Incredible Roms - Droid Incredible General

I would like to start a table to keep all of the active roms in development organized, I'm having a hard time keeping track of them.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/index.php?title=HTC_Incredible/ROMs
I started it with Skyraider since I am currently running that. If anyone else can edit onto this I think it might be useful.

Here's a list of some http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=739428

Thanks, I will try and compile a list tonight or tomorrow. Hopefully people can help fill in the details I can't find.

nice
very nice, lets keep that going!!!!

Ok I updated it a good amount, i will try to populate more of it tomorrow but I would really appreciate if any of you get a chance to fill in some information especially the version numbers if you are running the roms.

I am personally still running stock 2.1 rooted w/ hydra kernel so I wouldn't be too much help in gaining info on latest running roms, however http://incredibleroms.com/roms/ has a list of roms that is fairly updated and includes some info. I would rip info right from the site, but I don't know how happy they'd be about it or how accurate it'd necessarily be (just a good place to find inc rom info). jdfroyo is not on the list for a reason (the account that user was using is currently banned on these forums... there are some trust issues at stake).

goood stuffff!!!!

Can someone move this to the front page? This was VERY helpful to me and I still like checking for anything new from time to time.

I personally am using one from Adrynalyne and I love it. It strips a lot of Sense stuff so I get much better battery life from it. I also have the stock OTA leak from late July so I need to redo that one to the one from August.
Something I installed and I think it was Adrynalyne's ROM changed my Hboot and until it I could unroot now I can't but no big deal for now.
I would like to edit the Wiki to include it but I don't know if he has posted it here and I don't know if he would appreciate me including it there. If I get a wild hair I might message him and see if he would mind if it is ok to update it with a ROM from a member here that may or may not have posted the ROM here. Wow this may get to complicated for me to mess with actually.

CDMA Sprint Hero: Rooted, ROM'd... now what?

Hey all,
I posted this same thread on another forum but it's not as active as this one so I'm posting here for better results. Anyways, I did a hell of a lot of googling on all sorts of random things, and after hours and hours of trial and error just to get my damn Windows 7 to recognize the Hero, I was well on my way to rooting. After I had rooted my phone, I, by default, ended up going with the MoDaCo 2.0 ROM core update. I just recently downloaded the extension update, and basically I'm just kinda sitting here, thinking to myself, "Now what?" I guess my real question is, what exactly have I done? I understand that rooting the phone basically puts in a free-to-use-however-you-want sort of sense, and the custom ROM gives you better performance and more to offer than the factory Hero ROM, but seeing so many posts of all sorts of people doing this and that and the other thing on their phones, I feel like I'm missing out on the what-to-do-next memo. If anyone has any good advice for a new Android user to look forward and almost like a guide on Things You Should Do After You've Rooted and Installed MoDaCo 2.0, I'd appreciate it.
As for apps. I currently have, use, and enjoy these (any other recommendations?):
Ak Notepad
Astro File Manager
Spare Parts
TasKiller
Twidroid
Also looking for the consolidated power settings widget I see randomly everywhere. It's so bad ass looking and convenient but I can't seem to find it anywhere. I know Beautiful Widgets had it but HTC sent them a C&D so it got taken down.
Another thing. This stuff I read about being able to get apps that aren't normally in Market after you root, what's up with that? And which ones of these are must-haves?
Haha I apologize beforehand for this thread having so many questions but to consolidate it all to one question, what exactly should I do now that my phone is rooted and loaded with custom rom 2.0, and what are some must-haves and must-knows for a noob looking to eventually become a pro at this stuff?
I just rooted my phone a while ago
So far I've loaded fresh ROM 1.1
found some sweet themes to change stuff
I recommend you go to this website: www[.]geekfor.me (no .com) and check out the pre-kitchen v 0.2. it allows you to easily run command line stuff from a really really easy to use GUI
he's also got a few themes and stuff to download
the customization is about the most useful thing I've found from root. apparently there are some good tethering apps and stuff, but I've never really gotten them to work
Thanks I appreciate that. I'm gonna check some of that stuff out. Can anyone guide me in the direction of a good beginner's guide to ap2sd and do I need to install a radio update or something after I've installed the ROM? Or is that just for GSM? I'm having trouble finding a good collection of beginners guides on google for this stuff so I apologize if all my questions can be answered by other threads in this forum.

