What do you think of Angry Birds?

I started reading posts here and there about it and thought it was 4 teh birds game. I found it (pretty easy to find) and started playing last night. I've finished all the demo levels but I'm going back and trying to get three stars on every level. I need 1,7,10,11,13,14,15 levels. I've got two stars on those and 3 on everything else. Some of these levels I can't see how the heck to get all the stars (without cheating by looking at youtube walkthrough videos. I am excited about the full version coming out! Hopefully that will be soon, I'd definitely buy it!

That game is addicting, I hope the full version isn't that expensive

The fact that angry birds came out to android makes me believe that developers are catching on to how popular the platform is getting. I've converted 5 iphone users.

On the iphone it was 99 cents. Since they have a lot more users than android, maybe that's why it's so cheap. Maybe 2 dollars? I hope they don't take forever like swype to release it.

I love the game and I downloaded on my Epic. I have the moment also and wanted to download on that phone also. I went to the market to download and it was gone. This was like one day or less later and now i cant find it? Anybody know why?:

Its not gone, just not available for some Android phones..

You can get the apk out there, google. Or you could just go to root/data/app/com.rovio.angrybirds_lite.apk on the one phone and copy that to sd card. Then copy it over to the moment via the pc.
One other thing, wtf is that banner as above about make a baby?! Make-my-baby? They must have something for dark skinned people and blue eyes...

Spiderman Mayhem Fix/Work around

Does anyone else have the problem of Spiderman Mayhem freezing everytime you try to start the Mystery Infection Invades City level?
*Play your copy of Spiderman up until the part where it starts freezing.
*Backup your sd card copy if you want to save it for when or if Gameloft ever fixes Spiderman.
*Unzip download below and replace your Spiderman file inside the Gameloft folder on your SD card with new file.
*Say yes when it asks to replace.
*Turn on your WI-FI and connect to a WI-FI network.
*Launch your Spiderman Mayhem Game.
*When it says it needs to download more data, say YES.
*When its done, play the game.
This allows you to bypasses the Mystery Infection level and starts you on the next level.
You will not be able to play Mystery Infection (Octorama) level on the tab EVER!! Or at least until Gameloft fixes the game. There is something wrong with all the Doc Oc. levels. Unfortunately, you will not be able to fight Doc Oc, either. Drag I know.
AGAIN, there is something wrong with all the Doc Oc. levels. During no point, on any save location along this level, have I been able to load it on my tab.
So I passed it for you, and now you can "finish" this awsome game.
Also, another unfortunate.... this is MY game save progress. MY upgrades, and all that.
Bummer.
Well now you can continue to play this awsome game and also play with the black suit! Its great, but you still have to earn it.
Also, when you beat the game and get the suit and start the game again, DO NOT PLAY THE MYSTERY INFECTION LEVEL, Also known as OCTO-RAMA!!!, it will freeze up again like your game is now, just pick the next level.
I know this isn't the best workaround, but at least its something......

Yes i am using the game for the tab that was actually purchased through gameloft on my tab. It is 130 here. I am gonna sleep and post the fix/workaroind tom. Play the game up till the freeze on mystery infection level. This fix will alow you to skip that part and continue on with the game. I am playing right now with the venom suit its awsome. Just needed to know that there is alittle interest before I go through the work of posting it. Your power ups might change, and be replased by mine, but mine are almost maxed out.
UPDATE: So I played back around back up to the Mystery Infection level in the venom suit. It froze again. The level is called something like Octorama or something. Just dont select this once i post the work around, until we can figure out why this happens on this level.

Its not a fix, but a way to get to the next point and finish the game. Lets face it, this game is awesome and needs to be played, and Gameloft is not doing anything to fix it. They still sell the broken game though.

Sorry about the wait guys, I returned from work today and my comp and tab are refusing to communicate. Since I have to transfer large files from my internal SD to comp and back a few times to create the workaround, I need to fix this first.

I also had the same problem, really frustrating. I contacted their support and this is the response I got.

I have a samsung galaxy tab and trying to play spiderman hd. When I try to play level 6 the game crashes. I can manually select level 1-5 and it plays fine but level 6 always causes force close.

I have already done that and the problem persists.
A simple google search will show that there are a few people with this exact problem. ie: crashes on level 6 with samsung galaxy tab.
Please stop giving me the run around and forward this issue to the developers so they can begin debugging and release a fix. This is not the first device this is happening on.
If the developers need some more info like crash logs let me know. I'm not a developer but I can follow instructions and copy log files if needed.

