill this as soon as the phone is sleeping, the build in task killer will not.

There's no way your g1 ever lasted 14 hours, let alone consistently with that usage. Either that or you dont understand how some of us use our phones. The only reason this must be such a debated topic is because there truly isn't much of a difference. Will your phone have a weeks worth of battery life with one? No. Without one? No. Users preference I suppose, but before i deleted bloatware, my telenav and slacker radio were always open and i honestly never even opened them to even check them out.

People will give all sorts of anecdotal evidence one way or another about this topic. Just keep in mind that anecdotal evidence won't answer the question. It's not a simple yes/no question either.
Here's the deal. *IF* you have errant tasks that are causing partial wake issues (running too much or too often when the phone is supposedly asleep), those applications will be the culprit for your bad battery life.
These are not likely to be core tasks of the OS, or OS bundled bloatware either...but they can be. When I had my Behold II and was running ADW.Launcher, for instance, I had to use a task manager to keep parts of Touchwiz from waking up and complaining about the UI not being front-and-center. And the reason WHY I used a task manager was a simple one. It was a core data task of the embedded software that could not be REMOVED.
The best solution to partial wake issues is to identify the tasks that are causing them, and GET RID OF THAT APP. In my very specific case above I was unable to do so, so a task killer had value.
The reason why task managers can be a very bad idea are legion. The Android OS runs a lot of interdependant tasks, and killing one seemingly innocuous task can and often will start a domino effect with other tasks that rely on them. It can even cause other dependant apps to eat 100% of cpu time during sleep cycles or at other times, and make your battery life mysteriously go to hell.
So far on this Vibrant, I've found no core tasks causing partial wake issues. Third party apps and widgets however, I've found quite a few that "wake up" and cause partial wake issues (i.e. they are spending too much time working and running when the phone is in "sleep" mode). Pure Messenger Widget being one of the nastiest I've tried lately.
What do I recommend? Use the built in battery statistics, and install the market app "Spare Parts". This combination will give you the ability to glean useful information about exactly what is running and what it's doing. There are other tools and whitelist managers that you could employ as well, but this is enough for me.
And even if you are running task managers and killers, you should be using the above to know whether what you are doing is a complete waste of time or even making matters worse.
When left to its own devices, Android 2.1 does a remarkably good job managing tasks and memory, PROVIDING THAT 3RD PARTY APPS ARE BEHAVING. Since we all run a very different set of 3rd party applications and widgets, it's no wonder that people are having battery life issues (great, bad, not so bad, etc..) all over the map.
I use Advanced Task Manager Pro and I love it. The close-all widget is great because it closes everything except what you have told it not to kill, and it kills itself to that is not running down your battery either.

I don't know what to tell you other than it did.
I am a pretty heavy user, but I do have fantastic coverage and work in a bright environment so brightness stays down. SetCPU works wonders.
I tested my Vibrant today. Came off the charger at 5:30am. It's now 10pm & my phone is freaking out for juice. I think my G1 could match this.
I'm constantly pulling from Gmail & Exchange (usually on Edge - poor reception in the office). I used GPS for about 10 min on the way home. Once home I started wifi. I turned it off an hour ago to play a few rounds of Let's Golf.
That's not terrible for such a badass smart phone, I think.

I personally will only have a task manager installed for when I'm working on my game / app projects, as to make sure they properly close when exited or to kill them if something goes wrong (neverending looping media), so I don't have to reboot the phone.
I was using atk before my last factory reset. I've decided against it now though. I've also decided not to use any more web apps when I have a perfectly good browser. Just seems like a waste of resources to me and my phone is much quicker without them. That and launcher pro have made this feel like a different phone. I think the combination makes atk unnecessary.
If I decide to keep this phone I'll reroot and clean out all the crapware. I'd prefer to keep this phone well-maintained like my computer sip that a task killer would be mostly unnecessary.
I am currently running ViperROM(DK28) version 3.0.3. I followed all of the instructions for fixing GPS on 2.2 and then flashed to this ROM.
Whenever I remove the DRM services I notice 2 strange things that happen:
1. Quadrant is not able to complete, it gets stuck on the first test at the Video Decoding.
2. I'm unable to select a new ringtone notification in handcent, when I press OK for my selection it hangs and I have to FC it.
The reason I want to remove the DRM services is that it appears to negatively affect battery life. I notice an improvement when they are removed. If I restore the DRM services everything starts working good again.
Any ideas?
I wont flame you,but this has been discussed plenty, search please...Anyway,you cant remove any of the 3 without losing some funcionaliy. So the only thing you can do is disable the one that runs at boot, not uninstall.I have tried this tip that orked for a day, once you have a fresh rom installed, play some music, watch a ripped movie, change a ringtone and notification, then remove all 3 services with sdx app removal or any other method you like. But like I said this will not work for more then 2 days at most

