Hey does anyone have the proxy working on their My Touch? For the life of me I can't get it working on the My Touch but it works on other phones.
Here is what I am using
Menu->Settings->Wireless Controls->Mobile Networks->Access Point Names->T-Mobile US
I input the following settings:
Name: T-Mobile US
APN: wap.voicestream.com
proxy: 216.155.165.050
port: 8080
Username: Not set
Password: Not set
Server: Not set
MMSC: unchanged from original (http://mms.msg.eng.t-mobile.com/mms/wapenc)
MMS Proxy: 216.155.165.050
MMS Port: 8080
MMC: unchanged (for me it was 310, I believe it is based on your location)
MNC: unchanged (for me it was 260, I believe it is based on your location)
APN type: Not set
T-Mobile is starting to use your IMEI to determine to "correct" internet package for users. Not sure, but it might be the problem. You can check your account to see if maybe they removed the feature.
t-zone hack wont work on mytouch t-mobile will know what phone you are on with in a few hours and will send you to the web to go not aloud on this phone page i had to change plans to the $24 plan but i made sure i could go back to t-zone $5.99 plan good thing because i am sell my mytouch and wait for the new high power android phones coming out in the next few month
yup Android phones only work with Android data packages.
That's interesting. I'm doing this with AT&T. I wonder if my Roger's IMEI will register on Tmobile...
I think they can pull up any HTC IMEIs, but it's just a guess.
yeah,
i got unlocked htc my touch and it was working with my t-zones for less than a day and then i got message that i have to get $25 plan. Also, I did hard reset and i could not pass start screen with t-zones. I purchased $25 internet for my wife, used her sim card to sign-in and after that my t-zones were not working already. =((((
Is t-zones working with HTC Hero?
Hope I would be able to use android with this cheap mobile internet...
I'm trying to find an android phone that can work with web2go since paying $25 for edge is ridiculous, I've been searching for hours now and no luck, will an European version or any non-t mobile android phone work with the web2go? has any one actually tested it recently?
I have an htc hd2 that has energy on rom. and Android 2.2 froyostone on SD card.
When I launch Android from the SD card it runs smooth and I can make phone calls and send txts but I can only access the Internet using WIFI
When i turn off Wifi I get a "network error" Tmobile has 3 data plans
Smartphones
Androd
Black Berry
I have of course the Smartphone data plan. and it works fine when I use the phone in Windows mobile mode but when I launch Android I can not connect
1.-DO I have to have an Android plan to use the andrroid? Is there a way to work this around
2.- Is there an app that will allow me to use The Smartphones Data plan with the android
3.- Is there a way I can use the android plan on WM6.5 if I switch to it?
I have the same problem and I can't download or send MMS.

Turn wifi off to send/recieve mms.
I am having the same problem and settings are correct. Just says "ERROR". Any suggestions?
Just wanted to point out that these are the correct APN settings that allow access to EDGE, 3G, and HSPA networks.
The information was originally provided by a T-Mobile tech on another website.
Others that are listed in the forums allow 3G and HSPA, but not EDGE.
Tmo is full of it, check your apn
I rarely post or reply but this is a subject that I've been dealing with for a while. I'm a former suncom customer with a grandfathered plan and every time I try to go for an upgrade or call with a issue the first response I get is it's my plan. Dont let Tmo sucker you into a more expensive plan. I used to unlock and flash cell phones for a living. Now I do it for myself and close friends/ family. I've had a at least one of each of the following on my plan and working perfectly... blackberry storm 1, tour, curve unlocked and bold. I've also had the mytouch 3g, g1, nuron, lg secret, and I currently use a HD2 dual booting winmo and android. I change almost daily and the only time I'm not able to receive internet or text is when my apn settings aren't correct. I bought my first HD2 outright and when I was availible for upgrade they tried to tell me it wouldn't work on my plan (unlimited net and tether for blackberry) after I told the rep to check my account and they saw I had been using one for three months I left the rep, the reps supervisor, and a tech speechless and they gave me my HD2 free of charge for the trouble. This was when they were $150.

