MP3-Player and Playlists with Kies - Galaxy S I9000 General

Hi,
i got my sgs yesterday and i am wondering why the stock mp3-player does not recognize playlists which i sync with kies. the mp3 files will be synced, also the *.pla playlist file, but the player doesn't show it. my whole music library is based on playlists and i don't want change this. I also tried doubletwist which can read *.m3u files but, because of the lagging problem i have, it's impossible to use this. I also do not want to flash my phone after 2 days of usage.
Is there any way to create playlists on pc which i can use with the default mp3-player? I also tried creating playlists directly in the player but for me its too circumstantial doing this for 20 compilations.
I am pleased for any advice.

same problem for me cant seem to transfer awhole playlists in PC to SGS with kies, really like Samsung Music Player but because of this thing i have to use Doubletwist

If you use mixZing, it'll be able to read your .m3u playlist files, and if i may add, it got one of the most advanced equalisers on the market.

Windows Media Player 10

Hi guys,
just noticed a problem when I use my desktop to sync windows media player playlists with my jam. When I sync 3 playlists across it copies all of the music files to the storage card, but not the actual lists themselves which means I have to reconstruct the playlists on my device or listen to all 3 sets of music together in a jumble.
Any idea where I'm going wrong?
Thanks

Good question.
I can create playlists on my PDA but I can't save them. Once I close the program, they're gone.

Sense Music Playlist Import?

Is it possible to import a playlist created on your PC i.e. .m3u into the HD2 and make it appear in the sense music player?
Can you sync music/playlist on your PC with the HD2?
Yes, use Windows Media Player and right click on the playlist and press "Add to sync list" and it will appear in the sense player when done.
Thanks...I'll give that a try
Just tried this but only music being transferred and found by sense music player...NOT playlists...Are you sure this works??
I'm wondering this, too...how can I get my fifty gazillion song playlist onto my phone without sitting down for hours and manually re-creating it? This is very frustrating. Can't we stick a text file or xml or something into the phone system to get sense to recognize it?

Not exactly what you are looking for, but give it a try.

Doesn't work. I've got a Windows Media Player playlist on my pc that I want to copy to my phone and have Sense or at least WMP recognize it...anyone know how to do that, specifically?

Did anyone come up with a solution to this?
I have tried all sorts to get a playlist from my PC into my HD2 and to show up in the sence player to no avail
I've been playing with different ways to get my music on and seem to have a working solution using MusicBee which gets all my music including tags and album art into sense perfectly. It copies playlist over but I can't get sense to recognise them. Getting fed up with recreating playlists every time I change my music over on my phone
If anyone knows a way to get playlists into the sence player it would be most appreciated.

M3U playlists not showing up

Anyone else having an issue getting the music player to see .m3u playlist files?
I don't use Kies since I'm on a Mac, so I copy everything over onto the SDcard. The media scan completes but my playlists don't show up in the player.
If I use a music player from the market (such as doubleTwist) then it sees and plays the M3U files fine.
I'm not particularly fussy what player I use, but recognising my playlists is a basic prerequisite.
Do you found a solution
I have the same problem....
Thanx
I have the same frustrating problem. I hope we can get it sorted out.
Same problem here on my t-mobile vibrant any luck with a fix. Im using missing sync for android on my mac and after sync i see all my music but no playlists show up. If you navigate to the music on the sd card you can see all the playlists.
No fix I'm aware of.
I'm using a combination of iSyncr and Lithium Player to sync with iTunes and play/scrobble music.
Only 10 but I copied 25.
I'm using windows playlist. I copy over(example) 25 playlist but only 10 actually show up. They are all the same format as well. It also doesn't seem to actually store them. By that I mean that it's not that it is only shows 10 there are only ten on the card? Even though I copied 25 across. it says copy is successful and everything.
Desire 2.1 Sense. Not rooted.
Another one with the same problem here. Samsung Galaxy S spanish movistar version, no m3u lists showing when copied from my macbook.
Is the problem solved with kies?
It wouldn't be the fastest way, but it will always be better than make de playlists on the pone.
I surrender... I want to use the default music player from my Galaxy S, so I finally choose this way, from lycan_codex, just search: "[Q] What Playlists formats are supported by Samsung Galaxy S music player?". I will write to Samsung an email and wait if they will fix (if it's need fixed, I mean that samsung maybe don't want to able read m3u files for any reason).

[Q] Best way to manage music on G1

I've done countless searching and haven't been able to find a really simple way to manage all my music on my phone from my PC.
I'd like the phone to work like an iPod would work with iTunes when set to manually manage. However, I don't want to have to sync playlists.
So, basically Is there a media player/manager program that will detect my drive as a device with media files on it, and then allow me to drag & drop new files onto it, play from it, delete files off it, and edit tags & playlists on it, without having to sync specific playlists? WMP almost does this, but doesn't allow the media on the device to be played. It's driving me crazy.

Anyone know a good music player with playlists?

I used to keep my Ipod Nano in my car hooked up with an Aux cable but my Ipod's screen died so I ripped all my music from it onto my hard drive with different folders corresponding to different playlists i had set up.
I remember setting up playlists in the default android music app but they disappear everytime i flash a new ROM.
Ideally, I would like a music player that is able to use the playlists I have setup in Itunes but I do not mind making playlists again as long as they save the playlists on the SD card.
Anyone know of a music player that saves the playlist on the SD card so if I have to hard reset, i dont lose the playlist?
Thanks
Hey, this might be something you're interested in.
The app Audiogalaxy allows you to stream audio to your phone from wherever you setup the server.
You just download the app and download the server from the website and you can use whatever folders you set up with the helper.
I have access to all 60gb of my music as long as I have a data connection streams great. : )
Winamp... Also, if you d/l winamp on your computer you can sync it with itunes and your itunes playlists. then you can also sync your phone with winamp. At least I am pretty sure that's right.
Sweet, I will try these out after work!
I like the sound of this. I'll try it out now
I like stock Samsung player, but if you want something different i recommend DoubleTwist-its nice looking, simple and has streaming.
You could try the MiUi music player found here on xda.
Sent from my always stock, froyo Epic
Use Meridian. You can back up your playlists using the Play Q tab. Simply export your current playlists to the play Q. You can export the play Q lists to the regular playlist tab after flashing new roms. I love that feature
Also with winamp, you can push your music to your device over a wireles network, no cables needed!
CM7 ON MY EPIC!
RE: best music player with playlists...
I've tried a few music players and have to agree that Winamp is really good (and free). It just got a update and I think improved it a lot. The playlist function is really well done. I'm going to have to try the wireless transfer. Thanks for that tip!
Mortplayer. Its the bomb completely customizeable.
cd's or tapes?