Typical Gameloft. They sold games for the Desire eventhough they knew it wasn't capable of true multi touch. I emailed them and they stated they were aware of this issue before they even ported the game to the device. But they claimed it was so Desire users 'could enjoy the game's

Thank you very much. It works now.
Once I replaced my files with yours and did the wi-fi update, I started the game and continue my game and it start me out at the level where there are green goblin men which I have not seen before.
My son got to the that "infected level" and it force close and had no idea why. He is only 4 and a half years old but he is pretty good at this Spiderman game. I just told him that he has reached the end of the game when it force closes.
Now he will be able to play the game again but I guess I have to tell him that I was wrong about him finishing the game.
Anyway, thanks for the fix.

Your welcome. I wish everyone could fight doc oc but atleast there is new life breathed into the game. Doc oc was the second to last level and you are now on the last level. Once you beat the game, go to choose level. Then choose the little t shirt on the uper left. There is your venom suit! Its like a new game with the black suit. Dont forget to skip the level where it froze when you come back around.

Woah.. Don't remove it yet! I thought my data got corrupted and I reinstalled the whole game, starting from scratch.
At least now I know it is a software issue!

Modern combat 2... Force close!... I have a fix!!!

This is a tip i just found for modern combat 2 on the xperia play.., this is using a genuine copy of modern combat 2 on a stock xperia play ...
I bought the game this morning went to play it and all i got was FORCE CLOSE (process com.gameloft.android.GAND.GloftBPHP.ML) GRRRRRRR! So after trawling through google for 30mins i found some dude who had a way to get it working...
1..open the game with pad slid in (in the apps menu) it might work with the pad slid out too
2.. then youll get force close blah blah blah...click close or ok or whatever
3.. now hold on your home key so recent apps appear on screen
4.. now click modern combat 2 in recent apps and it works!!!
hope this helps somebody cos i was pissed off when mine didnt work, thanks goto some dude on a random forum i tripped up on.
if this is old news delete this thread BUT if its useful to ya, gimme a HELL YEAH!!!

hell yeah? its a pretty inexcusable workaround to a problem that shouldn't exist. after paying for something that was supposed to be tailor made to my device i expect it to work properly without having to resort to some bogus workaround.
plan to be more careful when purchasing gameloft games in the future because the response they gave me was more of the same, and that is just weak IMHO.

yeah i agree it should work without the need of this, but itll do for me till they have a proper fix, maybe theyll patch the game. it might be my end because i installed some bogus versions of the game first that i later uninstalled but maybe they might have upset it abit lol...
anyway man just done 30mins multiplayer on capture the flag with about 8-10 in the server and was surprised how good it was, oh i had to register via my laptop with gameloft live cos trying to register in the game caused FORCE CLOSE again, but once registered u can log in and it all works good

I had the same problem and this does works (HI5!) however I agree that its not acceptable on the part of Gameloft. This game was advertised on this device and it was in the Xperia Play app, clearly its just a minor bug that could have caused havoc, and I have also told Gameloft what I think (hopefully a free game!).
Hopefully I will see you guys playing online.

But good idea for posting it here it will get seen more and be more helpful to people having this problem.
I noticed it force closes when the os does something like say you press the home button it will force close and you will have to start again from your last save which is annoying. This problem must be down to a conflict with the SE software as problems still exist with phone rooted and debranded.

I was having the same problem on my Samsung Galaxy S2 and (much to my surprise!) this work around actually WORKS!
Just debating whether to accept the free game they've offered me and carry on playing! Its really bad that Gameloft are allowing this to happen, so I wont feel too bad.

What's the debate? Just pick the free game and play the two. The cost for Gameloft to send you a link to another game is 0: plus, the glitch is their fault in the first place, and they seem lazy to correct it. If they're too lazy to give you proper service, why should you get restless about exploiting their policies?

Worked for me used wifi to download and standard browser, paid with paypal and downloaded from there.
it was on yesterday by the way as well, figured id buy all the games except bloody UNO while they were cheap

It was working earlier this morning as I bought Spiderman & Star Battalion, Can't access the site now though

Busy changing their credit card details

For the past few hours the site hasn't worked. I managed to start to download the APK for a game before I was having problems, however it failed.
I can now access the site again, but all games are showing as £3. What's going on? I assume the offer has finished, but I wasn't able to take advantage of it because the website wasn't working... :-(

Also worked fine for me, have an account, so just a simple login and one click buy :-D Got three games...

Their Support is disgraceful, I have been emailing them daily for the past 2 weeks with zero replies.
I had bought 3 games before I flashed my phone, then lost them & have been emailing support for fresh download links but they are ignoring me. For anyone else with same problem, I figured out a workaround - the initial small file that you download got saved to my SD card under the download folder of my Dolphin browser. I just installed from there & it let me download the 200Mb portion & all is working again.