I added a new APN called "My APN" and selected that instead on the default TMO APN. Other then not having 3G coverage in my area, my data connection works fine. There is a conflict occassionally if you have the WiFi up and running and try sending/recieving texts w/pic or large files. Simply turn off the WiFi. Hope this helps.
I've tried SEVERAL different APN settings for T-Mobile US and none have worked...
Until I came across yours. Everything is working great now. The only problem I had before was MMS, they work great.
Thank you so much for the info
I would like to ad as well that T-Mobile WILL NOT give you the APN settings. I fought tooth and nail yesterday with a rep but he refused to tell me what the settings where suppose to be.

Well, I was trying to fix my apn settings on my sgs2 import because I was not getting mms messages and I used the "Reset to default" feature in the apn menu. I got three new apn settings that replaced the ones I had put in manually. The new ones are: ATT PHONE, ATT WAP, and BROADBAND. The settings seem to match the ones that are commonly sited for AT&T "4g" phones. So my guess is that AT&T recognized something new about my phone and gave me the "new" sgs2 settings. I used to get the Cingular 410 settings. Everything is working fine now.
You may want to just try Reset to default. I have the new AT&T "4g" sim and I am in the DC area just for reference.

To anybody on a grandfathered unlimited plan or the data for non-Smart Phones plan don't do this. I did, and like the OP said, it overlayed new default settings. These setting don't work unless you're on a 4G data plan. I lost all data connectivity afterward. I deleted the new (now the default) APN settings and replaced them with a new APN I had to create with the orignal settings. I'm also guessing for this to have happened that AT&T now recognizes the international SGS2 as a 4G phone running on their network. Otherwise, why would the default APN settings suddenly change? I hope this doesn't mean the end of the (almost) free ride we've been getting. So any APN settings posted from the AT&T version of the phone will be useless unless you're being billed for an official 4G plan.

Just to clarify, I have the grandfathered unlimited data plan, have a 4g sim and had my account changed to the use the 4G SOC code : HSDPPB. So in my case unlimited data and 4g are not mutually exclusive. I am getting the same speeds (6mbs - 8mbs) as I was when I manually entered the recommended setting from the "fix your apn" thread but now my mms is working.
I am not recommending anyone do it or not do it, just sharing my experience.

Anyone on a 4G plan, no matter how they got there, would benefit from the new APN. Anyone on a 3G plan will lose data connectivity. I get up to 8MB down in a fake-4G area using the Cingular 410 APN on a 3G plan. I get 3MB down at home in an area that's not been upgraded.
APN Settings for 3g on AT&T
Hi everyone. I added a new APN using the settings that BarryH_GEG posted. I had just bought the SGS2 I9100 off eBay. It was bought at a great price. Now, when I had put in my Sim card, it was not recognizing the data network. Weird because it showed my Sim contacts and my Sim and Network info in the About the Phone section in Settings. Because of this forum, it now reads my Sim along with the 3G ATT network. I was starting to get pissed, then realized it was just the APN settings. Now everything works great. Best phone I have ever owned. Thanks again BarryH_GEG for the settings info..

For those trying to getthe i9100 ICS XXLPB AT&T settings
After reading many threads, stretching my Google-fu to the limit, flashing many modems, and spending an hour on the phone with AT$T Tech support, I found a solution and will try to pay it forward.
First roll back to XXKPA modem.
Then create two APNs.
The first:
(Enter only the listed values. Leave all other fields at their default values. )
Name: AT&T
APN: wap.cingular
Proxy: wireless.cingular.com
Port: 80
MMSC: mmsc.cingular.com
MMS Proxy: wireless.cingular.com
MMS Port: 80
APN Protocol: IPv4/IPV6
APN Type: default,supl,fota,dun
***SAVE!***
Then create the second:
Name: Broadband
APN: Phone
APN Protocol: IPv4
***SAVE!***
Select the radio button for Broadband APN.
Enable and then disable Airplane Mode.
Then you will see the 3g/H+ icons flashing and you are done!

