Sapphire unable to boot rom+recovery (Solved) - myTouch 3G, Magic General

Hi,
Something went wrong while flashing a new recovery image now i am unable to enter the recovery the phone just stays in the splash screen. When i try a normal boot its the same problem just the splash screen..
I can enter fastboot but i dont have an engineering SPL on it, what are my options ?
Details:
PVT 32B S-ON
HBOOT-1.33.0004 (SAPP10000)
RADIO-2.22.19.261
When i try to fastboot a new recovery image it says "permission denied" i think that this is because of the non engineering SPL ?
ps. Phone is rooted a long time ago, never had any problem flashing.
SOLVED
I booted amons recovery true fastboot and overwrite the wrong recovery image, then i flashed a good rom..so the phone is alive again.

Stuck on splashscreen

Today I probably flashed my phone with a wrong (32A) SPL. I can't access fastboot, recovery mode or anything, including access from PC (either Linux or Window$). But it's stuck on splash - if it was totally bricked, would it still load a splash screen? Is there any hope?
try a tecnique used by one of our members.
remove battery of your phone. Connect to your computer by usb.
2) input command fastboot boot recovery.img
3) input the battery
phone will turn on, and if SPL is breaked problably he'll boot in recovery mode.
But one question. You flashed the SPL, now you dont have any ROM . So... Have you entered in fastboot (Back+Power) , Checked if was Sig Off and flashed directly from there a recovery img?
Please provide info wich is on fastboot mode. The first 5 lines. Thank you
I can't access anything else than splash screen, fastboot and recovery included. The method with replacing the battery also doesn't work.

can no longer boot into recovery

I have a rooted unlocked Magic 32b and have flashed many roms on it but it has suudenly stopped booting into recovery.
If i hold power and home it now just hangs on vodafone splash screen.
any ideas?
if you have an engineering SPL installed on the phone, you can use fastboot from the SDK to flash a new recovery image (assuming you can still get into fastboot mode on the phone)
Or you can go to Android Market and download ROM Manager & flash recovery through that application (both ClockWorkMod & Amon_RA supported). If the first flash fails don't worry just reflash the same recovery (2nd flash works every time)
Thanks for the help, I reflashed AMon-Ra recovery via fastboot and all is well.
I'm having exactly the same problem.
Think I flashed the 32a instead of 32b onto the magic uk vodafone device:
sapphire pvt 32A eng s-off h
hboot-1.76.2007 (sapp10000)
cpld-10

Could you link to the recovery you managed to flash your phone using please? I've tried loads of versions via adb/flashboot and none work sadly.
Hoping I don't have to buy another phone
I have similar issue to original poster, I've flashed many roms over the last year and all have been fine until now
VOLDN+POWER, HOME+POWER, BACK+POWER are all no go.. all stuck on bootloader splash. Can someone confirm I've finally bricked my 32B?
Last SPL i put on was 1.76.2007 i think (cant confirm no fastboot..) radio was 2.22.19.26I

Help! "Semi-" bricked. FASTBOOT gives Signature errors

Hi all,
Hopefully someone knows the answer to this one. I am completely screwed here and need some help.
I rooted my MyTouch 3G 3.5mm (32a) with no problems and tried several ROMS. So, I was going to try a ROM with a required radio and tried following this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=605239 to do so.
It seemed ok, but then all heck broke loose.
Now I am stuck with the following:
HBOOT-1.33.2010
CPLD-13
RADIO-3.22.20.17
And nothing else.
I tried to unroot it and everything I could think of. That was probably a mistake (#2) because that replaced the recovery. So, now I can FASTBOOT and that's it.
If I try to replace the SPL or recovery or anything, I get a "Signature Verify Fail" from ADB and if I try using the SD card, it loads the img, checks it, and then does nothing.
Any ideas?
Your SPL is perfected so you cannot fastboot. Do you have a recovery that you can boot into?
As far as your fast boot problem goes look at this :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=548218
Click to collapse
Does that translate into "I am screwed"?
can you enter any kind of boot, try volume + power, home + power, if you can, then use droid explorer to reflash the system
Do you a recovery you can boot into?
No recovery. :-(
I can get into the system via down vol+Power and Back+Power, but that's it.
I'll see if Droid Explorer can see anything.
From what I see, Droid Explorer requires the system be booted.

Will I tried that to see if it would work. It actually gives me the option to start the flash.
The first section to flash is SYSTEM. It starts unzipping and stops right there and hangs.
Oh, I am not sure if this changes things, but the entire top data when at FASTBOOT is:
SAPPHIRE UNKNOWN 32A ENG S-ON H
HBOOT-1.33.2010 (SAPP31000)
CPLD-13

Any ideas or advice?
Have you tried entering recovery through AndroidSDK?
If you mean
"fastboot boot recovery.img", yeah. Is there a good recovery img I should use?
It doesn't seem to do anything when I try it. No error. It appears to work, but the phone does nothing.
Armon_Ra's recovery Heres a link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=530492. You have a 3.22 version radio so dont use the Hero recovery like he tells you even though you have a 32a (hero version is meant for 6.35 RaDIO)

[Q] Cannot boot recovery image

Hi,
I followed the process introduced in the HTC Sapphire Hacking
(http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/index.php?title=HTC_Sapphire_Hacking)
trying to boot an Amon_RA recovery image that I got from
"http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=530492" (tried
recovery-RA-sapphire-v1.7.0G.img and
recovery-RA-sapphire-v1.7.0G-cyan.img). The problem is the image seem
booting but stalled in the very first boot screen (The white HTC Magic
log on the whole dark background). Then I had to remove the battery to get it back
The command line I was using is:
$ fastboot boot recovery-rom.img
and it told me that writing and booting are okay and finished.
Does anyone get a clue for the problem? Is there anything wrong with
my method?
Here are my phone information,

SAPPHIRE PVT 32B ENG S-OFF H
HBOOT-1.33.2010

Thanks in advance.

You have ENG spl and s-off...
That's very good..
You only need the recovery...
Try to flash it, instead of booting it...
In fastboot try typing this:
fastboot flash recovery recoveryImageNameHere.img
Restart into recovery by holding the home+power together...
This should do the trick :0)

Help me fix my HTC MAGIC! I think I bricked it!

Hi all!
need your help on restoring my Rogers HTC Magic. So I rooted the phone before and flashed it using HERO ROM. Then my gf accidentally did a factory reset on the phone and it completely wiped the phone. Everytime trying to boot the phone, it got stuck on the HERO screen loop. She tried restoring it by doing this:
fastboot erase boot
fastboot erase system
fastboot boot recovery.img
This restored the phone back to the original Rogers ROM but only lasted a couple days. Then this crashed and stuck on the ROGERS screen loop.
Now, I am trying to restore this. When I go to the fastboot mode this is what i see:
SAPPHIRE PVT 32A SHIP S-ON H
HBOOT-1.33.0009 (SAPP50000)
CPLD-12
RADIO-3.22.20.17

I tried recovery mode via fastboot using recovery-RA-sapphire-v1.7.0H.img and i get this message:
fastboot flash recovery rec.img
error: cannot load 'rec.img'
Help please!
