Need Help with Manila 2D Customizer Problem

Hello,
Can someone help me? I installed Manila 2D v2.0 build 19191432.04 onto my HTC Vogue it works great!!! The problem is the Manila 2D customer will not apply any changes made. Are there any Registry tweaks I can do?

I'm what you would call a rookie at this but I found that if I selected the "FAVES" tab, for some reason my customizations would not take and M2D would keep rebooting. Try changing one thing at a time. Save it and see if it works. Then change another....rinse and repeat.

manila 2.5202525 - internet tab

i hope everybody can help me with my little problem.
i use manila htc sense 2.5202525 and i will change the internetglobe picture.
i think the picture is in a manila file, but i dont know, what manilafile.
anybody have a idea?

You can modify the file : 27c65cbd_manila , you can write the path of your pictures (unpressed and pressed) like it was done with manila 2.0 or 2.1....

thank you, but i use manila 2.5 202525 and here is it another place.
i found the solution.
i opening with cfc manila editor this files:
0eea1f69_manila
69344fb4_manila
and replace with my pictures 512x256 px
and after restart tf3d looks better
problem solved!

but how can i change the text "browser starten" in the tab???

have nobody an idea?

Adding quick links to Sense 2.5 cause sense to restart

Hi every one.
recently I came across a bug in my Wm6.5.xx rom with htc sense.2.5.
when i try to add a program short-cut to the home-tab quick-links, Htc-Sense restarts ,but i can add contacts or bookmarks without any problems.
any suggestion are welcomed.

This sounds really familiar! I am sure I ran across this one before...but cant remember what I did to fix it!!!
Anyhow, did you interchange any of the manila pkgs? Or using all the original pkgs together?

yup, it was a customized version for the rhodium.but NrgZ told that i must have the wrong version of icon-loader package in the rom.
im trying now.

With the last OOObe Rom packages on my HTC LEO ( HD2) , i have a little problem :
No notifications when i receive a sms.
Have you an idea please for this problem ?

I remember having this problem when I started out...dont really recall but I think I had included the bronze* and chome sys packages in the build....

You need those in a 6.5 ROM though... Maybe not the "bronze" CPR's but you definitely should not take out Chome.

My Windows Build is OK
The problem appear tyo comes form the HTC_Messaging 1.8 client
With the 1.5 client, there is no problem
Any idea ?

I have both CHome* and Bronze* packages removed and HTC_Messaging_Client v1.8 and I get notifications when receiving a SMS. What version of the Notifications package are you using? Also, what version of the 1.8 client are you using, and are you cooking with Manila (and any other mods on top of it)?

If 1.5 messaging client is working ok and 1.8 isn't why don't you compair registry of both app.reg in the packages?
Btw Pyrorob is making awsom messaging client modification, just a suggestion.

Another small tip.
If you know how to disable sms send notification you probably also know how to enable.
Have a look in the sticky Solved cases under 'E-Mail:/SMS:'.

[Q] Manila: editing 22e41977_manila (home layout) to see more calendar entries

Hi All,
I searched a lot but could not find a solution, so here's what I want to do: Manually editing the 22e41977_manila file to remove the RSS reader (allready done this one) and use the newly available space to display the next two calendar entries instead of just one. I know that CHT can do that but CHT slows my device down alot. So I want to edit the homescreen by my self and cook it in the ROM.
A similar question has been asked a while ago here, but with no really helpful answer.
AFAIK CHT also edits the responsible Manila file so some one allready needs to know that Do you guys have any hints?
I am using the latest (2021/2) Manila from OBOE BTW...Thanks alot already!

It will be good if we can have this working.
BTW: Default Manila home does display one entry from calender but only if that is NOT FULL Day appointment .

Sounds like your best bet would be to ask in the CHT thread. A lot of the people involved in that project are more than willing explain how certain aspects of the mod are accomplished. They have helped me in out in areas like this. Just a thought

Another Idea that just popped up in my mind: How about using the plain manila we have now, install CHT and modify the home layout according to this. Now backing up the respective manila file(s?) and uninstalling CHT. Afterwards replacing the manila file in the ROM or the kitchen. Could that work? Thoughts?

Manila files used in CHT are very complicated and tightly coupled so we cant use part of those files .
We can try to look into the files (responsible for this task) of CHT and figure that out... but that is not easy .
