Hi guys,
searching for a colored Alarm icon?! Some people have the Alarm icon in blue/white or red/white. Is it possible to change only the Alarm icon without installing a complete theme?
YES, it is possible. Everything is in this file 1bbfdc9b_manila. You have to extract PNG from this file and edit with any PNG editor.
You can also try my file (follow this steps):
1. Shut down manila
2. Extract and replace the file with Resco Explorer (put file into Windows folder and confirm YES)
3. Turn on manila again and set alarm
I have also changed Call History and Calendar icons but if You want just alarm icon let me know, I'll help.

Hi,
I am currently working on customizing my Cube to show my icons and programs.
I didn't want to overwrite the existing AL files, so I have put the custom files into: \My Documents\My Pictures\Cubeicons\Operamini_bottom.brn
but when I link to this in IconPath the cube is simply black at this icon?!
After one time usage, it shows the highlighted icon the whole time?!

Click to collapse
To my knowledge, on the Nike (Dual) all icons have to be in \Windows\ - unless somebody has yet found a way of moving them and changing the default path? (please let me know if so!)
So, to solve your problem...
1. Copy your file into \Windows\, but call it something new so you don't have to overwrite any existing file.
2. Use the newest beta of Touch Settings (v2.12pre onwards) to change the icons - please see http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=324556
.....if you want to change the MediaHub (3 app side) icons, at the moment you'll need to use the 'Advanced' tab and enter the full path manually.
hope this helps

Thanks,
I have managed to overwrite existing files, so I do have my icons.
but changing all the animation screens, is a lot of work!
I have searched and searched for a way to do this, and I finally figured out a
workaround.
Thanks go out to Koush and AVlev. They deserve all of the credit for developing the apps.
First I downloaded and installed Klaxon:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=412669
I then moved the entire contents of \Program Files\Klaxon into the \windows folder. I copied Klaxon.exe to my pc desktop via activesync and renamed it to Clock.exe (explained later)
I changed the two install folders at HKLM\Software\Apps\Koushik Dutta Klaxon
from \Program Files\Klaxon to \Windows
I downloaded and installed this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=438406
As explained in the thread above, this changes the Clock.exe file in the Windows folder to Clock_sys.exe and replaces it with its own Clock.exe. Trick is that the Clock.exe can now be overwritten. I tried several different programs to overwrite this file (i.e. Total Commander) and couldn't.
AFTER INSTALLING THE ABOVE do not click on the clock or try to open it. Once it is opened it becomes a sys file agin and you won't be able to do squat with it (or atleast I couldn't on my ROM).
I then dragged the renamed Clock.exe file from my desktop into the \Windows folder via activesync, and soft reset.
Now when I click on the clock/alarms on the Now screen it brings up Klaxon.
Note: I tried to do this with G-Alarm and it wouldn't work. Clicking the clock in the now screen would bring G-Alarm up, and I could set alarms and change settings, but when an alarm would try to initiate the program would crash.
If someone who knows what they're doing could figure that out it'd be much appreciated.
EDIT: note#2- The standard WM clock settings become accessible from the programs menu after installing the second program
nice it works! ... but isn`t there an easy version?! because i can`t deinstall IPC clock!
hello guys .. am new
and I would like to greet everyone!
I write to ask if you can change the icon system (the ones in the programs, settings tab, etc.). with which programs?
Thanks to all and I hope you respond
hello
a good program is manilla customiser v0.8 which allows you to change separate elements of the TF3D interface (clocks, icons, curtains, sliders + a few other things). This program can be found here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=437420
I don't use the TF3D but I would still want to customize the folders icon (start menu/programs).
As it is now the only icons I have are the [games] and [office mobile] icons (icon.ink file). Ive tried to import the icon.ink file from my Glofiish X500+ but when I transfer them they don't work anymore...
Any suggestions?
Hi
i am useing SK Shortcut Manager to do this.
http://www.s-k-tools.com/sksmgr/sksmgr.html
and the .lnk file doesn' t work if it is transferd to another device for a simple reason.the icon itself is stored in .dll file or in .exe file.you would have to transfer those files to.if you are interested PM me and i will upload my .dll files with icons.

Hi all,
My footprints exe file in the windows directory does not have the footprints icon attached to it. When I move it to my programs it comes up with the standard icon rather than the footprint icon. I have located both the exe and the png icon file all I want to know is how to attach the icon to the exe file to when I create a shortcut the icon is attached to the shortcut.
Thanks
I use osKitchen 1.33.5 with an WWE base leo image 3.14 rom for the HD2
In my kitchen I have been able to change all the start menu icons so they can be added purely by clicking a button in oskitchen. There is one icon I have left on the start menu that I can not seem to get.
I am trying to find the entry for the today icon so I can remove it and add as an app.dat entry in the build. I have done some recearch and all I can find is that the reference to the today icon seems to be in the shellres.192.dll file stored in the Base_DPI_192 folder in the OS.
I am not sure how to modify this and remove the entry. I then also need to create an app.dat file that will allow the user to add back in to the rom if necessary.
Any help would be appreciated.
Cheers!
You can't delete "Today" icon from start menu, especially via app.dat/initflashfiles.txt, as it is hardcodded. Perhaps there is a way to hide it via registry, don't know.
Start_Icon_Today.png
I donĀ“t sure what you want. You can use the icon you want and rename it. If you want delete it perhaps you can use a .provxml like the one in HTC Messaging Client. You can delete the link you want usin the formule of the .provxml in the directory of the .xml
Regards
Im actually looking to see if I can have the option of not having the icon there at all? In my kitchen, you can choose the icons you want in the start menu simply by clicking them.
It then copies the .lnk file into the start menu by using an app.dat file. I was looking to see if this could be done for the today icon.
why not just replace the Start_Icon_Today.png ?
What I've done was, I put a folder in EXT (EXT Packages in osKitchen) called Theme, then inside that folder, I have a new folder called "StartMenu_Icons" (Am using Firestorm icons btw)
folder structure was like this:
Sources
--Devices
----HTC <my device>
------EXT Packages
--------Theme
----------StartMenu_Icons
------------files
--------------and all Start_Icon_<name>.png
am not sure if that's what you're trying to do
What I am looking to do is to give the user the option to include the today icon simply by clicking a button with in oskitchen. I have been able to do this with all other start menu icons but it doesn't seem possible to do it with the today icon as it seems to be hard encoded
