Hey yal. I'm at the cottage and want to upload some vids from the phone to YouTube. Problem is that the phone says I need a WiFi connection to upload "large" files. Had a look in the phone settings but couldn't find anything. Is there any way to bypass this limitation?

hey guys,
I tried to share some videos made by myselft on my N1, but, i realized that it's only possilble using a wifi network ! So, do someone knows if i can do something to share over 3G network ? I mean any software that trick my phone and make it believe that is on wifi!
Thanks anyway !
Interestingly enough I found that I can upload any size video to youtube via 3g by using the seesmic twitter app. Run the application, and go into setup to change video sharing to youtube from yfrog. Then enter your credentials. From then on, when you record a video, click share and then seesmic. It will automatically start the seesmic app with a tweet started "http://www.youtube.com/********". Let automatic the upload continue in the background and once you check back and it is a solid link you know it's complete. You do not have to tweet the link as it's already active, simply copy the link to whatever means you which to distribute.
weird I have had no problems uploading via 3G Did a test one a week ago here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_LpuZexiJPY
hey, this really do the trick! thanks! But there is no way to share direct from youTube appl? (Only have a problem with big files, i believe 2mb+)

Ok so I modified the the none bubble Mms.apk for froyo to allow 5mb and high quality (1920x2560) transfers. I'm able to send them fine and I know this cause my friend with an iphone can get them as I sent them.
however if she sends me a pic, my epic will download the high quality pic (700kb), but when I save it to the memory card its only (93kb) and 640x480...
Anyone know why this is?
Is it just a save issue or is the phone not really downloading the full 700kb it says it is?
Thanks...
EDIT:
never mind, I figured it out

It might be nice to say what you did in case someone else has this issue and comes upon your post in search.
Hey would you mind posting the working version.

Ok basically it was a settings issue within the app itself...
you need to go into the Mms settings and under "Custom User-Agent" select "Custom" then enter any name you want for the custom user agent... You might need to restart the messaging app, but I tested it and was able to save at full 2560x1920 ...
I'm going to post the modded Mms as an update.zip in case anyone wants to use it...
It's only been tested on froyo.
you might need to clear the messaging data...
settings>applications>manage applications>All>messaging>clear data
Would u be able to do something lik thi with the bubble version ms.apk of froyo?? If so would it be too much to trouble you for that?

Hey when i try to download on Megaupload or filesonic and more , it only downloads . Her explains
If file have 2 mb when it download it only download 26.7 kb anyone know why ? You can try urself it happened on all browser
I can download from both sites at a good speed. Are you downloading over WiFi or mobile data?
If WiFi then you might have a poor connection or your isp is restricting you from the site.
If your using mobile data, then are you connected using 3g or 2g?

I find the same thing aswell. I only use the default browser and it only downloads a few kb and that's it. I have once successfully downloaded a file but most time it doesn't work.

I tried on WiFi and 3G, both downloaded the same files from Mega and Filesonic.
I do same situation but what I do is to try and download through my laptop. I think the siturid do to a break in the data transmission being received from the network

Hi
For an odd reason, which I'd rather not explain, I have to make my MyTouch unable to play movies, but I want to enable it later. May someone advice me how to do it please? My device is rooted and I know the danger of modifying and moving system files. I need a solution!
Thank you very much!!

Please.. Does someone know any file that if I delete it I'm unable to watch movies? What is the name of the built in app which controls movies? Where can I find it?
Well I managed to drop my NS in the most unfortunate way, which cause the display to stop functioning, I can see the drop down menu.... kinda, but that is about the only way I know it is on.
Is it possible to recover the data I had on it? Pictures and videos?
And for my new phone is there a way to syc my photos online somehow?
Thanks,
PS, I had a pin lock on the screen.
Yes you can.
I am assuming you have enabled usb debugging.
Download Android Commander and make a backup of your sdcard using that.
