Next time when you charge your phone, wait until the green LED turns off (indicating that the battery is 100% charged). Then take off the battery and insert it back, turn on the phone and charge again. The battery may be displayed as low as 75% and it will charge to 100%. Not sure why this is the case, but it works for me.

same thing happened to me right now.. phone was charged full 2 hrs ago.. just checked it was showing red light( battery zero!) wasnt able to do anything.. its charging now... beyond understanding!!

Battery Sensor

Hi
Yesterday i install and run this program http://sourceforge.net/projects/netspoof/ for about 30-40 seconds, my phone was showing 60% battery. After 40 sec my phone was burning and i got the red led. Try to boot but nothing. Put the phone to charge and after a few minutes, he start to boot. Let him charge for 30 minutes @ 55%, reboot the phone and after that it was showing 30% charge. Left the phone 40 minutes to charge and it was showing full, reboot and then showing 40% watch him charging, the phone was jumping from 40% to 45% to 52% etc. Some help please.

[Q] Phone dying suddenly.

I am having issues with my battery. It drops fast from 100 to 75 in 30 mins and them holds well till 30 during which time I can get 2:30hours of screen on time. After that when it gets to 20% the phone suddenly turns off without warning. I tried recall calibrating battery by fully charging, then bump charging it to 100 and then let it fully fall and then turn it on and let it fall. And then fully charged it but still it dies around 20% mark.
What should I do?

Note 3 BATTERY ISSUE !!!

Every time I charged my phone to 100% after I unplug the cable it goes to 85% in 30 minute ~ 1 hour, after that it acts normally !!! so could anyone explain to me that ?!!
Plus it takes too much time to charge from 95~100% maybe 45 minute to get that 5%, but it only takes 1 hour and 30 minute to get to 95%
so I just want to know if it does related to a H/W Issue or a S/W
If you are rooted try to calibrate or totaly discharge battery then charged to 100.
If you got same results replace battery

Battery issues

Dear XDA,
Since a few weeks I began experiencing problems with the battery of my Galaxy Note 4 (SM-N910F).
It all started with the phone lasting a lot shorter per day and suddenly shutting off at around 5-8% battery left.
Today it was the worst I've ever experienced. I make a short list of what happened.
Charged to 100% overnight and taken charger out at 7:30
Went to the gym, 98% left after 1 hour idle
Bumped an extra 4% when transferring files from PC at 15:10 (from around 78 to 82%)
Watched 10 minutes of Under the Dome and did some Whatsapp
Read an article on the internet
Phone was suddenly at 28% at 19:00, shut it down for a bit
Powered on at 19:25 with only 18% left
Phone died at 19:30 with 14% left. 2h and 40 min Screen On Time. 12 hour standby.
Still able to boot but can't get past coloured Samsung logo
LED Notification stays blue and can keep booting for about 30 more times.
So basically my phone died after 2h and 40 min Screen On Time with still some charge left.
This is the worst I've had so far.
The weirdest part is that the Notification LED stays on after trying to boot it once. The only way to remove this is by taking out the battery.
When the phone was new I was able to at least get 4-5 hours Screen On Time depending on brightness.
Things I tried to solve it:
Full charge cycle and emptying it
Factory reset
Checking for unusual activity (wakelocks)
I've checked for any wakelocks but I think this might be a defect instead.
Can anyone please help me? Any advice is appreciated! Thanks in advance anyway!
Kind regards,
Daniel Collignon
Anyone?!

I don't even use Tapatalk...
Try a new battery, it can become 'weak' after a while.

Don't worry ! I have gone through this too . A log or a screenshot of BBS , System battery graph would help us . Please share it
well my phone is n910H. it lasts less than a day and it dies when it reach 30% and when i connect the charger it gives me 0%. does this means the battery is faulty or is it a software issue ?
Me too!
I have the exact problem stated in the op. I am pretty sure it must be a callibration issue because I've tried too many times the *#0228#. I've tried taking out the battery and putting it after some minutes. I've tried off-charging, on with screen off charging, on charging, fast charging, slow charging, everything and I have at most 4 hours of use, with 1 or 2SOT.
Sometimes I charge it and it stops at 70 or 75%. Today, it stopped at %50 (off-charged) and I removed the battery, waited 5 minutes, put it back on and it showed 100% (still off). Battery lasted less than 1 hour (okay, I was playing candy crush and clash of clans ).
I use my phone without the power saving mode for a snappier performance, but it's impossible that the battery lasts so little time.
Could you solve it? or just bought a new one?
Battery drain
I have same issue on my Note 4 for a last few months. And it's just getting worse.
Today it dropped from 48% to 5% and turned off.
I even took it to Samsung service and they told me that everything is OK with phone and that I have to change charging equpment.
I did that and it didn't help. It's happening again.
Help please?

samsung grand prime G530 0% battery

my mobile is 6 years old (2014) and has been working well, the battery lasted around 2 days idle and 1 day using considerable ammount of whatsapp and camera until yesterday 2020-05-02
i went to sleep and now 8 hours later the phone was turned off, i tried turning on when it booted to the system it was on 0% battery and turned off right after
i put it to charge (still the original 1ma charger and usb cable), and it charged at least faster then usual (from 0 to 100 in more or less 1 hour , should take at least 2:30 hours)
using androind stock rom 4.4.4
is there anything i can do to fix this, or is it a sign the phone is dying?
thanks

have you tried to "calibrate it"? maybe it will help you with this problem. I do not say that it will be 100% good, but it should improve this bad behavior.
