Stopping Vibrate When Wi-Fi Is Turned On

I was wondering if anyone knew a registry tweak that would STOP the phone from vibrating (3-4 vibrates ANNOY me ) when you turn the Wi-Fi switch on, on the side of the phone? Thnx
mine doesn't do that... strange?
It's only when the phone is on "vibrate"
maybe there's a noise that you have set to play when wifi is switched, and since you're on vibe, it will vibrate instead.
As I said, I don't have this problem, and neither does anyone I know who has this device.
Then again, we're all professional types who turn off the keytones and sliding sounds right away. Maybe that has to do with it.
is vibrating when you turn the wrieless on
or is it when it finds a wireless ap
I would try in your sounds and notificatins goto notifications
in the selection list select "wireless network detected", make sure the vibrate button is not ticked
Yeah, I don't know what you have set up because mine definitely doesn't do that, even when the phone is on vibrate.

flight mode problems...

hey all,
my problem is this: if i put my BA into flight mode, after a random period of time (its been anything from 5min to 30min) it automatically comes out of flight mode and switches back to the phone being on.
now, i'm basically using my BA as a pure pda so i haven't even got a sim card in it... if i can disable the phone side of things all together, that'd be great, but if not some kind of fix to stop it reenabling the phone would be much appreciated.
thx~

Hi
have the same Problem in Flight-mode. Is there anybody who knows how to patch this?
This might be a problem for me..
I'm away to KL next week (12hrs in the plain)
Flight-Mode
Be sure, that no application (like Pushmail) is starting any GPRS-Connection.
In my case (installed HTC Comm-Manager), I can't start/stop Pushmail over the Comm-Manager - i change the settings in ActiveSync (Shedule) and change to manualy.
Then it's recommended that you stop the Data-Conneciton. I can't stop it with Comm-Manager, so I use the G-Symbol in the Titelbar to end the connection.
Perhaps it helps.
Chris
I think i've found a fix for this... well, so far my phone hasn't gotten out of flight mode for 72 hours so i'm hoping this is a fix.
anyways, goto start>settings>menu and make sure "profiles" is enabled
then goto start>profiles
in all the profiles, for the ring type select "none" and set the phone volume to the lowest setting then click apply for each one separately
eg: click on general, select "none" for ring type, set the phone volume to none, click "apply" or "ok" (its the left softkey). then go back into the program and repeat for silent, etc etc...
but yeah, this seems to have worked for me so far. ^_^v

help needed - phone.apk force close and phone freeze and reboot issues on jvt

Guys,
I'm having some issues with my i9000 galaxy s with the stock jvt rom (flashed via KIES). I recently started using a bluetooth headset (jabra easygo) with my phone and whenever i end a call while using the headset (whether its an outbound call or incoming call) i get the phone.apk force close and phone take a moment to get reception back.
That is not new, i used to get force closes before also when i had data enabled and a call came in, at the end of which i would get the phone.apk force close.
But with the bluetooth headset, the bigger problem is after the FC once the phone has got reception back, although it still shows the bluetooth headset as paired in the notfication bar, the headset is not paired. Regardless of whether i turn bluetooh off and back on, it still shows as the headset as paired in the notification area and wont pair even when pressing connect in the bluetooth settings menu on the phone.
If i turn phone's bluetooth off and back on more than once and try to pair the phone and headset, the phone's screen goes black and i hear the boot up animation music after a second, but the screen is still blank. The phone's touch sensitive buttons light up if touched during this time, but the phone takes a while to boot back up. And the screen only comes back on, on repeatedly pressing the power key during this time, and that too, in stages, like the notification area shows up, but the rest of the screen is blank at first then it appears after about 6 seconds or so.
Can anyone help me figure out why exactly this happens, and how to fix it. I never had this problem with JVO. My phone is a UK unlocked version btw.
Sorry for the long post
Hi,
Flash a rooted kernel (if you still don't have it) and try this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=18233030&postcount=83
phone fc with bt is known issue, as said root your phone (it is a must)
best way is with cf root -> http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=741552&d=1317892633
unzip it so the fileextension is tar and flash via odin in phone download mode. do not tick repartition do not add anything else just add the extracted tar aas PDA and press start
next you need a Phone FC fix for JVT
download DO NOT UNZIP and copy to internal phone sdcard JVT_odex_STOCK+_incring.zip
in appdrawer find app app called cwm oen it agree to superuser usage
find flash update/flash an update.zip locate the JVT_odex_STOCK+_incring.zip and let it reboot your phone
this will install fix for phone fc also add landscape mode to dialer and phone while leavingnon increasing ringtone

Whenever I switch from LTE/3G to wifi the Hands Free starts by itself. At first I thought I was touching the home button every time I came home and left the car, was "driving" me crazy... But finally figured it was when I changed to my home wifi that it started automatically.

Dasdman, so how do you fix this issue ?
Everytime when i return home and the phone automatically change to home wifi, the hands-free mode turn on automatically
But I want to use my home wifi when i am at home, or my office wifi when i am at office
but i DO NOT want the hands-free mode turn on.
Is there any solution to solve this??? Is this a FLAW ?? a BUG ??
I have not seen a solution or any widespread problem reported. I have confirmed it auto starts when switching from 3G/LTE/4G to WIFI.

Hands-free mode bug
I have the same issue. I bet they call it a feature but it is a bug. I do not need hands-free mode while I am connected to my home wifi. Why would anyone want to have that mode turned on automatically again, after I turned it off?
This is a bug - looking for a solution!
Problem Solved
I found a solution to the problem - at least it worked for me.
Go to location services under settings, chose my places, chose car, select method - none, save.
Now the hands-free mode does not turn on automatically.
Hope this works.

Was having the same issue on my Tmobile N3.
This Works. I remember at one point adding these settings in. Would have never thought that it would do all that. Either way thank you! :good:

You, my friend, are some kind of genius! This thing has been bugging me for weeks! Thank you, from the bottom of my heart!
Sent from my GT-I9500 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
I hope this helps someone...
I found this thread via a search for my issue, which is that I have an S4 (SCH-I545) running MK2 and Hyperdrive and when I put it in the iBolt xPro car dock, 2 instances of HANDSFREE show in the notification panel. A screenshot of the screen when docked.
Itried the actions described in this thread, buit those boxes were already unchecked.
I found on another thread that disabling the S Voice app would help.
Well, turning off the S Voice app did get rid of one, of the two instances of HANDSFREE, in the notification panel, when docked.
Now to figure out how to remove the other....
I have the same exact problem and it's very annoying as it read out messages and answers phone calls sometimes too when it hears people talking in the background
Really stupid I'm thinking to switch to iOS

[Q] Vibrate on call

Hi there,
I'm having an issue with my S5 which is starting to become problematic. When I set my phone to vibration mode and I am called, the phone only vibrates once (shortly) and then goes silent. It does not keep vibrating. This is an issue as my phone is always on vibrate whenever I am at work and I'm missing a lot of calls due to this.
I've tried setting a custom vibrate pattern to no success. When sound is on I can choose to 'vibrate when ringing', but this option is greyed out when I set the phone to vibrate only.
Is this the intended way of functoning? Can I change it somehow? Thanks in advance!
