I have ordered a HD2, should come in a couple days.
The "Sense UI" that HTC has layered above the regular WM 6.5 UI, is supposed to be "easier to use".
I believe I have read somewhere though, that it is possible to turn off the Sense UI, and just use the normal WM interface.
I am a long time WM user, having used PPCs and phones using WM 2003, WM5, and WM 6.1. I have preferred Today Screen applets, know how I like to configure WM, etc. So for me, I don't think the Sense UI would be "easier", but something new I would have to learn how to use, while I am already very familiar with the WM interface.
For those readers who were very used to WM before getting the HD2, how many have stuck with the Sense UI, and how many have set it to only use WM? Reasons for your choice?
Does the "Sense UI" have any benefits besides supposedly being "easier", eye candy, and the like? If so, what are they?
Any disadvantages to Sense? I assume it is using additional memory, so that would leave less memory available to apps, correct? Is it more prone to crashes, etc.?
Also, on looking at an HD2 in the store, there are many icons for things I have no interest in--a Blockbuster app, etc. With WinMo, I know how to remove programs, remove items from the start menu, etc. Is it easy to remove stuff like that from the Sense UI? How?
In general, I would like to hear from experienced WinMo users, who got the HD2, what they consider to be advantages and disadvantages of using "Sense UI", and how many have kept it, and how many have reverted to WinMo?
Thanks for your input.
Personally, I am quite likeing Sense. I come from a long line of both WM Professional and Standard devices, so I know and have used more than likely 5 different UI's in my time, and Sense is laregly indeed the easiest to use. I really liked Titanium....until I used Sense on the HD2.
If you have used TouchFLO in the past, then you have used Sense...and I can tell you, don't let the horrible sluggishness of TF make you instantly hate on Sense...I for one am converted. I HATED TF. Slow, buggy, hard to use TouchFLO. Sense fixes pretty much everything that sucked about TF.
Sense is actually VERY customizable. I personally use CoOkie's Home Tab 1.8.5(?) and it lets you customize nearly every part of the Sense experience. You can change the colors of items, the location, how many quick links, the clock style, the buttons on the ribbon...basically anything.
The links you mentioned(Blockbuster etc) can indeed be changed just by tapping and holding. You can make basically anything on your device a quick link on the homescreen through CHT.
As far as memory is concerned, the HD2 has an ample supply of RAM, usually around 280MB free upon boot, and disabling Sense doesn't really gain you all that much. If 476MB of RAM is not enough...well then something is wrong. As far as processing power is concerned, I do not really see a gain nor loss between Titanium/Today/Sense.
All in all, if you want to use Today plugins, then use the standard Today screen. If you want a UI that is a little easier to use one handed, then use Titanium or Sense.
Thanks for the reply, Ashasaur.
I have never used TouchFlo nor Titanium, but only regular WM. Therefore, comparisons with those other UIs mean nothing to me.
I would only like to know what advantages or disadvantages Sense UI might have compared to the regular WM 6.5 interface. (As I wrote, the latter would not be new to me, having used many WM devices, including 6.1.)
How does Sense make it easier to use the phone one-handed?
In the following thread, a user complains of many crashes with Sense:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=740367
Are many users experiencing that?
By the way, if I decide to revert to the WM interface, without Sense, how do I do that?
Ah, I see that I mis-read your OP. The main disadvantage that Sense has I suppose is expanability. You had mentioned about using Today screen plugins, and under Sense this is simply not possible, as it is also not possible under Titanium. They both use a different type of plugin. Plugins do indeed exist for Sense, but what those are and what kinds that exist I am not sure of.
To revert back to Sense is as easy, and more or less the same process as switching to the normal UI. Simply goto Start->Settings->Today->Items and uncheck "HTC Sense", then check "Windows Default" in order to use the regular WM Today screen. Simply reverse the process to go back to Sense.
As far as crashes are concerned, I won't lie...I have had several, but most have been from me doing something stupid. As far as Sense crashing on it's own, so far I have not had that happen.
In my opinion Sense makes one handed operation easier because it aggragates all your basic Today screen functions onto the ribbon. It's kind of hard to explain, but you can scroll through the entire ribbon within less than an inch of moving your finger. So basically, from the "home" tab of Sense, you could literally scroll your finger 3/8 of an inch and be at the "mail" tab to check email, then back 1/4 of an inch to "messages" to check SMS. It really is something that you need to experience for yourself in order to understand. Over scrolling will happen at first, but as you use the device you will learn just how far to scroll to get to just the right tab.

