Hi, I'm a Japanese.
I don't know what proper manner here is, so I'm sorry for the intrusion, and I'm sorry for making this post.
A little information... I have some trouble with English, but it's not bad. My wife is no good though. So, instead of sending E-Mail and SMS in English or roma-ji Japanese on our phones, naturally, we want to use Japanese.
This should be no problem with the WM phones, since I have heard this is possible now that you have "rom cooking" etc.
We liked the Verizon Wireless HTC XV6800 ("Mogul" if Sprint) so we bought two XV6800 on Verizon because Sprint is no good.
Anyway, like I said, with mine it is no problem to just simply use English, but naturally I want to read Japanese website/etc. and converse with my wife. I read that I can get several options for read/write Japanese, but I think the best thing for both of us is to somehow get Japanese OS locale of WM or something.
If I have a PDA device or phone from Japan with WM6 or WM6.1 on it, is there anyway to RIP the ROM from the davice and f or someone who is good experienced cook please use the JP localization information inside the ROM to make English ROM from Titan/XV6800/Mogul into Japanese with MS JP IME too?
Thank you for your attention.

Hi there
I'm thinking to buy a Tatto but I would like to know if Simeji Japanese input works on it. It should be available in the app store. If somebody could please test this for me.
Thanks a lot
Hi all, I am using sogou's mobile ime and its pretty darn good (I also like their full ime) and would like to be able to use the full qwerty keyboard but am having trouble finding the right setting adjustment... mainly cos its all in Chinese and my Chinese is not quite good enough to find the right setting... yet.... can anyone help me find the right settings to reconfigure... Chinese is fine as it will help me recognise the right items to click on... thanks in advance...
Its exciting that we have the HTC_IME mod for x8
but the other problem is:
it doesnt have chinese input, I think it would be much better if we have the
HTC Chinese input, i have searched it on the net, and realized it can be installed, however, I tested on my x8, it doesnt work!
Can anyone help me to have that?
The following attachment is a reference file of the HTC Chinese Keyboard
Thanks will be given to the one who helped me,
help me plz >.<

My X8/E15i was actually bought in China and came with chinese input that was actually quite good. Unfortunately the stock firmware did not allow Google account sync or market access.

Use QQ or Baidu input instead. Those are pretty cool AFAIK.
I would like to be able to change the UI of Android 2.2.1 to Japanese and I can't find any hints on that. Tbh, I'm quite disappointed that Android doesn't support at least all the language including input methods the iPhone does since day 1 (2007).
I found a method to have Japanese text input and it works, more or less. But I want to give the phone to my girlfriend and thereforce a Japanese UI would be perfect.
Any chance on that? It has to be possible to do it manually from getting the specific files off a Japanese ROM maybe? The Japanese HTC Magic equivalent hasn't been officially updated since 1.6, which sucks....
I would be willing to flash a custom ROM if it supports multilanguage out of the box, but I'm fairly new to this Android stuff. So please bear with me.
