My htc touch 2 doesn't find wifi networks on channel 12 & 13.
It's a very strange problem, I tested with a cisco 861-W.
does anyone have the same problem?

Update your radio version to 3.53.25.20. Search in this forum for this radio & install.
Also i read somewhere in this forum, there is cab file to enable 801g or something, try that.

"newer WIFI driver, with this I have no problem with reconnecting Wifi after standby, not tested WPA , with driver not working LED signalling , that WIFI is ON."
i can confirm: wifi reconnect after standby works with this ROM!
But it's polish.
Can someone please extract that wifi driver ? and bringt it to a english ROM ? or a .CAB ?

i have still 2 problems:
- most times i try to start with comm manager - i have to "turn on WLAN" first
- when both is on it doesn't find my WLAN on the 1st time - i have to turn it off with comm Manager - turn it on again - then it works.
how can we make sure we have that driver from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=363977 ?

Today I tested WPA-PSK TKIP and with my ROM and newer driver it's working.

Now I have no time to prepare english version of ROM, maybe in weekend if you want I try make test cab with patch for you( but for WM6 - for me WM6.1 ROMS on BA are simple fakes - all which I analized ( 2 versions) have old WM6 core, only SYS part are taken from WM6.1).

Nevertheless, when i go in the wifitools, i can see my wifi card ( samsunf wlm, 54mbps.....)

I have a MIO P550, and i have succed to port a wm6.1 rom, and the wifi functionned with my previous beta ! And here, , the wifi don't function and i don't succed to find where is the problem

I had a similar problem with my xda stealth after upgrading....try soft reset few times and it may come back....for me it took more than 3 months
Hummm, it's not a pdaphone, but about the version of the wifi, in wireless tool :
UTILITY Version : 2.18
Firmware version : ( there is nothing )
Driver version : ( nothing )
Mac Adress : (nothing)
WLAN Status : ON

This might be a stupid question but this caught me out, but when I'm sync'd with my pc the wifi connection button etc did not show in the connection manager, I kept soft resetting, and then realized that be default activsync turns off wireless connections when connected. I had to set the option to allow it to work when connected.
I guess what I'm saying is your device connected to your computer when this happens?
This occurs with ASUS P525 and ASUS P535 also and we fix it with sorg Wifi fix.
It seems the shell load more faster than the Wifi driver.
Ask sorg for help or d/l my RK for Wm6.1 P525 at my signature.
In the OEM of the RK has the folder sorg Wifi fix.
Try it yourself.

I encountered your problems when i first put android.
The solution is to disable Automatic Time sync from network in both WinMo and Android.