Now that I have my HD2, I don't see how this is possible.
Because--I don't see any Today listing in Settings on the HD2. (I know of that Today screen setting from the regular Windows Mobile settings. But Sense has its own settings, and does not include anything about Today Screens.
How can I get to that setting?????
You are right, Sense has it's own settings...which is the wrong place to look heh. You have to go through the way I listed. Start->SETTINGS(not Manilla Settings)->Today->Then the "Items" tab, then follow my directions. Now, depending on what version of the stock ROM you are running, the regular WM settings icon may not be available under the Start menu, but you can also get there by scrolling over to settings through Sense, then hit the right softkey and press "All Settings" to get to the same place.
EDIT-I may not have understood your post exactly right. You might not see the "Today" settings under settings on the stock ROM. You will need to apply a CAB that enables hidden settings to be shown, but I do not remember what this CAB is called, nor where I got it. All I remember is that it came from the "Apps and Themes" subforum of the Leo section.
Thanks again, Ashosaur.
I finally found that Today setting, after I found that "All Settings" Button, and I disabled the "Sense" today screen.
Only after doing that, and rebooting afterwards was I able to run Sprite Backup. It will install, but apparently not run at all, with Sense.
Even after doing that, removing the Sense today item, it is still not completely like Windows Mobile. Other settings are missing, for instance--the text size, color, and fonts, cleartype tuner, etc.
And you don't get a regular Windows Mobile Start Menu, but still that crazy Sense one.
Any way to get completely back like Win Mo?
I haven't completely given up on Sense either. Some nice things about it. Very buggy though. I've had to reset several times. As said, Sprite Backup, the industry leader in mobile backup software, newest version, would not start at all with Sense!
HTC should get its act together and fix the bugs!
The Start menu will always look like that. It's not Sense, it's WM 6.5. As far as I know its the only Start menu type available for 6.5.

You might try looking at a new ROM. Read through the tutorial in the forum your phone belongs to (T-MoUS or Euro) and it will tell you everything you need to know. Try a Miri ROM or an Energy ROM. Both work very smooth and much faster than stock. Stock ROM the phone came with is known to be slow and buggy. You shouldnt have to disable sense to install Sprite. Thats just an issue with your stock ROM. GL!
I'm using a T-Mobile HD2 with stock ROM. Its not proving buggy or problematic in any way. And I haven't had any crashes with Sense. BTW with sense to get at all settings you swipe right to get the Sense settings tab, tap the menu item at bottom right, and choose all settings.
I think BSB tweaks can also turn on the standard Win Mobile settings menu. Perhaps other aspects as well.

First of all, thanks a lot for the recommendation about CHT. The thread about that app really should be a sticky on this forum. It really is a must-have.
I disagree with your first sentence above, at least from what I have seen so far.
I didn't find Sense (without CHT) very customizable at all. Quite the contrary.
But adding CHT makes all the difference. Thanks for the recommendation.

I think what he means is that sense is able to be highly customized via tweaks and tools such as CHT and others...to be made to look and behave in ways that no other mobile UI could match. However, one that does come close to being as versatile is SPB Mobile Shell. It's a paid app with a free trial you can check out...some users consider it the only real alternative to Sense.

