Please help!!!!!

Hello..I know that you said only to post new threads if it is a real problem, and this is!!!
I have my Touch HD for about 8-9 months and i would like to upgrade its ROM to WM 6.5...i've read everything, the wiki, many threads etc, and i have chosen quite a few cooked roms that i liked(about 10), but when i try to flash them i get the same msg: Error [262]: Update error - the ROM update utility has encountered communication problems during the process..
What am i doing wrong?? i dont know what else to do, im hopeless...am i missing any steps?? anything that i have to install before?? im a bit confused to tell the truth...
i would be very gratefull to anyone who can tell me 2-3 steps to do this one and for all..
Thank you very much
P.S: ROM version: 1.56.405.1(43972)WWE

T-Mobile US 1024 LEO HD2, new to this.

Hello everyone, this is my fist post here on XDA. I just purchased a HD2 T-Mobile US 1024 version. Main reason I got it is because I have been lurking here in the XDA forums, and thought that these custom Roms, might very well make my HD2 a usable phone, because as it stands right now, with HTC Sense 2.5 UI its completely unbearable.
I am completely lost when navigating these forums though, I would really love some help.
I have been reading about some good things here, like Coreplayer and MaxSense, but I really have no idea how to get started.
I read some of the sticky threads, but all i can gather is that before getting started i head to install something called HardSPL, but after that I am at a loss.
some of my system info is
OS Version
5.2.21889 (21889.5.0.87)
Manilla Version
2.5.20121412.1
ROM version
2.10.531.1
Radio Version
2.08.50.08_2
some one please help a noob out.
I just went into my Bootloader, and my SPL version is 2.0.08 I believe.
Here is where you can get HSPL
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=611433
and here is a tutorial on flashing a rom
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=653614
you said you were interested in maxsense? look in the roms section for roms containing maxsense, here's one, i haven't tried it yet so you may want to read up on it and decide if it's right for you.

Perfect info for a noob like me thanks
Since it is a T-Mobile USA model (1024) please take extra care as a wrong ROM or Radio ROM can brick your phone. The chefs do state if their ROM (and any specific Radio ROM they suggest) is suitable for the TMOUS version of the HD2.
I've tried everything and I still keep ending up in the MAGLDR black screen with the title at the top, but the menu won't appear at all, just stays there with the title. I've read and read everywhere. I'm using HD2 1024 with the latest Radio ROM

You should go to the magldr thread for help with magldr. This thread has nothing to do with magldr. The op of this thread is asking about winmo roms.

HELP ME PLEASE : How to downgrade to WM6.1 or original WM6.5

I use HTC maple and flash ROM WM6.5 3VO. It'very nice but I could not install Thai language. Shown Error : Invalid Model ID
I try to find the solution because I need to read Thai. I think that I must :
1. Downgrade to WM6.1 Original ROM -----> How can I get it?
2. Flash WM6.5 Original ROM -----> cannot, stop at 23%
If I can do 1 or 2, I think I can install Thai language. I could install (in WM6.1 Original) before flashing to WM6.5 3VO
Please help me how should I do.

Moved to General as not Rom Development.
Stock ROM Builds
Go to the Dash 3G, Snap ROM Development section. Look in the sticky post about six down from the top titled:
[ROM][MAPL|CEDA][DASH3G|SNAP|MAPLE|CEDAR|OZONE][Stock ROM Builds]
I'm not sure but you might find what you are looking for there for your question #1.
In one of the other sticky posts on the same page might find the answer to your question #2. Again, I'm not sure as I haven't tried doing what you are attempting. Maybe the one titled:
[TUT] Flashing and unbricking your Maple
or
[ROM] Official HTC Upgrade - Windows Mobile 6.5
Good luck!

Hi.
Have you read any of the stickies, readmes and FAQs posted in the Android Development section? Most questions are answered there. Someone also posted the same question about two posts up
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=830597
Anyway, if you have read all of the above and still get stuck then a more specific question make get the attention of those with more specific answers.
But to answer part of your question, my HD2 is running:
ChuckyRom (I forget which one, but it was designed for android) (WinMo ROM)
Darkstone's Sense Build 3.2 with Hasterins kernel V.8 (Android)
I have very few problems now. Good luck, Android on the HD2 is worth the trouble of getting it to work IMHO

From what I have been reading you need to have your radio version higher.
Also why won't you want to upgrade the current rom? You have to do most of the steps to get Android working anyway (HSPL) etc.
Also until you get the full answer,, I believe you have to state if its T-Mobile US or UK etc
Sorry not the full answer.
"URGENT QUESTION"? Stop posting in bold red and read the HD2-Android FAQ!
Noone will help such people acting/posting like you..

Simple answer is YES you can. You are not required to flash to run Android from your sdcard.
BUT...
Several (me included) folks have ultimately had to flash in order to remove or fix little glitches in the build they choose. From the robot voice to data problems, the first suggestion is almost always upgrade your WM ROM or radio or both. And from the looks of it you dont even have the newest official TMO WM ROM. Your radio is a few versions back also.
I would suggest you do some research on flashing to get comfortable with that first, then mess with android. If you dont... your experience with Android will most likely not be pleasant.
Hope this answers the mail.

Closed this thread.
1) Please stop posting in bold and red. Post in normal text, and people might listen to your posts more, and stop flaming you.
2) There exist comprehensive FAQ threads, which you should read. Don't come along, and start posting without reading them. The forum rules tell you to search before posting, and this would suggest you didn't.
3) These questions are hardly urgent or new, and there's no need to ask them in more than once place.
4) Please mind the language. It's unacceptable, and won't be tolerated.
5) As I said, thread closed for the above reasons.