You're not the only one running into this issue.
I ended up rooting my Epic to get rid of all the sprint bloatware and what-not. Everything seemed to be going smooth from the stock standpoint. I removed Samsung Media hub first. Rebooted the phone and noticed nothing bad. Played around with the setup like that for a few days with no problems.
I next got rid of both the DRM service .apk's that were still running even after I got rid of the media hub... and then the problems started. For the first couple days I noticed DRAMATICALLY IMPROVED battery life and EXTRAORDINARY performance so I imagined what I did was a good thing: WRONG! A few days later, I noticed that if I assigned a sound to a notification or a ringtone *from the SD card*, that it would not work. I couldn't play sounds anymore and instead whenever I went to adjust the volume with said notes/tones selected, the Sound_service would crash.
However, I'm the only person I knew before now who has reported this issue so I'm sure there's not a lot of hubob to fix it. Every Epic is built different. Same parts or not. It's a mass-manufactured phone and each one will have its own quirks. There's my 2 cents.
I just froze the apps when I rooted with Titanium Backup but I thought I did something wrong and figured out that sound from apps seems to trigger the software crashes. No point if fixing it now. Flash DI18 and get the EC05 update and/or get EB13.

So can anyone confirm that the EC05 fixes the DRM issue? Otherwise there's no point in upgrading. I saw the release thread on here. Hecka people already having problems with the EC05. To upgrade for the Sprint ID packs? Won't see me do it...
Just let it do its thing. The amount of functonality you lose removing it is not worth the minute amount of battery life you'll save.