hello everyone ! I just got my Mogul about 2 days ago and im a freakin mess on trying to figure out how to use it. here are things i need your help with....
#1 how do i transfer my contacts onto my PC? I installed the program it came with but i cant figure out how to copy my contacts to my PC.
#2 I tried to upgrade my rom(i dont even know what rom is,lol) and before i updated the rom it read ROM VERSION 2.09.651.3 AND THE ROM DATE WAS 6/14/07. after the update was complete it still read the same thing !! And the mogul appeared to be slower, screens wouldnt open fast or shut down fast etc etc. (which rom should I use??)
#3 THE CUBE, I was checking out the cube for my mogul but i wasnt sure what the benifet was of useing this program...its looks a lot for user friendly and cooler then what the mogul has now....(how do I install the cube into my Mogul?)
#4 lastly, when my phone shuts off i have to push the power button to wake it up everytime...is there any way i can just touch the screen or push a face button to turn it back on?
any help would be awsome
stacy
anyone????????
I'd suggest you visit ppcgeeks.com titan forum. Many more titan users over there and there are several custom roms available.
As far as answering your questions....
1. Not sure, i don't use activesycn for anything other than transferring programs to by phone to install.
2. I've posted a few custom roms on the ppcgeeks ftp and have had numerous compliments. My most current rom is UTCG.2.2.2 and I think you'll be pleasantly surprised with it. I don't add in all the extra "crap" some one people do. I use a stable base rom and update some of the features as well as tweak it for performance. My most current ROM runs with ~28mb free ram and is very quick. EDIT: I will post link here shortly.
I'm assuming that you're new to the whole "flashing" thing so I'm uploading a complete file with the rom and flashing software in it right now. I'll update this thread with the direct link to download once it's done.
3. The real cube is not functional on the mogul. There are many hybrid cubes that other members have made. Some are Adobe Flash-Based programs and others are stand-alone programs. I like the idea of the Cube when i got my mogul just like you. But, after messing with it so much and realizing the amount of resources it uses I personally don't think it's worth it. It's just another "gimmick" to compete with the iPhone.
4. I'm not sure why you would want it to "wake-up" by tapping the screen but if this is a necessity than here's how to do it.
Tap "Start" on your mogul.
Tap "Settings"
Tap "System" Tab on the bottom
Tap the "Power" icon
Tap the "Advanced" Tab on the bottom
uncheck the box "On Battery Power: Turn off device if not used for ____"
That will keep the mogul from turning off. BUT, it will also kill your battery really quickly. Personally, i slide by mogul in and out of my pocket all day that it would be a problem if i had it activated by the screen.

I would highly recommend reading the Flashing Basic Guide over at PPCgeeks http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=9927 before attempting any of this.
There are a selection of ROMs available for different needs/tastes, and you'll also need to unlock your phone first (its all in the guide).
But, all this is only necessary if you'd like a customized ROM instead of the stock Sprint release. Most people feel that the custom ROMs perform better, but to be honest, if you don't know what a ROM is or why you want it custom, I'd just leave things as they are. As long as everything works for you, just leave well enough alone.
Now as far as your questions:
1) This is a basic PPC question and not Mogul specific. You need 2 programs installed to do this: Outlook to view/access/edit your personal information (comes on the disc) and Activesync to talk to your device and actually make sure to keep all info in sync (also comes on disc).
Each program will work without the other, but it won't sync your info unless both of them are installed and the device is plugged in.
2) The Sprint releases have bugs. There was an updated ROM (2.16) that caused more problems than it fixed, so they pulled it. Now we're back to 2.09, so that's why nothing changed. There are custom roms that combine the best "fixed bits" of all the releases so far, but don't do these unless you feel comfortable messing with it for now.
3) Cube is a fancy interface designed for the HTC Touch phone. Its supposed to make easy shortcuts for one-fingered use, and has some nifty scrolling 3D effect that they call a "cube" (even tho it has only 3 sides. I guess calling it the "extruded triangle" wouldn't have gone over as well). But, it only works on the touch, so some folks have tried to mimick it by writing their own application that looks just like it. Most of them don't work, or are too slow to be useable, only the real one on the actual device called the "touch" seems to be any good. Its still cute to show off. Not all that functional on the mogul, and I've tried many versions.
4) YES! There's a setting somewhere to wake up on power key only, or for any keypress. The screen touch thing would set it off WAAAY too easily and kill your battery as utexas said. I feel the same way about all the buttons since there are so many that accidentally get pressed when taking it and out of holsters. However, the options is there if you want it.
Good luck!
Your awsome !! could i ask you one more thing? when i want to make a phone call and i go to my contacts list all of my friends names are backwards...meaning that their last name is showin first and this is annoying because i not showing up as it used to in my old filp phone...should i download some sort of firmware to change my contact ist set up??

Contacts can only be listed by Name or Company. You can however edit the contact to change the way the contact is filed in the edit screen there is a field labeled "File as:" it's here that you can change the way the name is displayed in the contact list.
Came across this in my day to day surfing, looks pretty promising
http://www.larvalabs.com/product_pages/intelligent_home_screen.html
Looks pretty, but looks limiting on what it can show IMHO. Would far rather have the 7 Home screens I already have
Kind of reminds me of WinMo 6.5's new Today screen plugin, which is sorta pretty, but yes, very limiting compared to HTC's TouchFlo. I agree with JoeMax. It's pretty, but I would feel restricted. I'd much rather see MOTOBLUR make its way to HTC devices, thus bringing all the information to the today screen, while still allowing multiple home screens.
It does borrow from 6.5/Zune in its look.
Sometimes though I do crave a simpler home screen without having to swipe.
I like the simplicity behind it. Its information driven and maximizes the use of screen space to show stuff that matters (as opposed to an icon or fancy-smancy graphics ) I would definitely use this when it comes out.