The APN depends on the type of DATA (3G/4G) that is provisioned (SOC) on each individual's account.
1) wap.cingular is the correct APN if your account is provisioned for 3G DATA
2) phone is the correct APN if your account is provisioned for 4G DATA
With regards to the 3G/H/H+ icon that depends on the cell site and not the APN configured on the phone. With GSM technology, the phone tells the cell site this is what I am capable of and the cell site tells the phone what it is capable of and then the phone utilizes the best possible option.
As an example, if the cell site is upgraded to HSPA+ the phone will display H+, if the cell site is only capable of UMTS it would display 3G.
Dan
Here is a thread I started a while back that discusses my findings with APNs on AT&T...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1413458
Basically, the pta apn worked best and you have to be on the LTE data plan and have an LTE sim to use it. More information is in the thread I posted.
I know I originally posted this in another thread as a response, but for the sake of making things easier to find for new folks coming here, I thought I'd consolidate your one-stop-shop for getting your unlocked, unbranded, Galaxy Note N7000 working properly on AT&T.
To get your Note fully functional, and running optimally on AT&T, it's not quite as simple as just popping your SIM card in and off you go...
The three basic things you need to do are as follows:
1. Make sure you have the correct account provisioning.
2. Configure and use the correct APN('s).
3. Disable Fast Dormancy.*
*Some people have been reporting better device performance (speed and battery life) with Fast Dormancy left turned on. This appears to be geographically significant. Since there currently isn't a way to see whether or not AT&T is using this feature in your area, it may be worth trying your device for a day with the feature disabled, and comparing the performance to what it's like enabled. Go with whatever seems to work best for you in your area.
I'll cover these in more detail below, but first of all I need to clarify something: the Note supports 21mbit HSPA+, which if you want to call that 4G, OK fine. HSPA+ is an evolution of UMTS (a 3rd generation mobile technology) kinda like how EDGE is an evolution of GPRS (a 2nd generation mobile technology). LTE is a truly 4th generation mobile technology which is completely different from the previous generations from ground up. Even though HSPA+ is not truly a 4th generation technology like LTE, AT&T is still marketing it as "4G." Personally I try to avoid marketing catch-phrases like "3G" and "4G" altogether, so henceforth, and to avoid confusion, I shall refer to the Note's mobile connectivity by what it actually is: HSPA+
Now, before you're able to fully take advantage of HSPA+, you'll need to make sure that your account is properly provisioned for that feature, otherwise you'll run into a virtual speed limit which will keep your device from reaching its full speed potential. So, in order to check that you have the correct provisioning on your account, you should call in to customer service and make sure you're on a proper 4G plan. Ask them if you have the correct SOC code. In my case (grandfathered unlimited data user), my SOC code should be "LTEDPPB." If you're on a tiered plan, it'll be something else. Either way, you need to be on a 4G plan of some sort.
"Ok, how do I do that then?"
Easy. Go to you local store and get the IMEI from a similar Samsung device (from a connectivity standpoint anyway), like an Infuse 4G, or a Galaxy S2, or even AT&T's own Note. From the dialer, enter in *#06#, and the IMEI should show up. Make a note of that number (hehehe). You can probably find another IMEI on the internet, too, but either way you need that. When you call in to AT&T customer support, just tell the rep that you've upgraded your device to a *insert name of device from which you got the IMEI* that you bought on eBay or something, and you want to make sure that you're on the correct plan. Provide them that IMEI, and now your account should be provisioned for HSPA+ (YAY! WOO!).
<UPDATE> (for folks still on "unlimited" plans):
Since AT&T has started throttling grandfathered "unlimited" data users, they have finally clarified at what threshold they would slow you down. If you're on an HSPA+ unlimited plan (SOC code HSDPPB), they will slow you down once you reach 3GB of data in a billing period. However, if you are provisioned for an LTE unlimited data plan (SOC code LTEDPPB), then they won't bother you until you hit 5GB instead of 3! You will still be able to connect to HSPA just fine. So if you want to take advantage of getting 5GB of unrestricted, un-throttled data instead of 3, then use the IMEI from an AT&T Note for the account provisioning process described above. Also, it should be noted that this only applies to people who are grandfathered into a $30/month smartphone data plan (or equivalent, such as iPhone unlimited, Blackberry unlimited, etc.); $15/month "feature phone" unlimited plans are not eligible for unlimited data if you want to upgrade to a proper 4G smartphone plan. However, the former should still be able retain their unlimited data if they stick to their current plan and use the wap.cingular APN settings below... at least until AT&T somehow figures out that you're using a smartphone...
