Send commands to PC - Android Software Development

Does anyone know if there is an application that will send command lines to a PC? I would like to use this to either both launch programs and send other commands (such as changing the audio output on my PC).
I am able to do this by creating shortcuts to the commands, then using a remote program (like premotedroid) to control the mouse and click the shortcuts, but it would be really cool if the phone could just send the command directly to the PC.
Any thoughts on how to do this would be great.

Can I control my HTPC using my Wizard?

I have a HTPC (without a mouse or kb) plugged into my TV, and while I have a remote (IMON 2.4G DT) the mouse control isn't too great. What I would like to do is use my Wizard as an input device, primarily for the mouse but probably also for keyboard
I thought Total Input sounded promising, but I have two issues with that:
1. 'Server is unreachable' - which presumably is just a matter of configuration of the network, and hopefully I should be able to sort that, and
2. (and this is the bit I really need help with) TI requires the NET Framework 1.1, a consequence of which is the PC can no longer boot straight into the default desktop, but now stops at the 'Select a user' screen.... where you click WITH A MOUSE which user you want to log on as
So, my question is, does anyone have any novel solutions or can suggest a piece of software that will alow me to do what I want?
I really don't want another mouse and keyboard cluttering up the living room, and to be able to use the Wizard as the input device would be really handy.
You can fix that login issue by Clicking 'Start' > 'Run'
Then type "Control userpasswords2" (without quots)
Then set the default user

Video data transfer from PPC to Desktop

Hi everybody.
I just wonder how I can estabilish a remote connection between my pocket pc a nd the desktop pc, for video and camera capture still image.
Shall I have to use Winsocket or there is another way, maybe using Activesync manager?

Did you mean with an existing app or by code?
In the first case you should follow Chatty's suggestion and look at CoolCamera.
If you want to write something of your own, communication method depends on who initiates the connection.
If it is the device than winsock is the way to go, but if it is the PC you should look in to CeRapiInvoke function which allows you to extend activesync functionality with your own DLLs.
There is an option for block and stream data transfer with CeRapiInvoke and your custom functions.

Exactly: I would like to implement it by my own.
I don't know exactly if the communication should begin from ppc or pc: there could be both scenarious.

I know there is an addon for outlook 2007 for sending sms messages but I haven't used it so I'm not sure of any details.

I think what you need is: http://www.jeyo.com/companion.asp With it you can send normal sms messages from your phone from your desktop while connected through activesync/wmdc

Yeah, what you are looking for is called the Jeyo Mobile extender. I use it, and 't works perfect. Download the trial from the site, and if you like it, buy it. its only 20 USD or so.
that callwave service is AWESOME! i wish there was some way to run it on my tytn though; explorer doesn't load the page... there should be some app that lets you do it!!

what i do is i have a software which let me control my pocket pc on my desktop it opens up the phone screen on my laptop and i can just move around and do anything with it, u can use VNC viewers i use

The application itself uses TCP/IP and can work over ActiveSync connections (to the Host Desktop, no routing off of the host), via Ethernet (to any reachable Desktop, does not include any support for proxy servers etc) or dialup.
Remote Display control works on any platform running Windows CE version 2.11 or later.
Three different types of people use this application:
Marketing/Sales: Useful to demonstrate applications on the device, can be used to get the screen display on a large screen (much better then an Elmo in most cases).
PM/Devs: Useful to get screen shots of applications or for developers that are happy not switching keyboards/displays too often when doing UI tweaking or bug fixing.
BSP Developers: BSP's (Board Support Packages) are the low-level software written to allow Windows CE to work on a device. This includes the OAL (OEM Adaptation Layer) and drivers for the hardware device. The client will function as a display driver so that people who either don't have the hardware or haven't written the driver yet can use this in place of the real display/keyboard/mouse driver, with remote connect it could be installed into headless devices as an alternate way to manage them.
Installation directions:
Connect device to desktop via ActiveSync 3.1 or higher.
Run RemoteDSP.exe from the desktop.
Features:
Desktop - You can click and type as if you were on the device.
Desktop - You can Zoom by 1, 2 or 3 times.

The Remote Display Control (v2.03) application work's great!
In my opinion better than Jeyo for Outlook, although a great idea, didn't work for me entirely. I wanted to keep all sent items on my device and more often than not, it wouldn't connect, even though ActiveSync had. I was using Outlook 2003 + ActiveSync 4.5. Don't worry, I'm not looking to solve this problem. I gave up after experiencing this several times.

Yah, callwave is pretty cool. I jumped the gun and signed up for their free voicemail service. I cancelled it like 20 minutes after that. It brings your voicemail's to your desktop(i use a mac and adds them on a widget). But it replaces your providers voicemail so you get voicemail notifications through a text (not the voicemail symbol) and have to call their voicemail number to retrieve from your phone... valiant effort but didn't want to give up my voicemail notification... or something like that.
It would be cool if a operator would adopt their system.

Where is that "cerdisp" thing? I keep on trying to activate this on my desktop but it doesnt do anything. Plus I cant find the cerdisp. I have a Rhod400.

Here is a nice how-to on controlling your Raspberry Pi via Voice Control. The tutorial includes all needed scripts for voice input and output You can add any commands you would like your Pi to execute.

You really should! Try to command your local computer via voice, the script will work on it aswell with a few tweaks. It's pretty funny and you can impress your friends when your computer answers your questions

Control Xbox One Streaming with Mouse and Keyboard

Hello guys,
I was working on it yesterday with a bit of disappointment. Did anyone make this work yet?
I tried to do this with FreePIE, vJoy and X360CE.
I used X360CE to emulate an Xbox 360 Controller, since streaming should work with these. I hoped to be able to control streaming this way, but I don't know where to put the generated xinput1_3.dll. I was able to open the folder where the XboxApp.exe is, but I don't have write access there. Replacing xinput1_3.dll in system32 didn't help either. Somehow after some hours my FreePIE script stopped working, but that's an issue that I'll need to workaround later.
What I did so far:
- Writing a FreePIE script, that translates keyboard input to vJoy (controls for Minecraft, but can be easily changed)
- Configuring X360CE to understand vJoy (the easiest task)
If there is any interest in this, I can post Links and my script later.
Any ideas where I did go wrong? Anybody found a hint, where the Xbox App gets the inputs from? Does it even use Xinput or will we need to dig somewhere else?

Hey have you made any progress on this?! I've been trying to do the exact same thing. I want to use my keyboard and mouse to control the xbox one while streaming.
Ever make any progress on this? I tried something similar myself but couldn't get it to recognize any virtual controller. Anyone have any ideas?