They have posted info about the beta program for this app.
https://spreadsheets.google.com/viewform?formkey=dHlBNm5IYzlMYkJOam4tU2gxMWNJVnc6MA
I have had a try of this in beta form a few weeks ago, the concept is nice but it is very very buggy and wasnt very speedy either..
It does have some promise though
Good for communication junkies...for everything else it sucks.
it's good for those who don't need tons of their apps on homescreen
i have it on my hero (beta10 now), and it's very nice. fast in this version, not so many bugs, simple...
for me it's great. waitng for stable release
i don't like it, because its just a list and has no real structure, besides list sorting. I hated how wm 6.5 introduced something similar, just a text list. The most ugly text list i have ever seen was on wm 6.5...
I prefer a mixture of apps shortcuts and widgets like i'm having on my HTC Hero now. And a little bit spacing does help to get a better overview imo. On this list all the information is very cluttered together, but still somehow confusing because of the small font size and the lack of information on some rows.

i agree it looks like a cheap copy of titanium witch i dont like anyway lol
I've been playing around with it now for the last week & apart from a few little problems (It doesn't update itself with notifications dynamicly such as text messages, only periodically) I really like it.
It desperately needs to have a shortcuts function to my favourite applications & also to the wireless controls but other then that I think that this is a solid alternative to the typical widgets based interface that everyone is doing at the moment.
I see a lot of threads about Android.
I've never tried converting or even seen it in action but have a question.
How is Android better than Windows Mobile Professional?
Also how is it worse?
Or is it just different?
All I can say is 'try it to believe it.'
I can talk about it on and on, but you are not going to realize what you can get until you try it.

Its just better. Really.
Main thing for me, besides that its totally better, is that its finger based. No more silly stylus....
+1.
I just recently went all the way back to the stock sprint 6.1 rom just to see if I could ever live like that again. After spending an hour or so gathering cabs and tweaking everything just to get it to a comfortable state, I realized that all of the things I was trying to do are pretty much already done in even the most basic android builds.
It does come down to preference I suppose, but for me, just signing into my account upon booting android beats digging around for a WMMarketplace cab on a crippled IE browser, cumbersome setups for things like Windows Live, setting up and scheduling active sync, installing replacements for almost every default part of WM.
I really did love windows mobile for a long time. It's certainly one of -if not- the most customizable platforms. If you don't necessarily like how something works in WM, chances are you can do something about it. But that can take time. I was never really that interested in scripting out one of those huge uc files way back when.
The way everything works so well together in android without getting in your way is fantastic, but stop reading this and just trying it!

5. It has an app market!
These are pretty self explanatory, but I just love the notification system of Android. I was pleasantly surprised to see a weather alert appear in my notification bar after I downloaded the Weather.com app the other day. Everything appears there - including your appointments on your Google Calendar, texts, e-mails - everything. I think it's just great how it's all unified.

I installed it without any problems. Nice looking. Very clean interface.
But.... EVERY program that I tried, opened but had no way to back out. I had to soft reset each time. I tried 3 or 4 different things, and nothing let me go back to the main menu. Phone hard keys didn't do what they are supposed to do. After all it is a phone, the hard keys make it easy to call and hang up.
I guess I'm not patient enough to continue to experiment so I just deleted the file and am back to using Windows Mobile Pro 6.1.

Well..........after reading some of the replies I reinstalled Android.
Not to belabor the point but I still don't like it as much as Windows Mobile Pro 6.1.
I would be losing to many things I'm very pleased with for a change to a different operating system.
It's back off again, I'm staying with Windows Mobile Pro 6.1.
If I ever want Android I'll buy an Android phone.
I agree with you about Android, it's not something I would use, but that's just me.
I wouldn't go back to 6.1 though, I'll stay with 6.5.x, it's a lot more finger friendly. The UI graphics on Android is decade behind everybody else. I would need a microscope to see what's on there. That's why HTC developed its own UI. Knowing Google, they probably can make up that decade in a week, but for now its Winmo.
PS you might want to try one of the port/build with SenseUI.