First I would say read everyhting you can in this forum. I have learned a lot about my phone just by reading the treads.
second and I cant belive no one said this yet. DO NOT I repeat DO NOT do anything with the radio. as far as I know flashing the radio is the only way found so far to totally brick this phone.
apps2sd is automatic with modaco's rom as long as your sd card is partitioned for it.
must have apps are really something that is subjective. I just googled best android apps and got a ton of info to go through and found a few apps that I really wanted or thaat I just thought where cool.
good luck and happy moding

Need your thoughts...

So I'm somewhat of a noob. I currently have Damage Control 3.2.3 rooted etc...
I am wondering if I should get a different rom ever since this whole Froyo thing. I am basically looking for something to really help w/ battery life, and some eye candy. So far DC has been doing pretty damn well, I just want to know if something else is out there. Hulu would be a plus as well. Anyone have any suggestions on where to look with all the new roms coming out? It is a bit confusing to a less than tech savy guy who doesn't care about performance that much. Thanks in advance.
P.S., I tried searching, and found a bunch of random scattered advice, hence why I am posting this. If this has been answered, and you know off the top of your head where to look, help a brotha out. Thanks fella's.
Try Damage Control 3.5
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA App
If your used to Damage Control then I suggest trying damage control 3.5 also. It's the version of froyo and is a pretty decent rom. In my personal opinion its not "up to par" per say with 3.2 roms but its still good.
Once you get a little more comfortable you can try flashing other roms like Cyanogens or what not. There are a ton of great ones to try out and its really easy to flash.
just remember to flash the new wimax and radio when initially flashing a froyo rom.
Thanks, ill try installing cyanogen and see how that goes

Update regarding ultimate rom

Ok so I got about 4 pages of hate from loads of trolls gathering on one thread just because I forgot to add credits which I know is something unacceptable but still after adding them I still got hate (i think their blind as well), so I removed the rom forgetting some people really liked it and want it. After removing I got 4 PMS to bring the rom back so I will start a new thread tomorrow morning for the rom, trolls not allowed

There was no hate, you used the work of minimum 10 people, who spent a lot of time in things "your rom" is based on. Maybe you should read your posts again and rethink. You are full of anger at the moment, please calm down and accept your fault. Yes, you spent time by yourself. But if everybody behaves like you at the moment, we can carry xda to it's grave. Consider that.
And finally, keep working, keep learning, keep mention other devs.
It wasn't about trolls&hate.. it was about you wanting credit for making a nice rom but not giving any credit to the people who facilitated what you made.
Doc's rom wasn't just something that just magically appeared through thin air, it took him time and effort, same with hardcore's kernel, sztupy's ultk, supercurio's colour and brightness fix, tayutama's extended menu.. and whoever else you 'borrowed' stuff from.
Next time i hope you are clear about what you have done i.e. themed doc's rom and added some stuff (be specific). The good thing about Doc's rom is that he makes it so it's highly customisable, nice and clean, so people can add what they want.
I can understand that you thought it was good to make it easier for people to use your themes, no one can fault you for that. I think it would have been better for you to make your changes to a stock rom and then learn about all the changes that those other guys made and add them bit by bit much in the same way as other roms developed.. but you took the easy way and borrowed their work without asking if you could or even crediting them for their hard work.
I guess you will know better next time.

Agreed.
All everyone is saying is that you should have credited the devs who created the main stuff, cause i looked at your thread and i know you mean good for the community, but it looked like a mashup of Axura's ROM with others on the board.
Just mention names next time, non of this emotional XDA stuff will happen
Hi. Downloaded ultimate rom. really like it, but I am having one problem. The accelerometer is off. Left tilt is down, down tilt is left. Really messing up my games, and the screen rotate is frustrating. Tried searching, but couldn't find anything. Am I missing something?
Edit: I an also unable to get any games or videos and music to play sounds....
Okay. Got it figured out. Dl'd the captivate ported version. Works great now.

Best 2.2 ROM

I am looking to flash a 2.2 rom but don't know which one is the best, can someone tell me which is the best and why they think it is. Also in order to flash do I just have to wipe and flash or is there something more that I need to do to go from DI18 to DK17?
Sent from my SPH-D700 using Tapatalk
Bar none, go with Quantun1.5, stable, quick, clean, and good battery.