I have to disagree about the amount of battery life I'm saving being minute. When I had this damned DRM service running, I maybe got 10-12 hours with moderate usage. Without it running and now with SRF1.0.2 running (gets rid of IQ), plus SetCPU to (clocking 200-400 when screen off, undervolting 1.0-1.2 during usage) I'm getting a good 20 hours with heavy usage or I can go 2 days without charging if I only use texting.
I do actually remember getting a good bit more battery from deleting the DRM but at the end of the day I'd rather have my music files and apps work properly. I'm used to keeping a charger on me, its just the nature of owning a smart phone.
Yeah I'm with you on that one. Hopefully this will be one challenge [ACS] will be up to digging into.
I just tried stopping it in the running services menu and tested it on a few things with no issues. Doesn't take more than 15 seconds. I'll probably start incorporating it in to my TWS/Airplane mode routine (which just happens to need around 15 seconds supposedly) whenever I reboot.
That's what alot of other people have been saying too. I guess that's what I have to do.
Some threads on SDX about this say you can use some killers to stop it at bootup (personally I've always hated killers since Android 2.0, you don't need them anymore). As long as the .apk and .odex's are there. It's only when you uninstall or freeze it that you start to run into problems 1-3 days down the line.
I use Startup Auditor and it only kills it briefly. I've read all the arguments against Task Killer but I'm still a fan of it. Its especially useful to see what programs start up on their own and I do notice better performance after killing the ones that have no business being open. For everything else I just set it to ignore them.
My Evo battery is draining at a rate that is all together too fast. I took it off the charger about 3.5 hours ago and it has drained about 30-40%. I have not made a call nor used the net at all save for the receipt of 3-4 emails. I had a rooted phone but I reset the phone back to complete unrooted stock. I have not even so much as installed an app. What can I do about this?
turn off your mobile data when not in use. This will save tremendous amounts of battery.
if you search the forums you should find countless threads on battery and how to find out what is draining your battery and to extend life.
not sure why you would unroot unless you were exchanging it at sprint store but it greatly limits what you can do to help prevent battery drain. If you dont want to mess with much jsut use a rooted stock rom and it is pretty much the same thing as being unrooted but you keep the extra rooted benefits.
your best bet on non rooted device make sure mobile data, 4g, auto orientation, bluetooth etc are turned off. do the HTC battery condition/charge trick. and turn off background sync.
my suggestion is to re root and look into undervolted kernels and many other battery saving tricks found using search!
hopefully it helps some.
I had the same problem OP.
Turns out my radios weren't update.
Head over to the developer section and download the newest radios and stuff.
I've seen significant improvement of my battery life by using Collin_ph Battery Tweak 1 that was offered by Myn's when I flashed his/her's rom. I had my BF take his Evo to work after he come home complaining that the charge would only last about an hour or two and behold, he got through the whole day without having to charge his battery. This is after listening to music at work for 8 hours also. I HIGHLY recommend this tweak for ROOTED PHONES as I and everyone else I've recommended loves their Evo now and have no complaints...I'm at work right now and I'm at 79% and when I usually get home the battery is either still green (full) or orange (med) charge. I'm not sure if this tweak can be used with other mods but I'm very happy with this tweak as it has made my phone perfect now~~
Could be a Rogue app running killing your battery or radios not updated like stated above.
I recently started having the same issue. Advice such as turning of data and the GPS aren't helpful since the device functioned fine with GPS and data on before. Also if the battery was draining at a slower rate on the current radio before, you shouldn't need to update it, should you?
Seems that either something is making the Evo use more juice than it was before or that the battery is not holding the same capacity it used to. For some reason Phone Idle and Cell Standby have been using quite a bit more juice than they used to.
I don't like some of the software mentioned to try and locate anything that could be using more juice since those programs seem to use quite a bit themselves. Either way, what could be doing it that would come up as Phone Idle or Cell Standby in the included battery monitor? Wouldn't anything else come up under Android System?
The battery draining that quickly is not normal even with background sync, GPS (idle), 4g, data, or anything else on. There is another issue which must be solved. To troubleshoot so far I've tried another battery (same thing happens) and now I'm trying with everything turned off. If I can isolate what was causing my sudden rapid battery drain, I'll update everyone. This just started a couple nights ago for me. I think I'm on the latest radio, but I'll check.
Last post sums up my problem perfectly. I have an extended battery that lasts half the time it has over the last 4 months. Started with the radio updates. running myk
Use the battery usage functions of 'spareparts' to determine what's consuming cpu or preventing the phone from sleeping.
Can't fix the problem until you've isolated what's at fault.
Turning off mobile data will indeed fix a problem of some app trying to access the network, but it won't solve the actual cause.

I think juice defender does this automatically when the screen is off.
In the case of my phone, and I believe the OP's, we don't have any rogue apps or things running in the background. I know this phone like the back of my hand. I have completely uninstalled unnecessary apps like facebook, twitter, all things like news and weather are on manual update, i don't keep 4g or gps on, and I use wifi at home. I turn off 3g in terrible reception areas. I'm not a new user who doesn't understand the basic ways to save a little battery. I'm pretty sure the OP isn't either by his post. I use my phone the same every day. My chinese extended battery would last me easily from morning to bedtime with 20 to 30 percent to spare. Now I can't get near that after the radio updates. Since it's been well known that something is weird with these current updates, I've downgraded to 1.77 to see if that helps. My phone was sleeping fine though, so I don't know how much it will help. Always some BS with this phone.

if you are having trouble after a radio update, just try some of these other radios and see if that helps
Your best bet would be to root your phone again and give one of the SBC kernels a shot. I'm running CM 6.1.2 along with Zendroid 1.1.0 BFS AVS SBC and I can easily get 16+ hours with HEAVY use. And when I say heavy use, I mean hundreds of sms, dozens of calls and lots of websurfing. You will love the SBC kernels. Give it a try.
PS. My name is HondaCop and I approve this message.
We can offer suggestions until we're blue in the face.
First off, the OP needs to provide specifics of what's installed on the device, including rom, kernel, radio, etc, not to mention the hardware version itself.
Assuming it's not the known pri /rom conflict, then determination needs to be made as to what's actually consuming cpu - see first sentence above.
Need to use a systematic approach to troubleshoot this, otherwise it's a waste of time.