I would love to be able to increase the font size on Android. I've play around with both 120 and 160 and different resolutions, but unable to increase the font size to something usable. Any help would be appreciated. I've been scouring the net reading up on Android and trying different builds (last one was eclair 2.0.1) because I was offered the Droid for Xmas. After all the readings and research, I turn down the offer in favor of the trusty old Vogue (being made by Motorola is another reason; every Motorola phones I got, I had to open them up and super glued everything down).
I do appreciate some pointers on increasing the font/widgets size on these test builds.

lol..huh? I have used Windows Mobile forever and cannot remember the last time I used the stylus...in fact, the only time I use it, is to reset the phone through the little hole.

I often got annoyed with certain apps I put in, certain games, or menus and just brought out the stylus.
Well, one thing you always have to keep in mind running Android on the Vogue, is that it is not native to the Vogue. So, there is always going to be little imperfections. I was so impressed by Android on the Vogue, that I bought a G1. So now I run WM6.5 on the Vogue, and Cyanogen's ROMs on my G1. I really will never go back to WM. The only reason I use it now is because I have a contract with Verizon that somebody else pay for. If you really want to be blown away by Android, go to a store and play with a native Android phone. I find content is way more accessible for Android. For an OS that has been out for a very small fraction of the time that WM has been out, it's incredible. Lol, I'm rambling now, point is, try a native Android phone if the Vogue port doesn't suit you. Don't give up on it too easily.
Hello
I am using NFSFAN latest rom on my vogue.Have not tried any android as yet.Honestly,I have not followed it atall. So I am a complete noob to android platform.
So can anybody point me where I can get all the guidanceThanks.
Wow! I don’t mean to sound patronizing but I am genuinely impressed by the quality of responses to this question. Someone actually dared to ask a question about comparing WM vs. Android and there wasn’t any of the typical flame war style responses. Thanks guys! Just one more reason why I like the XDA forums.
I have been looking for a clear and concise answer (or partial answer) on this exact topic myself. I was hoping to get a quantifiable “here’s why I like Android” or “here’s why I like WM” response and I finally found something in this discussion.
I find that a certain anti-Microsoft sentiment often clouds these discussions to the point where they are not useful.
I have been using WM for *years* and develop applications for it. I am also supporting over 50+ Windows Mobile-based devices in the enterprise (warehouse & sales force automation apps). So when people come out and say stuff like “WM is slow, bloated and buggy” I find it an unhelpful response. I just have to chalk their comments up to anti-Microsoft sentiment that is so popular these days.
From this discussion I have a partial conclusion. It seems that the main difference between WM and Android are from a “user experience” perspective. Both of them seem to be reliable robust platforms from an OS perspective. The problem is that the WM interface is dated and heavily stylus oriented. Microsoft’s response to this is to make things “bigger” but not to radically rethink the user interface.
Windows Mobile in its present form bears an uncanny resemblance to Pocket PC 2002. This was designed to compete (and win) against the then popular PalmOS.
Android represents a complete rethink from a user interface perspective. On top of that companies like HTC add their own stuff like SenseUI (on Android) and TouchFLO (on WM) that change the user experience some more. So sometimes that makes the discussion more about the phone manufacturer (HTC vs. Samsung for example) then about the platform itself.
Microsoft is in a tough spot with WM right now. There is a huge install base of mobile business apps running on industrialized PDA’s (stuff like the MC75, MC55, Intermec CN50, etc, etc). The Purolator guys use WM for proof-of-delivery. These types of apps are often custom developed, expensive and have long life cycles. They are not sexy but they get work done.
Radically rethinking the WM user interface would likely break a lot of these types of applications. Everyone knows when switching to Android that their existing WM apps will not run. But everyone expects their existing WM apps from 1998 to run unmodified on the latest version of WM (and surprisingly they often do).
So how does Microsoft keep WM dominant in the business sector while at the same time making it “exciting and sexy” in the rapidly changing consumer marketplace?
Tough spot indeed. I wonder what they will do. I do love the competition from Android (and iPhone) and expect to see cool stuff from WM in the future. I just hope it doesn’t break too many of my 10+ year old apps ;-)