</UPDATE>
Now that that's out of the way, you need to configure your APN or APN's if you're using more than one (this only usually applies if you're grandfathered into an older plan). Go to Settings => Wireless and network => Mobile networks => Access Point Names. From here, tap the menu button and select "New APN."
Populate the fields as follows (Case sensitive!):
Name: Doesn't matter, you can call this whatever you want.
APN: Phone
Proxy: <not set>
Port: <not set>
Username: <not set>
Password: <not set>
Server: <not set>
MMSC: http://mmsc.mobile.att.net
MMS Proxy: proxy.mobile.att.net
MMS port: 80
MCC: 310
MNC: 410
Authentication type: <none set>
APN type: internet
This next APN will only work if you are provisioned for LTE as described earlier:
Name: Doesn't matter, you can call this whatever you want.
APN: pta
Proxy: <not set>
Port: <not set>
Username: <not set>
Password: <not set>
Server: <not set>
MMSC: http://mmsc.mobile.att.net
MMS Proxy: proxy.mobile.att.net
MMS port: 80
MCC: 310
MNC: 410
Authentication type: <none set>
APN type: internet
The APN info above is for achieving the highest possible speeds over HSPA+
The next APN generally offers slower data speeds, but depending on your area may not be any different in terms of speed after all. This is the old legacy Cingular APN. GoPhone users should use these settings.
Name: Doesn't matter, you can call this whatever you want.
APN: wap.cingular
Proxy: <not set>
Port: <not set>
Username: <not set>
Password: <not set>
Server: <not set>
MMSC: http://mmsc.cingular.com
MMS Proxy: wireless.cingular.com
MMS port: 80
MCC: 310
MNC: 410
Authentication type: <none set>
APN type: internet
So now you have your APN's set up for data, now you need to set them up for MMS. This is easy; just duplicate the APN's above, but under APN type, set it to MMS. Of course, if you know which MMS proxy works for you, you can just set your APN type to internet + MMS.
<UPDATE>
I have been seeing a lot of posts about people having trouble with MMS. If you're having MMS problems, first read the previous paragraph very carefully...
Done?
Good!
Now you should have two identical APN's, with exception of the APN type being internet on one, and MMS on the other. If you are still having trouble sending and receiving MMS, try using the wap.cingular APN settings for your MMS APN instead, and set the APN type for that to MMS instead of internet. If you are already using the wap.cingular APN for data, then you can actually just use that APN for everything by setting it to internet + MMS under the APN type.
</UPDATE>
Congratulations! You should have now successfully set up both your account and your APN's properly for making your Note fully functional on AT&T! You should now at the very least be able to get onto the internet and browse etc. Pat yourself on the back!
But wait! There's more!
You still have to disable a feature on your Note called Fast Dormancy. Fortunately, this is really quick and easy to do. But first, what the hell is that, and why do I have to disable it? Well without getting all technical, simply put, it's a feature which allows a device to very quickly switch from an idle data state to UMTS/HSPA/HSPA+ and back to idle again, and generally work more efficiently, thus improving performance, and saving battery life. Problem is, in order for this feature to work, BOTH the device and the network that device is on need to support it. Unfortunately, AT&T does not currently support Fast Dormancy. As a result, by having fast dormancy enabled on your device, it'll have the complete opposite effect than what it was intended to have. Basically, your battery life will suck more, data connections will be erratic, slow, and unreliable, and you're effectively wasting data overhead on a feature that, for AT&T, just doesn't exist. Disable it, and your Note will fly like it was intended.
To disable Fast Dormancy, from your dialer, enter in *#*#9900#*#*
This should pull up your SysDump menu. There, close to the bottom it should indicate your current Fast Dormancy state, enabled by default. Select that option, and it should indicate that Fast Dormancy is disabled. Exit and enjoy! Reboot the phone for good measure though. You generally don't have to, but sometimes it irons out any issues that may arise.
Hope this all helps! Enjoy your Note on AT&T!!

