Hello, recently I have been trying to get the Direct3D Mobile capabilites of the .NET Compact Framework 2.0 working on my german T-Mobile MDA-Pro (HTC Universal).
I have tested some applications that use this feature (such as Pocket Jongg 3D ). But they all throw an exception (Microsoft.WindowsMobile.DirectX.DriverUnsupportedException)
A lot of users reprorted the same problem (see msdn forum) this seem to include all german branded HTC Universal not just T-Mobile:
The reason for this exception seems to be clear: The direct3d-drivers that come with those devices is not capable of doing direct3d !!!! Now is there a proven way to exchange those drivers? Or another way to make Direct3D Mobile run on an HTC Universal ? Is there anyone with a german HTC Universal that got Direct3D Mobile running ?
Here is another usefull resource.
Now it looks like that my MDA-Pro has none of those drivers listed there, instead I find two dlls:
d3dm.dll <--- size: 50,3 kbyte (seems to be just a dummy file)
D3DMXSc50PB.dll
I have written a little tool that detects the direct3d capabilites of your windows mobile 5 device: http://channel9.msdn.com/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=174765
It looks like that german HTC Universals do support direct3d mobile, but most games just need some special capabilities that the drivers shipped with all german HTC Universals do not support.
If I only new how to correctly exchange the drivers .....

Is there an SDK available for the Bluetooth interface on the Sedna/6500?
I'm developing an app for engineers which uses bluetooth to read a value from a 3rd party piece of hardware.
Why Sony Ericsson X2 doesn’t support Arabic from Microsoft in MR2 (WM 6.5.3) as Microsoft said in its official web site?

Dear Mohie
Did you try to use any other WinMob 6.5.3 based device where only standard MSFT arabic support is activated? Try it and let us know your comments.
Yes, MSFT added the basic support for arabic text output and very limited support for arabic input. The problem is that this support works only in very limited functional areas.
Just try to find other forums of MSFT developers and ask them when MSFT is planning to fix main arabic issues for WinMob 6.5.3.
I hope that Aaron answers to you in official SE forum about why SE didn't use only MSFT arabic support. Do you know any other products based on WinMob 6.5.3 with arabic support? It would be nice to compare the quality of arabic support between X2 R3AA035 and these devices.....
Thanks PanichUS for reply..
I think only X2 now available with WM 6.5.3, but no reason for wait as officially Microsoft said that WM 6.5.3 support arabic natively...

Aspen comes with 6.5.3, there are also several HTC devices running 6.5.3 as well, this includes custom ROMS
Dear m.mohie
Did you have deals with MSFT before?
"Arabic read/write document support"
It doesn't mean that MSFT promises that you can write/read SMS/MMS by using arabic.
It doesn't mean that MSFT promises that you can make some sort for your phonebook.
It doesn't mean that you will have correct format for mixed arabic/latin texts.
I'm not sure is any arabic prediction supported by native MSFT code. It should be.
So, please, compare native arabic support from MSFT with Arabic support from Mobidiv, which is used in X2 and let us know your comments.