The Fish

The Infinity v0.2.1 is apparently not compatible with WM6.5 very well, I even cannot set background picture for the desktop,so there must be some buttons missing.
Generally it looks very promising, compared to Touchflo 3D,it’s much more customizable, you can put any shortcuts and widgets in anywhere of the desktop, this is the feature millions are looking for;Compare to SPB Mobile Shell, the Infinity looks very similar but more agile and you can set everything neat and usable immediately.
Like SPB Mobile Shell, the Ageye Infinity let you do two most important things:
One,you put all your most important shortcuts and widgets on the desktop,NOTE any location of the desktop. While for Touchflo 3D,you basically cannot do much about the desktop, this sucks badly and I am suffercating every time I see Touchflo 3D.
Two,you put less important or less frequently used shortcuts in Favorite Folder (in SPB Mobile Shell,it’s called Launcher,in Infinity,it’s the middle button I saw when I tested it in my HTC Pro2 with WM6.5 rom).
As I didn’t see the Infinity Manual,it took me about 15 minutes to figure out how to use it, I should say it’s more or less close to SPB Mobile Shell when it comes to customization of desktop and Favorite Folder.
The difference is,for example, you want to place Contacts in the desktop, first you need to add “Shortcut” in the desktop, this Shortcut is an empty icon, then you click on this Shortcut icon to find the path of the Contacts.
If you are interested to try out Infinity v0.2.1,please download(probably need registration):
http://forum.ageye.de/viewtopic.php?f=57&t=1369
Install to your main memory, then in programs you can find a Infinity program icon, click to run.
Suggestions to developers:
1. how to set the background for desktop, the default background is not-so-good-looking,there is no button that can set this, please update based on WM6.5.
2. where is the general configuration? How to set Infinity to replace Today? How to change language? How to set the number of pages of desktop?
3. how to change the size of icons in the desktop? In SPB Mobile Shell,it got this feature, you can make the icon small, big, professional, transparent etc etc.
4. about the right and left soft key configuration,it seems that the option is very limited, can we assign any programs and widgets for the right and left soft key?
5. For Infinity own widgets, I suggest you to add Task Manager, this is most often used tool,In addition,if we can put this Task Manager in the right soft key, that will be very convenient! I saw SPB Mobile Shell has a great Task Manager widget, users can use Shell extension tool to put it beside the Launcher.
Looking forward to your great update soon!

Exactly! And it's already pretty amazing.
This UI seems to be alot like PointUI.. I dont know a lot about coding but it seems like a very early version of the same UI
I dont doubt that it is entirely different that's just my two cents from screen shots of Infinity.
Pointui you can use tons and tons of different themes and wigets etc as well.
ie:Pointui Sense, Nexus One, Mac OS... the list really is endless.
Just some food for thought. If you like Infinity you should definaly give pointui a try. That said...... if you're the developer and just trying to spread the word about Infinity.. My bad! I looks promising!

It's not really like PointUI - it doesn't crash as often
No, I've tried (bought) PointUI and other than the PointSense theme (which has been abandoned by its developer) there's nothing much about PointUI to get excited about Add to that the fact that PointUI hasn't seen an update from its developers in a very long time...
I think that Infinity shows more promise than both SPB Mobile Shell and PointUI combined. People are forgetting that what they've seen so far is only an ALPHA version!
About the task manager, try to press on the top bar...
Unlike those who have the HD2 but dislike Windows Mobile, and try to cover it up as much as possible, I have used many WM devices, from WM 2003 to WM5, and WM6.1, before this one. (I wouldn't say that I particularly like WM, but it is what I am used to.)
Now, having just received my HD2 yesterday, I am trying to learn Sense UI, see how it works, etc.
Sometimes, however, it would actually make things easier for me, to revert to the regular Windows Mobile settings screen that I am used to, rather than figuring out where those settings are in Sense. (For instance, I don't see the settings for Buttons in Sense at all.)
Is there a simple way, from Sense, to get to the WM settings (rather than Sense settings)?
Thanks for your input?

Hi.
Thanks for the response.
I didn't mean something like that, though, a permanent change through registry, back to the regular Windows settings. After all, I am just beginning to learn about Sense, want to try it out more, etc.
I am just wondering if there is some way, from Sense, that I can sometimes go to the regular Windows Mobile settings, rather than the Sense ones?
oh right, i thought u meant when sense was disabled, because the real settings link in start menu is dissabled in many stock roms.
go to settings tab, click menu, all settings.