Interesting. My MMS works just fine with the mmsc.cingular.com. Out of curiosity, what's the SOC code on your account plan?
I come from the Motorola Atrix 4g plan on my sim card.
Only the proxy "wireless.cingular.com" setting works for me as far as sending and receiving mms pictures..
the other proxy wouldnt send or receive.. ie:
mmsc.cingular.com -nor- proxy.mobile.att.net.
thank you for this guide!
Well, the wap.cingular APN works on my Note, but for some reason the Phone APN does not. Don't know why though.
Perhaps it's because I'm using my Note as a GoPhone?

Possibly. Then again, the GoPhone plans won't get you the fastest possible data speeds anyway. Probably why only the older/legacy APN works for you. It's the trade-off you pay for still getting unlimited everything for $50 a month with no commitments. Not a bad deal all things considered!
Great job on the post!!
How about the new apn that Att uses for their LTE devices? (pta)
I've noticed that the apn (Phone) and pta get about the same data speed and at times i have noticed pta get faster. I one area using pta on my note i got 10.7mbps which is the fastest I have ever seen hspa+ go.
What's your opinion or fact about this?

Unnecessary. The PTA APN falls back to the exact same equipment and subnet as the Phone APN anyway. If you can demonstrate that the PTA APN consistently gets higher speeds than Phone under the same conditions, then maybe I'll revise my tutorial to include that as well.
Thanks for this guide Jade Eyed Wolf.
I have a question..
Just got off the phone with 611 at$t and they said that my
"provisioned" SOC code is HSSMT7....
Now I am under the 2 gig plan @ HSPA+ 4g supposedly..
On my icon on the Note and Atrix I do get the H+ with the arrows.. ABOUT 50% of the time..
Then slips to 3G.. then back to H+..
back and forth even within the same house or building..
BUT mosttly... it's only 3g...
Is there something I can do to make it more HSPA+ MOST of the time?
thannk you
I took my sim from my iPhone 4s with 4GB Enterprise + Tether...any thoughts? I get 3G/H+ on the data Icon...but I've been able to pull down 7mbps in Atlanta (College Park).

Something that you need to understand is that 3G, H, and H+ are all forms of indicating connection levels of UMTS. UMTS is completely different from traditional GSM in the sense that it is not a TDMA based technology, rather it is a flavour of CDMA, specifically WCDMA (the W stands for wideband).
So, HSPA, HSDPA, HSUPA, and HSPA+ all fall into the UMTS category of WCDMA.
Now, most modern devices are smart enough to know when to dynamically scale up (or down) their available technology based on the user's demand and network availability. So, for instance, when your device is in an idle state, and you're not doing something requiring data usage, such as using the browser, the device will scale back to basic UMTS (3G). When you do start doing something data intensive, like streaming music or video, or loading a web page, the device will then scale up to the highest available technology depending on the network's capabilities. So if you're in a cell where the tower supports HSPA+, your Note should scale up to HSPA+ then (H+). However, sometimes the tower may not support this, and hence your device will only scale up to HSDPA or HSUPA instead (H).
This is all normal.
Basically, don't think of your signal indicator as a way of knowing what kind of technology is available, rather think about it as a way of telling what technology your device is actually using, in real-time.

