Should the device be CID unlocked as well to flash a custom Rom / Different Language ROM?
the phone works with any SIM so i assume it is SIM unlocked. But not sure whether its CID. Dont know how to check either..
I am trying to flash a Rom with a WWE (Originally Italian). Hard Spl flashed successfully, and the new WEE Rom also flashed successfully (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=5822694&postcount=2)
But then the phone boot halfway through and returns back to the Boot loader mode and displayed the message "Your OS ROM isn't customized for your hardware. Please reflash the proper ROM code or contact the service center."
Is this because the phone is CID locked? where can i get it CID unlocked??
I managed to boot the phone back after flashing an Italian ROM. But still i need to Flash a WWE ROM.. Please Help..
Thanks in advance for your help guys.

Hi !,
I'm tryin upgrade ROM with Siemens+ATT A3.0.9 (pocket pc 2002 to WM2003).
Manage to burn it to SD (inside XDA) with XDATool.
Then do hard reset..but bootloader 6.22 just ignore the SD and not
give option to load the new ROM inside the SD.
I found an opinion : to downgrade the bootloader to 5.15...but I hope
to maintain the 6.22 bootloader unless it is really need to downgrade the bootloader. Furthermore I don't know to patch or downgrade the bootloader
Here is my device info :
ROM version 3.20.06 ENG
ROM date 07/30/03
Radio version 4.21.01
Protocol version 32S54
Bootloader 6.22
So what should i do ? hope for assistance from somebody.
Try using XDAtools to directly flash your ROM ... if worked it will update your boot loader to 5.15
Ok, the main problem is that I have bootloader 6.22 as well and foolishly have upgraged to the T-Mobile Rom.
Since then I have tried using the Kitchen to make a "B" type rom but to no avail.
Plus since this rom has been isnatlled it will no longer accept any different types of Rom other than that of a "B" type rom. I can't even use the pther "Programme A / B" to flash my rom
so in other words. I am stuck until I can find a way to change the header string on a rom. or to find a way to download a "B" type rom.
Please note. I tried putting a "B" Type rom in to the header string section of the kitchens and it cooked it... But still isn't recognised by my device.

Hello,
I want to relock the bootloader and go back to stock.
I tried flashing stock firmware using fastboot.
fastboot oem lock begin
flashed stock firmware
fastboot oem lock
But Bootloader is still unlocked.
I got message as first flash full stock system. Something like that. Don't remember as I tried this a week ago.
Any help will be highly appreciated.
Thank you in advance.
Edit : I also tried the Windows tool provided by one of the members but it failed too.
I used the same to unlock in the first place.
I think it depends on what you want to achive. While you might be able to re-lock the bootloader (which means it can't be flashed without being unlocked again), you will never ever get rid of the unlock message again. This - to my understanding - is an efuse which is permanently set. If you want to remove the unlocked bootloader boot message, I'd stay unlocked and would just flash a different boot logo (logo.bin) where the unlocked gfx are replaced with the standard gfx thus showing the standard boot logo.
I would like to relock the bootloader altogether.
I don't think you can. You can lock it but you can't remove the warning that it has been tampered with.
I don't care about the warning.
I just want to re-lock it.
Flashing the Official firmware for my Country - India did the job.
Last time I tried with firmware for ASIA.
I don't see any reason for that to fail but you never know.
Thanks for replying.
hey can you give me the link for that rom im also using the indian version but unable to lock the bootloader
Hi guys, I will appreciate if someone can help me. The things is:
I erase system.img from recovery and I backup from XT1706. After I found a site with stock XT1700 rom I downloaded last version which is the S503 I used SP Flash Tools and everything goes well. But when I tried to unlock Bootloader again adb windows said: This operation is not allowed. I tried everything but I wasn't able to unlock Bootloader again. So I downloaded the first version (S116) and surprisingly I could unlock Bootloader. But I get no notification of OTA updates it says that phone has the last version which is not true. Any ideas of what could be happening here? Thanks of hand for you help.
If you downloaded the ROMs from http://motorolastockrom.com/motorola-moto-e3-xt1700 then I suspect the problem is the ROMs have locked boot loaders. I tried installing the S503 version and the S302 version and had the same problem as you. In the end I ended up installing an XT1706 firmware and was able to unlock the bootloader, but sadly it is the same release date and adroid patch version as the XT1700 ROM I was on to begin with (S124)
next ... After unlocking the bootloader of my g4 plus bike, I made the installation of the rom and an update arrived via ota ... I placed to make the installation and after made the cell phone hung up and did not call any more ... then I did the blankflash and the mobile came back in fastboot mode with the boot blocked again, now I can not install any rom and nor unblock the boot by not having the option oem unlock checked ... my question is the following have some way to enable the option unlock boot without starting the system, by adb or something, or do the installation of some rom with the boot blocked? Thank you very much in advance
Which ROM did you flash onto your device?
As far as I understand, you cannot enable the OEM unlocking option without booting to system, and as your bootloader is set to OEM_locked by the blankflash, you need to flash the stock ROM firmware to get your system working.
I'd suggest looking into flashing the latest stock ROM firmware, follow this unbricking guide here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g4-plus/how-to/moto-g4-plus-hardbrick-solved-guide-t3657761
If that doesn't work, then you may have to wait for a newer firmware or submit your device for an expensive service repair.
For future reference, if you did flash an older stock ROM firmware, please delete that and only flash stock ROM firmware as new or newer than your bootloader. If you do want to flash older stock ROM firmware, do not use OTA updates please. Old OTA updates corrupt your bootloader and thus lead to a hard brick.