I'm gonna go with epic experience 2.0. Its way smooth and stable.
It's really up to you. Everyone phone handles things differently

lol i'll take a crack at that even though i'm new here and am still learning my way around.
There are several froyo roms out there right now for the epic; you can read about them in the developer's forum. Then, you should do a little bit of research - such as reading the beginning of posts about rom releases, and then maybe the last few pages, looking for other people's comments about fc's and the like. That will allow you to pick a rom that isn't too beta (that is, will be fairly stable). Or you could pick an unstable rom if that's what you want to play with - it's an open source Android device, baby! Warranty voided of course. Always do a nandroid backup first of course.
Everyone:"Of course!"
What's 'best' for me may not be what's 'best' for you. However, without saying that it's better than any other stable and smooth froyo ROM, I'm currently using VIPERrom DK17 2.6 (haven't tried anything higher yet) with some of my visual/audio mods (changed boot screen and sound, changed shutdown sound, using a battery mod). As I said, I find this rom to be stable and quick but I'm not touting one functional ROM over another - it works well for me right now as a stable, quick froyo rom. Also it didn't have a bunch of stuff I didn't want like sprint bloatware, so that was nice.
To use this rom, as the developer himself states on the first post of his thread, "YOU NEED TO DOWNLOAD THE DK17 MODEM AND PIT TO USE THIS ROM!!" For the extremely literal out there, you must ALSO flash your epic with those files after you download them.
The developer, BThomas22x, has kindly included links to the files you'd need on his posting, which you should check out along with the postings from other developers.
I don't really have the experience here to say it without feeling a tad jerkish, but the xda forum is a developer's forum so you should probably be willing to do a little research on your own.
I know this because I'm still posting questions in the wrong places and the like
So a little looking around in the Android Development forum would show you this wiki. That's also a good place to start.
I have been doing my homework and I have seen the wiki, that is why I am now using the Syndicate ROM 1.0.2 DI18 with eXtreme kernel 1.2 and the emotionless beast theme. I just wanted to know peoples opinions as to why they like one froyo ROM over another so that when I choose to flash one I have a basis to judge my decision. Thanks, all your input is very helpful. Anyone else like a particular froyo ROM for one reason or anotherM

Quantum 1.5 fo sho
Each rom has their own features to each their own.
Ran viper for a few days, but switched to EE for now.
I'm new to the android fam as of today. But the stock version seems to do what i need it to do. I just download skyfire free out of the market place and i can watch everything the froyo 2.2 flash player 10.1 can do. Or maybe im missing something? I need yal to get me up to speed whats the difference besides speed. And please don't chew me out for asking either.

Awesome Recent collection of EVO ROMs right here on XDA

Found a great compilation of a very recent and updated list of roms for the evo. Saves searching if ur lazy or in a crunch. Up to 7/10/11 as I post this.
http://alchemistar.blogspot.com/2010/10/htc-evo-4g-supersonic-custom-roms-list.html
I know a simple google search might get u the same place but ever since I becomes a flashaholic I can't get enough and unfortunately my favorite (deck gingerbread) has got me filled with errors now and wake lock galore (tried the fixes don't worry, even got a crazy combo of radios and pri etc) I've been shopping around and surprisingly I am actually enjoying MikG 2.15
I thought I would never return to Sense based ROMs but hey it's smooth, fast, and I don't have to tweak nonstop to get battery life and what not AND I don't need to flash another rom just to be able to get into dialer codes.
Thanks to alChemistar for organizing these. Love the android community Compared to my iPhone.
May the hunt continue for the most options, high performance, best battery and easy yet fun interface... I know I have high expectations. Thanks all and happy flashing and as I learned here the hard way... Unless ur a pro READ AT LEAST the OP's remarks on whatever rom in regards to ateps and wiping etc. Saves you and everyone here tons of time. I have yet to ask a question here because there really is everything and if you cant find it, especially if you have a backup .... Try to figure out yourself, more rewarding. Just don't go bricking your phone. And remember nandroid and wipe wipe wipe wipe wipe wipe...and one more wipe.
If this is a repost I apologize I did a quick search to avoid redundancy

Whoops damn iPad... MikG 2.15
I just flashd this last night half asleep because I have been getting destroyed by deck's 1.2.1 I should have relized considering the CM nightlies were bad for me (and deck is based off them) so I needed to do gpsclrx and fell asleep and in the morning said hey why not let's see what's going on so I honestly am probably super behind on rom's. I just rooted 2 months or so and quickly landed on deck and stuck to it with the occasinonal taste test but 90% AOSP. I actually just saw that my native hotspot is locked in mik so either I find a fix, wireless tether or move on so it a learning process for us all with a lot of mix and match, trial and error. Any sense or FULLPROOF stable AOSP recs would be appreciated.
P.S. Any unlisted links to ROMs for the EVO that Aren't in the link please do post with title and date of last release and I'll try to contact the original compiler or just post an update myself. I've been known to update the long forgotten evo 4g rom wiki
