HI guyz, most of the hd2 & tmous HD2(like me) users here used android on there phone n hav som issues like robotic voice or more.so on behalf of everyone i request the developers to make a cooked rom for our Tmous HD2 and HD2 in which there's no robotic voice problem and that rom is stable and fast for everyday use.more over i would like to request to make a cooked stock rom as some people's like the stock roms which dont hav robotic voice and other issue thus we can use both Android n WM whenever we want.ANd this way it would be helpful to them who are making the android ROMs.i would like to give thanks to the developers for Working hard for us.. we really appreciate that and we are very thankful to you for your works,,,

If you read at all, you can find that it could be a ROM or Radio issue causing Robotic voices.
Also, many android builds are almost perfect.
Do a bit more reading next time please...

Here's the flashing guide.
Just be careful - use the right guide according to your HD2 model (aka. is it a T-mobile model or not?)

wow ok thx !!!
is HSPL needed to run android in hd2?
Do you think this is the right thread for 'question'?
Normally HSPL is needed because you need to flash the radio rom suitable to run android.
as long u using 3rd party rom u need it..
I don't believe it is "needed" to simply run Android. Now if you want it as your daily OS, I would strongly suggest it. You will be able to flash the recommended Radio / ROM combination so that you get the most functional build possible.
Without the right radio or ROM, you will have some unwelcome bugs.

since the day i bought hd2 until now it never been hspl yet in other word it still original official hd2 rom, here the descriptions:
os: 5.2.21869
manila: 2.5.19211619.0
rom: 1.66.707.1
radio: 2.07.51.22_2
protocol: 15.32.50.07u
I have stock T-Mobile US HD2 and I have not put HSPL or anything... it's even GSM locked to the carrier...
I managed to get FroyoStone series to work just fine; mccm build FRG33 and FRG 83 build as well... besides that I did try some builds like shubcraft or whatever the name is and it did not want to work due to screen freezes - so I just went back to mccm 1.5
sorry double post

anyway our advice is already stated there..
u want to install or not is depend on u..
any brick on ur phone will be responsible by urself..
You can run Android on a stock phone, but just be ready for any of the various annoyances with doing so, most common is audio issues like robot voice during calls. I tried it on stock Tmous HD2 for a while before finally loading up custom roms.
You might get lucky and not have the issues.

hey guys im posting this to ask you guys which custom rom i could flash to my htc tmobile hd2 leo to make it work with android 2.2 desire build...... im looking for a rom that can fix my radio so i can make phone calls.. and i rom that would decrease the amount of battery usage my android system wastes.... cause right now without a flash my android system itself is wasting a ****load of battery!!!! so if there is a rom that can do all of this... let me know please!!!
You have already posted this! AND we answered you! It is not your ROM that is causeing your battery to drain so quickly while using Android, its ANDROID that is doing it. Some builds of Android are not as good at battery management as others...you just gotta find one that works for you. Please don't post this question again. You are using the stock ROM, which doesn't really work with Android..your calls won't work using the stock ROM. You must flash a new ROM in order to use Android, or download one of the Desire HD flavors of Android...don't ask me which one because I don't remember, just use the search function or read the threads in the Android section.

Didn't we already tell you that haret kills windows mobile. I recomend you use the Chuckydroid windows mobile rom found in the android development section.
Your horrible battery life is not due to windows mobile. It's due to the android build, try using the nexus one 2.2.1 build.

****USE RECOMMENDED WINMO ROM AND RADIO****
the main purpose for the threads' creation is brought about by my reading and posting
through the threads and encountering a lot of people having problem Installing
Android and that a proven and tested method of using the builders recommended
winmo ROM and Radio is mainly being ignored due to the fact that a lot of people
are able to run Android on stock ROMs even without HSPL. although I am not
contradicting this, but as almost all of those people posting problems which are
perplexing dont receive a definitive answer, the only other option really is
to use what's been recommended.

Most people are just to lazy to do any searching to find the answers. They will still have issues will the simple layout you have provided. I've noticed they don't even know that the down loads appear in the first couple of post on every thread. I mean how simple is that.

You totally got the wrong point. My aim in this thread is not to promote the builds
Quoted herein, but I quoted them as a means of getting my message across, so
Anyone testing Android builds should be using recommended winmo Roms and radio.
The builders of these all recommends a particular custom winmo Rom, so to miniimize
Incidence of problems along the way. BTW am a big fan of mdeejay, now am
Using Clean 2.3 sense.
"subjective" you're telling me ay!
I get your point. And it is a good one. The environment of the cooks is the best way to duplicate their smooth running builds.
Ha, looks like this thread went over a LOT of heads. Of course I do see that many don't read the first post on the Builds once they find the download link.

Hi. I am keen to learn how to port a Gingerbread ROM which I like to HD2 and would appreciate if someone could advice or recommend me the place to start. The closest I found was in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=898215 but someone mentioned that it is already outdated as the advice would only work with older android version.
Thanks in advance for all your help.

Yeah I think u mean making, cooking a rom for HD2,not flashing it to HD2 ,right?
I think u need to put alot of time to make a good stable rom.that's y I prefer to download one and just flash it and see how it runs

Yes. I am not referring to flashing it but cooking it for hd2. I have already tried a couple of the custom Gingerbread Rom for hd2 but am not entirely satisfied so I decide to cook one for myself based on the other HTC handsets.
Aha I see,I'm using BOYPPC-SHIFTPDA GINGER 2.3.3 RAM_V5 and so far it's great.
ppl also recommend this:
TyphooN CyanogenMod 7 RC2 v2.6.2 [2.3.3][A2SD][tytung r7]
but if u wanna make ur own rom ,if I'm not wrong u can find a Chief program easy to cook a rom for ur desires ,but I'm not 100 percent sure it's an entire rom or just the interface ,I never tried that, have a look at that.
Been using TyphooN CyanogenMod 7 rom on my device this rom updates very quickly