I recommend changing your account's SOC code only for the sake of consistency, and because of the fact that AT&T can see that you're no longer using an iPhone with a plan specifically designed for that device. Thus, they may either change your plan automatically anyway, or you may run into service issues. By calling in to customer support, you're just being proactive in this process, and possibly avoiding headache down the road.
Now, having said that, 7mbit down in the middle of an urban environment seems pretty normal to me actually. There are many factors to consider when it comes to the actual usable bandwidth you'll see, and it can vary quite a lot depending on those factors.
For instance, something to consider is the difference between connection speed, and user throughput. Lemme explain:
Connection speed simply indicates what the device is able to process in total at any given moment, including things like overhead. So, in other words, even though the Note has a maximum possible connection speed of 21mbit on the downlink, you're very unlikely to actually see 21mbit of usable bandwidth because that figure also accounts for the aforementioned overhead. Maybe, under the most ideal conditions, you could theoretically see a maximum of 18mbit of usable downlink (I'm just pulling this number out of thin air mind you) because the remaining 3mbit is reserved for things like protocol encapsulation, error correction, re-transmission attempts, etc.
Another thing to consider is the difference between signal strength versus signal quality; they aren't the same! You could have a very strong, but also very poor quality signal in the middle of a city, and still get lower performance than, say, a very weak but very high quality signal out in a sparse rural area.
Being in an urban environment, you'll likely have many more buildings which create echo's and reflections, and also you'll likely have many other devices nearby which are all broadcasting signals of their own, thus creating signal interference. Those all reduce the signal quality. Error correction kicks in more often, re-transmission attempts rise, your data overhead goes up, and thus your usable bandwidth goes down.
Finally, for each cell tower, you are one out of possibly hundreds users all competing for the same connection. Imagine your home WiFi for a moment. Everyone connected to your WiFi in your home is sharing a single connection to the internet. Thus, there may be a noticeable dip in performance when someone starts playing an online game, or streaming a video, or downloading a really big file, etc. Each cell is kinda like that, but on a much larger scale. Basically, each cell has a limited amount of bandwidth it can use for providing service to the people connected to it. This is the network's backhaul. Some cells have more backhaul than others. Either way though, the more people connected to a particular cell, the less backhaul there is to go around. So, being in a city, where there are more users per cell than in a rural environment, the less backhaul there is for you to use.
So, the next time you decide to watch YouTube on your Note, take a moment to imagine all the extremely complex things that are happening in the background to make sure you enjoy your video! It is a truly wonder piece of technology that you're holding in the palm of your hand!
Hope this has been informative!
this is one of the best post I have found. its made a CONSIDERABLE difference on my battery life even with a custom rom. THANK YOU
You're welcome
Thanks Just fix in the way you point and do a speed test the download speed increase about 1 to 1.3 mbps but upload stay the same

I think AT&T caps the upload speeds anyway.
IEMI
Hi everyone! Just got my Note yesterday but didn't have time to play with it until last night. I have an iPhone 3gs from AT&T and this guide is great but does anyone have a IEMI we can use to call AT&T with? I'm not sure if asking/posting here is against forum rules. Will they give me any hassle when I give them the IEMI?
Got my P6800 today...
I've read here (and elsewhere online) that I could simply use my current AT&T SIM (unlimited grandfathered data plan with iPhone 3gs) and as long as I don't go crazy with BW, it should go unnoticed.
So I did (just for a couple of minutes to make sure it works), and a few hours later I got a text msg and an email from AT&T suggesting that I call them to get "an appropriate" data plan.
So it looks like they flag a tablet right away and not based on usage. When I signed up (before the age of tablets) I don't remember them specifying anything that prevents me from switching but I'm sure it's somewhere in the fine print.
I'm not a heavy data user but I don't want to give the unlimited plan unless I have to. Would be happy to hear some thoughts an recommendations on how to handle it.
Thanks
O
P.S
the 7.7 is awesome. just sux that AT&T ruined my happy day with that email :-(
Have they actually throttled your speeds? I'm not your lawyer, but you could just ignore it for the time being.
Past experience
I had the same experience last year with the Tab 7.0, with phone capabilities. I had an unlimited plan with old iPhone. I had to switch to I believe 4G per month, plus tethering cost about $10.00 more, once I did, never a concern or a problem since. It is their way to eliminate all unlimited plans.
At least that was my experience. I believe when it occurred when folks got the 7.0 w/phone (European version and custom ROM) if you don't respond, soon your data will be cutoff, so then you have to call or pull Sim card. May not be true today, but it was last year, happened to me.
What APN were you using..? Was this from an iphone 3g,3gs,4,4s..? If im correct when you get an iphone 4s the account is provisioned for hspa+. I am using a sim from an iphone 4 and have yet to receive a message. So it seems strange.. ive had my tab for a few weeks already...