That sounds like a very weak cellular signal is forcing the radio to keep searching for it, draining the battery very quickly.
One way to somewhat alleviate this problem is to force roaming, to connect to a provider with a better signal.
"Roam Control" app does this (Market).

Actually,
some android users looked at the posting date, saw that the op hasn't updated in over 24 hours, wanted to complain about it, decided against it, posted quickly the most useful idea they had.
All that while doing real science.
We don't have a thread yet discussing things that we like/don't like about the update to EC05. I am quite certain that Sprint ID will be a hot topic here, but we don't need to limit it to that.
What do you like and what don't you like? What has been fixed and what has not been fixed?
Personally, I am enjoying the Sprint ID because of some additional ringtones and wallpapers. The launcher works much like the stock Android launcher with the exception of the iD button replacing the browser button. I always activate the internet from an icon in a home screen anyways.
I have also noticed that the GPS seems to be very strong and accurate!!
In call volume seems to be louder (to me) as well.
I would probably enjoy Sprint ID if I could get any apps to show up in the app drawer for me. It's empty forcing me to stick with Touchwiz.
It seems to be much more stable. Gps works great. I've had no 3g data issues. No FCs, minus the xda app. I had to remove one bloatware file to get my adfree hosts file updated due to the /system partition having no memory left. The browser still has checkerboarding, but that's a minor thing for me, and the keyboard still does its thing. Otherwise a really good running stock ROM for me.
I did put launcher pro back on though. I've gotten too used to it.
Hardware keyboard sucks even more than it did before, which is impressive.
There's no longer a separate silent and vibrate ringer setting.
Those two are basically a killer. I guess I'll keep DI18 forever. :\
Orientation is slow as molasses. The terminal emulator yamaha_sensorcalibutil hack doesn't help at all. Will play with for a few days and probably go back to DI18 if i can't find a fix for orientation issue.

It is amazing that they could make the keyboard worse isn't it? As for the silent option, that's been gone since the first froyo beta. Not sure why they got rid of it.. it was a nice feature. :-/

Ok I have only been using it for about 10 minutes but I immediately tested the few things that I knew existed on EB13 for me.
1. Camera sports mode fixed
2. Video recording in low light fixed
3. Compass being screwed up fixed
4. 3g speeds faster for me
5. overall speed seems faster
6. Physical keyboard isn't missing keys for me DISCLAIMER: I am not a speed typer. I have only used the keyboard a few times since owning the Epic. However on EB13, and before, I could produce the letter skips pretty easily. Especially on double leTTers. I tested by typing 100 words as fast as I could and I did not have a single letter miss. But I did have a few spelling errors
Only two problems that I know of which I don't really care that much about
1. Browser checkerboarding
2. Playing audio from flash content over the web to bluetooth headphones stutters badly. Flash audio out of the speakers work fine. Had this problem on EB13 also.
If I run into anything else I will let you know.

My orientation and compass are flawless. I will keep an eye on it though to make sure I don't find a problem because I have only used it for about 20 minutes now.
So far, everything is running very smoothly and appears to be more responsive than my stock DI18. The only issue I have seen thus far is I disabled my Wi-Fi to look at the SprintID packs (you can only view these when using the data connection) and when I went to re-enable the Wi-Fi, I received an error. This corrected itself after I turned off my data (holding the power button and selecting the new data option) and then back on.
EDIT: Tried the BlueTooth, which worked great; However, when I turned it off and went to watch a YouTube video, the sound was only coming through the phones speaker and not the main speaker. It only started working again after a reboot. I believe I saw this in a thread a while back. Anyone else experiencing this yet?

Everything but the TWS bug has been fixed. Browser still checkerboards but not as bad.
3G and Gps have been vastly improved as well.
Overall its a very good update. Even Sprint ID is a pleasant surprise.

Sprint Id is a pleasant surprise to me too. I like the ESPN id with its wallpaper, ringtones and icons.
For those using sprint id, do you notice any performance or battery problems from using it? That is the main reason I am avoiding it. Wanted to wait until more data came in to see what peoples opinions were. If people could throw up some screen shots showing some differences that would be nice.