I bough 9 Games while there £1 haha, i cant get modern combat 2 to work though, it launches the first time to download the data but then force closes, i mite try deleting it and installing again

does modern combat 2 work for you? mine keeps force closing

Modern Combat 2: Black Pegasus

I think this game is by far the best FPS for the xperia plays gamepad. I hated the controls in this game at first but grew to love it.
I set the contols to: move, Shoot, aim and use the directional pad to move and gentle taps of the rights stick to aim and it works flawlessly and very accurate.

I'm gonna go ahead and dissagre with you. I can't play that for **** whit its controls haha I think BF 2 is far more better Better controls, better graphics and so on But that's just what i think. And Rainbow six has a killer multiplayer

I dont know i think batttlefield controls are hard because you have to sort of flick or else you'll overshoot every time whereas modern combat 2 you tap on the right pad to aim. Soo much nicer to play with and alot more accurate. What setup do you use in battlefield and i'll give it a shot

when buying from gameloft, are the installers individually signed to your device, email, phone number, or whatever to prevent piracy? you see, i lost my installer for Modern Combat 2 Black Pegasus, accidentally deleted it when cleaning my SD card so I'm asking gameloft to give me another copy and I've been asking them for ages and still no freakin solution. they just replied once asking for my details and the receipt and that was 3 weeks ago!!!
so if it's not signed and all copies are the same (among the same phone models), maybe you can share to me your APKs for the Xperia Play via PM.. I swear I bought the game! Gameloft just has a crappy customer support. :[

Gameloft games are tied to your account. You just go to the site on your phone and enter your email and phone #. It gives you a section called My Downloads.
Asking for paid games is against the rules here. Even in PM's

Well i didn't know it was to tied to the account... and the My Downloads page thing using their website isn't working (saying I haven't downloaded any when in fact I have downloaded loads of games from them) that's why I posted in their crappy forum in the first place. I'm not dumb to not know that. In fact, everything in their website that is tied to an account doesn't work.
And I'm well informed of that no-warez rule here that's why I was asking FIRST in my previous post if it is tied to the account because if it's not there's no license thing to it. Since you said it is tied to accounts, then now I know.

I called thier 1-800#(or whatever) and they sent me texts with a direct link. They will answer the phone.

I buy gameloft games using paypal, i get no support, they dont reply to my emails, I'm not a memeber so i have no login to retreve downloaded games, but i already knew this before i bought any games, so i just manually back up the apk's i download

each device has a unique ID, and so does each gameloft .apk, at first run, each .apk is paired with the unique id of the device running it, after that, the game will only work on the device it was first run on

If I may ask a followup to this, do you know if say a while from now the Xplay 2 comes out and we want to upgrade, will Gameloft allow you to re-download an app you paid for to a new device? Or once its bought and paired you're done. I realize the physical file is paired, but I wonder if it broadcasts this data back to their server as well.

Yeah thats what it does, thats why you need an internet connection the first time you run a game, the game check the apk's id against the paired ones in the database, and if it comes back as already paired, the game quits or gives you the piracy warning

If I was to say get a new phone I would call and have them issue the games again.
But I believe it is tied to your account. I have flashed my phone and when I went back I had to enter my phone number and email address to download them again.

Hell the controls on the updated version (1.0.0) sucks ****..

This game was out of my phone for months now, until yesterday I saw the game's changed icon on the Get Games app so I decided to try the game again hoping the controls were better. And hell yes, they're a lot better. The game is playable now, except from one bug I noticed that kept me from advancing through the very first mission.
Everytime the cinematic shows up where a burning barrel flies toward the player in slow-mo, the action button appears but doesn't seem to be functional. When I touch it, it disappears and my player just stands there and lets the flying barrel blast him into space dust.
Anyone care to try and report back if they experience the same? This is still a good FPS imo especially now that MC3's aim controls are kinda screwed up too with the new update.

If you're on v3.3.9 or earlier, I can agree that MC2 controls are okay.
If you're on any version newer than that (when they reset the version count to 1.0.0) then you're crazy

Its been a while but IIRC one of the game pads buttons functions for the action button, it may have been X or Square or the right trigger, I forget. I remember having a problem with that part when i first played the game.

Hey bros I have a problem, I played mc2 via online and I am level 72 user but when I finish some game ir says that I am 58 level, and when I start a game it says I am 63 level, can somebody tell me what is wrong with my game.

Gameloft is whats wrong with it. Their server that tracks your games doesn't realize 3/4 of the "badges" i earn, and screws that stuff up too.