Greedy bastards, thank god the merger didn't go through. I can imagine how many people will jump ship once the T-Mobile - att roaming agreement goes through and all those iphone users join T-Mobile
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
Been using ATT Prepaid for about 2 weeks and no problem with that.
mine is a 3gs iphone. Not pre paid card.
Dont think they changed anything. The email said i need to call them to get a suitable plan.
I dont stream and never passed 2g on my iphone so i should be ok with a 3-4 g plan but it still feels like a rip off.
I doubt ignoring it will make it go away. Im just wondering if there is any chance of arguing about it and win...

Try adding an APN named Broadband with APN Broadband (leave all other settings as default).
Broadband is the APN for the ipad.. i think if they are auditing that APN he would get flagged for sure as his device in the database should be an iphone.

So, would it be possible to add whatever APN is used for the original iPhone 3gs and (maybe) bypass their flag?
I'm using the Broadband APN with the SIM from my LTE hotspot and I've received no warnings from AT&T. Now, it is a business account so maybe I've got some leeway.
Your on the radar already to a degree so i cant say for sure but the wap.cingular apn would be the one you need... Just verify the settings below because i am going off my head....

So far, I guess I've been lucky. The most I've received is a warning that I'm in the top 5% of data users, and that I might be throttled. I have a little more than a week left in my billing period and I'm currently at just over 4gb of usage.
What pisses me off is i pay a couple hundred a month for 2 unlimited voice & data sims and 2 unlimited data sims.. you would think they would want the business. But they seem to be hell bent on the unlimited user witch hunt..

Looks like the APN is already set to wap.cingular (attached)
I wonder what made them flag me right away. Oh well...
It could be the UNLIMITED DATA plan... It would make sense they audit UNLIMITED DATA accounts to make sure you don't "change devices" so the minute the IMEI is changed its sends an alert and an SMS is dispatched to you.. i am just speculating.. i havent tried my UNLIMITED DATA sim in my 7.7 as i keep it in my Galaxy Nexus, but i'm going to try next week and see..
I've had my ATT SIM in my 7.7 several different times making calls, texts and using lots of data and haven't got the text/email yet...
is it an iPhone unlimited SIM?
can you post your APN settings?
Thanks

Yeah that was going to be my next question too. If you were on just a smartphone unlimited plan, I suppose you should be ok. That's what I'm on and I haven't run into any issues (yet), apart from supposedly being throttled for being in the top 5%, but that's not the same I don't think.
P.S. I just called in to customer service, and apparently, based on my IMEI, they know that I'm using an "unlocked Samsung GT-P6800," but this has not affected my account in any way at this time. I am still on a smartphone unlimited plan, and thus far I haven't been throttled (yet).
Interesting...
Just spent an hour on the phone with AT&T until some manager put me on hold for more than half an hour (on purpose?) to check the price of the 3gb plan
For now I told them to keep me on the unlimited plan (will keep using the iPhone) until I decide what to do.
Since the 7.7 will only work on AT&T, I guess I don't have many options...
Not a big fan of AT&T at the moment...