Nice Job
the orientation is amazing
seems as snappy as a custom ROM for me
but i did remove all sprints crap.
Any-who im waiting on a RC cm7 to be my daily ROM
until the nexus s 4g is released then i may jump on-that since its pure Google.
or its ported to the epic.
but overall Sammy did pretty good this time around.

Try the upside down calibration. I did it and rebootd and.my phones orientation is very fast. Hold the phone upside down against a counter and go into settings and hit calibrate

Actually, its still there. You just have to change it in the settings every time you want to change from vibrate to silent.

Seems generally good. No lag, most of the bugs fixed, only the TWS bug remains (which seems to be in the AOSP Android code, not created by Samsung). It's too early to tell but it seems that battery life may be average at best. I've been on Stock EB13 with Genocide 0.4a kernel (which is an OC/UV kernel) and I got used to 24+ hours battery life, I don't think I'll see that with full stock EC05.
The battery life has gotten significantly worst with EC05. The drain when the screen is off is significantly more. There is a lot of lag, even with calibrating upside down, with the screen orientation. I have the same set up as I did with stock EB and the camera fix and the battery life was a lot better. I may go back to that.
The good for me:
1- 3g speeds the best yet, had 1.3Mb down and 700k up while driving.
2- Everything seems much smoother and faster. I wiped my stock sd card before flashing ec05 and my sd tools results are better.
3- GPS and orientation speeds are flawless. (removed Sprint bloat)
4- Modem in general seems fixed. My wifi doesn't drop out every 10 minutes like it did on eb13, and I can stream radio on tunein radio again without it buffering every minute or so.
5- Sprint ID. It's more options and stuff for us to choose from. Some may hate that, but at least it's actually useful bloat from Sprint that I didn't remove.
Still haven't found an issue after several hours of use.

I would give it a little time to judge the battery life on the update. I am pretty sure your usage has changed a bit due to the update brining something new and all the re-setup you probably had to do. In regards to lag - I have zero issues with that, it seems nice and fast to me - install spare parts from market and put animations to fast to get it even smoother. My GPS locked instantly inside my house which never happened before on any ROM (stock or custom). Screen rotation speed can be fixed by doing the yamaha calibration trick (need to root for that though) - I had to do this with every ROM including EB13 Samsung flash. I understand that to each his own, but I am definitely liking this update. They did a good job and now that I resolved my exchange server issue, I am really liking it. Good job Sprint/Sammy!
I still have the BT issue as the EB13,I have a Jabra A2DP headset,it doesn't see my headset after i turn it on,I had to turn off & on bt on the phone again for it to see my bt headset,I had this exact problem on EB13 but not DI18,sometimes no matter what i did,it just not seeing my bt headset anymore, had to delete and re-pair it again, very frustrating, beside this,i have no issues w/EC05.
Hai,
Since nobody bothered to answer my call to track down what drains the battery I decided to just post my findings and you do with it whatever you like...
In recent couple of months I've been experiencing quite nice battery life, almost a week on standby, which is basically on par with original LG ROM. The trick is simple:
It's happening as long as the Gallery app is NOT running.
I don't know what this piece of software does but when it's loaded to memory it stays in there and ignores attempts to terminate it, doesn't sleep when phone wants to and eats battery in a matter of single day. Unfortunately it seems some other apps use it directly or indirectly, like when Wi-Fi starts and/or by Market for example. Thus my solution is just to force close the Gallery after I finish activities which seem to require it.
I don't know whether root of the problem is with the app itself (like, CM modifications made so it's more cool, at the price) or it's just something else unearthed by certain SwiftDroid's configuration. To anyone who wishes to furher investigate my sincerest good luck. And I'd be grateful if results were published too.

Are you joking? Should i use my phone as a doorstop,or what else?
EDIT: And,an old trick: when an app stays opened,to prevent it to reload again you have to delete his user data (works with Maps and Gmail too)

You do with your phone what it damned pleases you. In case you haven't noticed the battery life is most often reported as either standby time or call time. In my typical usage battery lasts no less than two or three days but what 'typical usage' means may mean totally different things to me and to you.

Hm, even more shotgun approach to what I described. Having user data could be the primary reason for keeping the app installed. But thanks for tip anyway, may come handy one day.
There is gr8 app on xda, better batery state. With this app you can see what aplication keep wake lock, use cpu, gps, etc...
